Last but certainly NOT least... the grand finally (unless I decide to post more later) My favorite. The itinerary booklet. This was a beast as I made them all from scratch. But I'm so happy with the way they turned out. All the paper really is the same color, it's just the picture that looks funny. They pretty much describe themselves. Hope all of this information helps someone out!! Please check again in June when I post some AFTER PICTURES!!! (Not that I'm excited for it to be over...) -

Our sand ceremony supplies. Just some more Hobby Lobby 50% off stuff... The third vial will hold sand from the beach and be our "grounded in The Lord" sand. I'm a little disappointed in these, but they we a last-minute add to the OOT bags. I wanted to do personalized flip-flops but my family has to big of feet!! This is not the color I wanted and is hard to read on the cups, but oh well, no turning back now. No very expensive at least!! Because all of my guest love the idea of my homemade jewelry I whipped out these bad boys for all the women. They'll be in little boxes by their place settings for the dinner, the men will have cigars! Sorry these are in no order at all, but here's our OOT bags. 70% off after christmas!! I added the welcome of course!! -

... continuing with the scrapbook, cause I love it that much!! I some of the pages... ... and this is the envelope that I put each page in. This will go in the OOT bag and be returned to us at the farewell breakfast. This will be tied onto green paper fans with wooden ends with the same green ribbon on the waves. These will be tied onto the maracas shown in the beginning of the thread. They will be at each place setting. One side says "shake 4 kiss", the other a name of guest. I used chalkboard paper from Hobby Lobby with gold stamp ink. The letters SHIMMER in person Do you not LOVE our signature drink sign?!? Hellllllo mog pog Mojitos are green baby -

Okay ladies I'm going to start my updates... We leave 3 weeks from Tuesday This was a quick add-on to the DIY projects- another stolen idea, but that's what this website is foooooor (so please- steal away!!) Simple ribbons hot-glued to wooden sticks which I painted with some champagne-shimmer paint. I bought blumeboxes for centerpieces and just got an extra for this. Another fairly simple project. I would have done more to it but I'm running out of stamina- plus I had a deadline of Friday as I worked this weekend and start grad school tomorrow morning. One side says this and the other has a ghandi quote. My bridesmaids and I will put our boutiques in them. (Ivory roses) Super fantastice Etsy find- Scrabbyscrap made me a personal scrapbook which includes a page (front and back) per couple. They will write a note to us, their favorite memory, and advice for our marriage, and we will put a picture of them on their page upon return. Super excited!! Scrabbyscrap did an amazing job- it was a little expensive but I have said all along that pictures are going to be my priority $$ as that is what we will have to look back at our time. The vendor was quick to respond to my original messages but did not send me any pictures while making it which I requested. It turned out better then I imagined so I'd still buy from her again (future gifts?!). It did take her awhile so plan ahead!! I bought it this winter and kinda forgot about it- what a great surprise when it showed up on my door!! -

That wasn't my actual garter it was just one that looked similar. I actually got mine from a bridal gown store I popped into one day to look at jewelry. But you could just buy some gems and make one yourself! With such a bright orange it may have been more difficult for me to make, plus when I found it and it was like $15 I was like "one more thing checked off my list" -
Well Ladies I'm officially done with all of my DIY projects!! Yay!! Right in time to start grad school Monday. (Esp considering I'm working 2 12 hr shifts this weekend! On a break now!) I fly out June 5th... It's finally coming!! I'm getting so excited! Finally everything has been booked and confirmed with Moon palace the past few weeks, I've finished my itinerary, I've even did a trial pack of all the oot bag and decorations to make sure they all fit- 46 lbs baby!! Plus a little more that will fit in my clothes bag, and some that other family is bringing lol. I'm planning on taking a break from work/studies next week to finish my planning thread I'll let you know when I'm done!

MCA I see your wedding date is Nov 10th. I'm sorry to tell you this, but my wedding is June 10th and I just secured my locations a few weeks ago. I wouldn't worry aobut he carriage ride as I have never heard of that not being available. It is very frustrating as people who get married here in the states reserve their lcoations sometimes years in advance but they will not let you until 2 months prior I have taken comfort in knowing that there are many beautiful locations to choose from. On that note, I finally had to call Moon Palace to get someone to listen to me (but I was less than 60 days out at the time, before that I only dealt with them via email). Also I went through like 4 coordinators.

Thank you ma'am!! -
You have all been soooo busy and this forum is just a-hoppin!! Everything is looking so exciting To my friends who are now "MRS." Congrats, I can't wait to see more PICTURES and read each of your reviews!! 2 quick question for you ladies- I'm looking at doing a "scavenger hunt" the first day, nothing too big or drawn out just so the guest can get to know each other and a little bit of the resort. Any suggestions or ideas on that? I'm going to try to stick to the Nizuc area because the resort is too big and that is where we will be eating immediately after the hunt. Also, I'm looking at doing a farewell brunch but not using a reservation -just meeting at a restaurant. Which restaurant did you like most for breakfast and/or did you think would be easiest for us all to meet up at? Thanks!!

Well according to KCDawn you can get the mediums in a certain color! I wish I would have know that before I got mine! KCDawn- It didn't take more than 2 weeks to get them, I think only a few days. They were super fast. shan- maybe you and KCDawn should PM each other and make sure you can still order a specific color so you don't both make the same mistake if you can't! Thanks mrsjdh2b!! I (finally) have a phone meeting with my planner next Wednesday after crying to her on the phone yesterday- but I think it's going to be at Tucan Terrance! You? -

I used a glossy clear acrylic sealer- it's a spray-on. "Plaid" brand, I think I got that at Hobby Lobby too lol. And just so you know the the "big" variety of maracas from Amols are really big. Unfortunately you can't order mediums in a specific color, but if you're okay with just a variety of bright colors you might go with the mediums, they would be easier to fit in a suit case! We were going to wait and buy some there but I decided not to risk it... -

I'm keeping decorations for the reception area simple. Every place setting will have one of these.. Amols.com they were just over a dollar a piece after shipping. I painted the handles a darker green and glazed them so they match my colors more. . Also on everyone's spot will be this menu... I got all of my paper at Hobby Lobby as well whenever it was 40% off. I bought these chair ribbons from another BDW bride, who I also got the idea of the maracas from. I think the ribbon and maracas will add a pop of color. I plan on going into Cancun when I get there and purchasing glass vases and filling them with limes for the centerpieces. If I find cheap white roses in Cancun I might add them as well. If this plan fails I'll just get something simple from MP. I realize that this plan might result in going without a centerpiece but that's okay with me. -

Okay so here is what I have for my OOT bag so far... My weeding weekend survival kit. Includes simple meds, cough drops, laughy taffy, gum, chapstick, hand sanitizer, pens, and a few other things. A door hanger. I plan on putting together a welcome packet, and this will go in it... This is the bag I will be using (1/2 off after christmas- glad I choose a christmas color LOL). I got the sandal deck of cards and the ID holders from Oriental trade. I will throw a few ring pops in. I also bought plastic cups for everyone that are personalized but I haven't receive them yet... stay tuned. We had planned to do personalized flip-flops but I have too many people in my family with big feet... I for my bridesmaids I got a few more pampering supplies (might add to this)... The guys will also get some cigars with their flip flops. -

Ladies- I have experience making jewelry but these were very easy pieces! Especially the barefoot jewelry- I bought stretchy string from a craft store and just beaded them almost like a necklace. Start with the beads that go around your toe and then add the ones on the top of your foot- (those will be through both ends of your string) and then separate the two ends again for around your ankle and tie in the back! I got most of the beads and the string at hobby lobby when they were 40% off so it was very inexpensive. For the bracelets I used jewelry wire and a clasp as shown below. At first I tried the stretchy string but it was too hard to tie. This worked better and I liked that the final product was more chunky-looking. This was my favorite part of planning so far!
