  1. Hello! My fiance and I just got back from Mexico two weeks ago. We took a day to look at resorts for our wedding and fell in love with Azul Sensatori. We have our application in for a wedding on October 12, 2012. I cannot say enough wonderful things about AS. Our inspection of the resort lasted one hour. They gave us a tour of the entire resort. Every restaurant we stopped at, they had a special drink waiting for us. There are two major reasons we picked this resort. First, they had their stuff together. Since I am a very type A personality, it made me feel very confident in the resort. (Some of the other resorts we visited had us wait for a while before the tour, I felt like they were not expecting us.) Every person we met was very nice and helpful. Second, the food was great! We were staying at another resort (which was our first choice for the wedding) and the food was not very good. We are big foodies. During our tour at AS we mentioned this and they let us have lunch there. It was great! If anyone has any questions about the resort, let me know. I asked a lot of questions and the hour tour also provided us with a lot of information.
  2. Hi everybody! Our trip to Now Sapphire was fantastic. Let's start with the Good...I truly loved the feel of the resort. It was updated but not overly updated, so it still had that authentic Mexico feel. The people working there were amazing! The staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed as Preferred Guests. The perks were nice but totally not necessary. We spent a day by the beautiful pool, a day at the beach, a day on an excursion, and one full day looking at multiple resorts for the wedding. Even though I loved Now Sapphire (from the reviews and pictures online), I wanted to make sure that I considered all my options. We visited several resorts before our scheduled appointment with Anel. During on of the resort inspections, my finance and I fell in love with the Azul Sensatori. So we have decided to have our wedding there. The resort is newer and more modern. But it was the food that changed our minds. The food at Now Sapphire was not as good as we hoped. I have been to 2 other all inclusive hotels and know that the food is different from the US. So I did not go in with super high expectations. However, my fiance and I are huge foodies. I tried my best to keep an open mind (after my first meal was not very good) because we did love everything else about the resort. But after the third bad meal...we knew we could not bring our family and friends here. We cancelled our meeting with Anel so I did not go through my list of questions. I hope that this not deter any of you from having your wedding at Now Sapphire. It is beautiful resort with wonderful people. In fact we saw two weddings and both looked great. I wish all you brides a great wedding!
  3. So excited that I will be at NowSapphire this Friday! It will be nice to have a vacation and relax with the fiance and also be able to start planning this wedding. We got engaged in June and since then so many people have asked how the plans are going. We decided to enjoy the engagement and not start planning until we visit the resort. Can't believe its finally here. @AmyG - Definitely takeing a lot of pictures. I will post a full review, with pictures and answers to all the questions. @Moderncosmo1 - So great that our wedding are around the same time. We will have to grab a drink either before or after our weddings.
  4. Hi fellow Now Sapphire Brides! I am heading to the resort next week and have a meeting set up with Anel. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will add it to my list. then report back to you. Here's my list so far: Any substitutions for wedding packages? How many days in advanced should we arrive? Welcome reception private vs non-private? Cost? Cupcakes instead of wedding cake? Floral arrangements - how many come in the package? If we bring our own, can you provide vases? Fireworks? Webcam? What is the latest the wedding can go to? Sweets table? Cost? What type of alcohol served? Can we have our own Officiant? Spa prices Can I bring my own color/personalized napkins? How much per person over 25 people? What does that include? Outside vendor fees (florist, photographers, etc.) Preferred Club for Bride & Groom / Parents? Is it better to get an additional 2hours of photography or upgrade the package? How much to upgrade for 3 hrs.
  5. @HeatherViolet I have added your questions to my master list and will definitely come back with answers and pictures. Just spoke to my travel agent and am starting to get really excited. Oct 21st can't come soon enough.
  6. My fiance and I actually have a trip booked there this month. We will be there Oct 21st. am going to asks lots of questions, I think I have 20 on my list already, including the charge for extra people as we are expecting 50-75ppl. I have been dealing with Anel Torres via email and will meet up with him during our vacation. His response times on emails is anywhere for 2-5 days.We have already put a deposit down for our wedding (October 12, 2012). We are getting married on the beach and the reception will be on the Tequila Terrace. We chose the Divine Package which comes with a photographer. I have looked at a couple outside photographers but due to budget restraints, I am putting my faith in the ones that they are providing. However, I did choose to do the Trash the Dress photo session. I have seen so many pictures and they are really amazing and one of a kind. I have decided to go with LaLuna (http://www.lalunaphotographers.com/). I will definitely write up a full report document what I find out. If anyone has any other questions, let me know and I will ask. Happy Planning!
  7. I am deciding between the Eternity and Divine package. I am heading to NOW Sapphire Oct 21, 2011 and have a meeting scheduled with the wedding coordinator. My wedding is scheduled for 10-12-12. I will probably decide which package after our trip this year. I will definitely take down lots of notes and share them with everyone. If anyone else has any questions you want me to ask them, just post it and I'll see if I can get the answer.
  8. The emails I received from Anel Torres came from: [email protected] also, you can call + (52) (998) 8728383 Ext. 8046 Hope this helps. Good luck on your planning.
