Hello Ladies I ordered my Sand Ceremony frame from "The Forever Frame" https://foreverframe.com/ for our Oct 2012 wedding. Cost: engraving, frame, 4 lbs of sand=~$100 USD (I had extra sand so could have ordered less) Shipping to Canada from States=~$50 USD Sand colours: as of October 2012 the colours on the webpage are exact matches to David's Brial colours Seller: This is sold by a family business and the seller Elaine Kendall was extremely helpful on email. Was it worth the price vs. making on own? Yes for us it was. The "keeper plate" (plastic 3 sides of a square shaped that locks in and keeps sand from moving) kept it from mixing on the long flight home. If you are crafty you may be able to make your own but we didn't have the time or skills. I also liked that you can change the photo easily without re-doing the sand. Picture #1-empty frame with engraving on bottom Picture #2-Us pouring the sand during the wedding ceremony (vases from Michael's for $1 each) Pic #3-The sand ceremony frame with wedding picture at our At Home Reception Ceremony Script: Here is the sand cereony script the JP read. We got the original script from BDW and Dreams and edited it heavily. JP ceremony first, then vows [sand ceremony set up on table Bride and Groom] "Bride and Groom, you have just sealed your relationship by giving and receiving of rings and have committed here today to share the rest of your lives together. To symbolize this union and the importance of the individuals within the marriage, two separate colours of sand will be combined. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and can be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create and entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Please pour the sand into this common vessel to symbolize the union of your two lives. [begin pouring sand (frame pre-filled), Groom first, then Bride, layering, then together while JP reads text below] Although you will be sharing one life, never forget that you are two separate people. Cherish and affirm your differences. Love each other. Keep your commitment primary. Together you will laugh and cry, be sick and well, be happy and angry, share and grow. Beth and Dan, just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual container, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, onelife, and one family. [signing of symbolic license]

Dreams La Romana

Hi We choose the silver menu (the less expensive menu). We chose several appetizers for the cocktail hour. For the dinner at the reception we chose 1 soup, 1 appetizer, 1 main, 1 dessert for all guests. The dreams brochure says that you get the same for the more expensive gold menu, but differet (i.e. more expensive) food options. -
Here is a compilation of a few sand ceremonies I found on BDW. Let me know if you can't download the word document Sand Ceremony Script Ideas.docx

Actually now that I look at it, the chairs and guests are behind you (furthest away) and you are standing at the rocky beach looking in.....yes that's right! -

Hi We are getting married at DLR Oct 29th We are getting married in the private beach gazebo next to the jungle restaurant. There is a small square wooden platform in the sand and a rocky beach behind us. It is a rocky beach, not smooth sand going into the water, but it's completely private and you can see the ocean behind you. If you get married on the public beach I think they can section off an area for your wedding, but you will have to use crowd control to keep other guests from being in the background of you pictures. I've also seen some beautiful pics of weddings on the Seaside grille pier as another option? They can do the reception on the public beach so I don't see why they can't do the ceremony??? -

Hi somethingblue77 My FI picked my engagement ring out at Blue Nile too, and it's a similar solitaire like yours (see bellow with wedding band). It has 4 prongs like yours, maybe even the same setting? I tried on lots of different wedding bands at Spence Diamonds to see what I liked without the salesman pressure. I looked at eterninty bands with smaller diamonds, but none of them looked right with the solitaire. Have you tried the e-ring with 2 eternity/diamond wedding bands on either side of it? That seems to balance it out I think. You could also look for wedding bands that have diamonds on the edge rather than the top of the band? Good luck shopping! Vancouver Bride -
Hi We ordered the Forever Frame from www.foreverframe.com. The frame, engraving, and 4lbs of guava and blue sand (fills it half up) was $102 US Dollars. The company answers tons of emails so I could match the sand colours (they are the same as David's Bridal's colours), and were amazing with customer service. It has a plastic plate that locks in to prevent the sand from moving when filled half way. We are mixing coloured sand with real sand from the beach. Here is a demo picture from their webpage. Here is what the empty frame looks like with the metal engraving at the bottom. If you are planning on filling up the entire frame with sand, then the keeper plate isn't really necessary, so maybe you can find a less expensive option. If you join the company's Facebook or Twitter page, you get monthly discounts. Will post pics from our wedding in 5 weeks! Vancouver Bride
