So I know I promised pictures of my dress from babyonline, but I don't have any yet. Overall I can say that I am not happy with the dress. I do not have pictures because the dress doesn't fit. It is definitely at leat two sizes smaller than the size requested. I matched my measurement (taken profesionaly) with the best standard size and I can not even get the dress on. The material is also very thin. In most wedding dresses there are a few layers to the botom to give it some volume. This dress was litterally just two pieces of satin sewn together. They included a hoop skirt, which I am guessing was intended to give volume. The dresses was a mermaid and the hoop skirt looks ridiculous with it. The fabric is so think that you could see the outline of the circles in it. I also requested for the belt to be solid beading with rhinestones and pearls with no sequins. They said that they could do this. There was not one pearl on the belt. There were several sequins though. Overall the belt was probably one of the better aspects, but still not anything that I will ever use. I have sent a message to babyonline highlighting some of the issues. I am waiting to hear back on what they are willing to do.

I just checked on the status of my order and it says it was delivered!! It also says signed for my "neighbor n" so I am hoping that it will have made it to my house. I hopefully will have pictures up tonight. (Sorry for all of the updates. I am really nervous!)

I can post pictures of the original too. The dress if you would like to look it up is Brenda by Sottero and Midgley. I asked them to make the beading around the waist into a detachable beaded sash and gave them a picture of a different sash as inspiration. The sash is what i am most worried about since I haven't seen any pictures. The dress was shipped out on September 5th. The shipping is going a little faster than I expected actually. If it is in Ohio today I would expect it at the latest to reach me by Friday.

Joanne- Thank you for all of your feedback! The reason I purchased from babyonline without asking for feedback is because I read through the numerous other posts on this board posted previously. It seemed like that had done a good job with a lot of the other girls dresses. I think that your dress overall looks very good. I agreee that you won't be able to tell the shape until you see it in person and try it on. Most of the lace dresses that I have sen on the board never look like the inspiration dress. They look very pretty, but just don't look the exact same. It seems like the more detailed the dress, the less it will look less like the original. I am sure your dress will be beautiful, but I would try to not overly compare it to the original. According to the tracking number, my dress arrived in Ohio today. I would think I should receive it in Boston by the end of the day tomorrow. I will have my mother lace it up and take pictures. I will post them immediately with my feedback. I am hoping that it will all work out. Still nervous after receiving NO pictures prior to shipment from babyonline, when they specifcally stated that they would send them.

For those who ordered from Babyonline, how long did it take you to get the dress after it was shipped? I have not been nervous until now. Now that they have shipped it without pictures, I am extremely nervous! I am really nervous about getting a package that I have no idea what the dress will look like. I want to get the package and see what it is asap! For the first time I am starting to question my decision to buy a dress from China. I really hope that I am freaking out over nothing.

I also received an email with my tracking number that said my dress was shipped yesterday. Babyonline had promised me pictures before they shipped my dress I did not receive any pictures and when I asked about it I just got an apology. I am now extremely nervous!!! I had them change several things from the inspiration dress and I really wanted to see pictures before shipping. I thought I would definitely have feedback after the pictures. I guess we will see once the dress comes. For now I really don't have a good feeling about it.

I purchased a dress from babyonlin about a week and a half ago! I can't wait to get my pictures of it, but I doubt I will see anything for a few weeks. I used Brenda by Sottero and Midgley as my inspiration dress with a few changes that I requested. Does anyone know if babyonline uses good quality satin? It is a pretty simple dress, so I am sure they will do a great job with it as long as the quality is alright.

I wanted to add that I ordered a similar dress to Brenda by Sottero & Midgley with a few changes I specified from babyonline!! It has only been about a week and a half since I placed the order, so I am sure I will not be getting any pictures for a little bit. Does anyone know what the satin quality is like from babyonline?? I am hoping it is good. The dress is relatively simple so I think they will do a good job with it. Inspiration Dress:

I have heard that babyonline doesn't put the dresses on manequins when they send pictures. I am not sure if they will do that for you.

I have been communicating with babyonline recently and they have gotten back to me very quickly. Monicabridal was a little difficult with the communicatiion for me.

So I had asked for help on which site to use to purchase my dress, but since I have never posted here all of my posts are still being help for the moderator. I purchased my dress from babyonline. It is similar to Brenda by Sottero and Midgley, but I had them change a couple things too. I am so excited to see what my dress looks like in a month!!! So far, I only have great things to say about babyonline. Their communication has been reall amazing. I guess the true test will be what the dress looks like. I will add pictures next months when I get the dress!

Which site do you think would do this dress best? I could really use some help! I was thinking about either Duosheng, babyonline or monica bridal. i would greatly appreciate any opinions. Thank you!

I determined I am going to purchase from a chinese website my wedding dress. I don't want something super complex so I think that will be ably to do a great job. I am getting Brenda by Sottero and Midgley with a change to the belt. I have a couple questions for your girls. I see some of the same websites mentioned over and over in the post (Landy bridal, monica bridal, babyonline, and duosheng), are there any pluses or minuses for each of these vendors? Also is Duosheng now ElegantWeddingFactory? Do you have the contact information for Monica Birdal I can't find the webstie? Thank you so much for your help! I am sure these answers would greatly help me and some others out there!
