Okay ladies I need to vent a bit. So I called my mom yesterday to ask about when they were thinking about reserving their rooms and if they need me to pay the initial amount since I owed them some $$ from college anyways. Long story short my parents end up telling me that because crops were so horrible this year (Dad used to be a farmer but is going blind and now only does the business side of the farm) they have no money. They are selling everything they own except their house and vehicles, remortgaging, Dad is quitting farming and getting a job, Mom is quitting college (I was so proud she is going back for her bachelors) and getting a job or two... ect. I know money was tight and they had already had said no Christmas gift this year Anyways my fiance and I- we both make good money right now, were trying to figure out how we could make this work. We were going to try to pay for them if his parents would maybe pay for some of the things when we got to MX (music for the reception, ect). He went over to their house to talk to them and a little while later told me to come over too. I guess when his dad found out that we were considering changing to a wedding back home he said "What does Natalie (me) want? If she wants to get married in Mx we'll pay for them all to get there." So now FI's parents, who were already paying for them, us, his brother and SIL, and his grandparents to come are paying for my parents and 3 of my 4 siblings. As grateful as I am for them and as honored as I am that they love me so, I am just put in a hard position here. My parents think we are the ones paying for them, but now his parents must think bad about my parents, and FI is a little upset my mom and dad didn't come to me sooner, which I understand. My parents live on the other side of the country and now this is how FI is going to think of them- as poor people who can't support themselves instead of the hard working, loving, great parents they are who happen to run into bad luck. But also- After all of that my FI and I sat and were talking and he said "what about your 12 and 16 year old sister and brother? Are they getting no Christmas presents?" He was so upset by this we decided to call my parents and tell them we will be their Santa this year. I'm excited to go shopping And am reminded of how much I love that man!! Sorry this got really long. Lots of tears last night but I'm happy to say I'm still a Moon Palace Bride! And my mom, dad, and siblings will be there- and that's all that really matters!

Morning Friends! First of all- Looks like you have all been busy! I'm liking EVERYTHING you are doing and wish I could be a guest at all your "bodas". I just got back from a "body pump" class at the gym which kicked my @$$. My hands are still shaking. Anyways my goal for the rest of the AM is to make a master list of all my DIY goals for the wedding and start planning needed supplies. So far I've been winging it and I need to get organized!! Hopefully going to make the most of my 4 day weekend (LOVE 12 hr shifts!). Happy planning ladies P.S. Does anyone else realize next week is THANKSGIVING! When did this happen? I thought yesterday was September LOL! CrAzY

Wow I love those flowers- ranunculus you said they're called? Yeah if it were my choice I'd have just the roses and ranunculus and mix them together- actually I might steal that look for mine only add some hydrangeas. But of course it's your choice not mine and has to fit with your overall look. I agree with getting rid of the orchids but I'm not a big fan of them either. Good luck!!

How much did you spend on them? Love em btw -
Aww sorry to hear that girl!! That jewelry was priceless to you... I hope you have other things to remember your mom and grandma by. Love from Texas Welcome!! You will find this website (esp this tread) very helpful I'm sure. Plus since your wedding is later then most of us on here you can learn from our advice AND mistakes Sorry to hear that coco. Like you said "bumps and bruises". We all have them Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Just found the BEST DEAL!! 50 beverage koozies for $3.99! They say "we found paradise" on them. Buying them to put in my OOT bags and to give at our AHR. Reviews say they are cheaply made and bad quality, but for that price you can't go wrong! Plus it's just an addition to the OOT bag, not the main thing. http://www.orientaltrading.com/we-found-paradise-beach-theme-can-covers-a2-3_2003-11-1.fltr?xsaleSku=3/2303

Haha! Coco-I love how you FI's one contribution you think is silly. My FI makes me laugh because one day he wants nothing to do with the planning and the next he wants it all his way (he can be a bit of a prima donna). One day we were arguing because he wants all of the men standing with him at the alter and just the women to walk down the isle and I want the men to escort the women. Then the other day I wanted his okay on my photographer choice b/c I was about to sign the contract and pay our down payment and then he started asking me questions and was like "wait- we're doing a dinner after?" bahaha!! No silly, we are having a ceremony and reception and nothing to eat. Goodness. I said "you're all concerned about whether or not the men walk down the isle but you haven't even thought about if we're serving a meal?!" He keeps me laughing, that's for sure! Anyone else finding silly things to argue with their "better half" about these days??

Also- about people not being able to make it- my heart drops a bit every time someone says they can't come, especially because I know they would have been there in a heartbeat if it were in my hometown. In the end we need to decide if the romantic, adventurous idea of a DW out rules the lovely, traditional weddings. For me and my FI's situation it does, but not without a little disappointment. We are going to leave those thoughts here though- this is our day and we cannot wait to enjoy it with those who come. I know I will be a beaming bride no matter what goes wrong in the planning, dealing with "mexico time" and who can't show up. And you ladies help me with this when I hear about your own happy and sad times in this process. LOVE!!

Aww I just read the correction coconoir- No big deal at all I just wanted to say they turned out lovely for you!! Okay first WELCOME NEWBIES!! I have been MIA for it seems like a day and you all are busy busy!! My charger for my computer died so I have to use my FI's dinosaur which makes things difficult. I have also put myself on a 2 week spending freeze (which my FI thinks is hilarious, but he'll thank me when it's over!) and have been sick. Lucky for me my Lame life LOL. So what do I do when I have no energy to do anything but sit on the couch? Sit on the couch and make things!! Here's my DIY barefoot jewelry for my bridesmaids!! (Compliments of my amazing new nikon camera, which is the reason I'm on a spending freeze) The one with more copper in the small beading is for my MOA. I got most of the beads half off at hobby lobby (note- NEVER buy anything full price at hobby lobby- it will be half off in a week or two! Just keep checking their ads. LOL!) SO psyched about them!! I have to thank {RED-I} I totally stock your webpage for inspiration. I would have purchased pieces from you in a HEARTBEAT if I wasn't already a jewelry maker myself!

Yay!! Congrats! And thanks for the reminder- I also need to do that! LOL... LOVE you ladies Thank you so much for the compliments on my dress! Sharing this with you all makes it so much more exciting. Also, I've been DIYing on this lovely day- Here's attempt #1 on barefoot jewelry- I've been making jewelry since I was young and so got out my beads- not my colors but it's just to inventory supplies. Plus I might wear these for fun! (took the pic on my phone- sorry it's bad quality)
