Show off your shoes....

Soooo pretty!!!! -
I was not thrilled about the flower options either. I decided to get silk flowers and after a lot of research, I found www.bloombridal.com. They had so many good reviews and I loved their flowers! The colors are so bright and vivid. Plus they won't wilt! I will also be using them as centerpieces for my tables. Below are the flowers I ordered for my bouquet and they are creating a matching boutonniere for my fiance. My bridesmaids are going to have small bouquets with just the purple plumerias and the groomsmen purple plumeria boutonnieres. Good luck on your search!

ITINERARY I am having the hotel provide an itinerary sheet to each guest as they check in. My fiance and I are ever so greatful for those who will be able to attend our wedding. I found the following Thank You paragraph that I added to the itinerary. "TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, THANK YOU. IT MEANS THE WORLD TO US TO HAVE YOU HERE. THANK YOU FOR BEING OUR SUPPORT SYSTEM. OUR ENCOURAGEMENT. OUR PARTNERS IN CRIME. FOR LOVING US THROUGH THE UPS AND DOWNS IN LIFE. FOR BEING OUR MENTORS, THEACHERS, AND GUIDES. FORVER GRATEFUL YOU ARE OUR FAVORITE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD AND WE LOVE YOU."

I have not met Ivan Luckie yet but I have seen great reviews and that he responds to emails so quickly is a very good sign. We are only renting the amplifier and microphone. It's $250 for 4 hours. My fiance is putting together all the playlists on his ipod. All pricing for extra items can be found on http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/planning/.I believe you can rent all the DJ type equipment. My travel agent and the wedding coordinator in Miami are two different companies. My travel agent is assisting with travel arrangements and since she specifically is a destination wedding agent and is one of the top travel agents that works with Karisma, she was able to provide us with some wedding freebies. We do not have a locked rate on the rooms which is the down side, but that there is a money back guarantee if we find lower pricing does help. I talked to other travel agents and decided I did not want to lock in a rate, because I had to put a deposit down on every room then worry about, deadlines and loosing my deposit. This was the least stressful option for me.

Trash the Dress....yes or no???
jsal4 replied to sojahseh81's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I just booked my trash the dress session with Ivan Luckie for my October wedding. I am super excited!!!! -
My wedding is October 12, 2012. Coordinating travel is very hard. I did it for my sister's wedding about 2 years ago, but for 16 poeple. We are expecting 50-75 people, so that's why I am using a travel agent. Some guests have had lots of questions about the traveling and I have been researching and updateing my website to share with the other guests. Take a look at my website, under Travel Arrangements (www.weddingwire.com/kurtandjosephine). Hopefully this helps you out! I have been working with a wedding coordinator that works directly with Azul Sensatori but is located in Miami. They assigned her to me when I booked my wedding. I am actually almost done planning everything with the hotel for now. I have ordered flowers, sheers, sound system (no dj for us), made my spa appointments, reserved the location of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and booked my photographer today (I decided to go with an outside vendor, Ivan Luckie....his work looks amazing and worth the extra money). All I have left is ordering the food, which I can't do until I have a head count on the number of guests attending. Also, I am bringing my own decorations and they advised that their is a charge that must be paid in cash on the day of the wedding, when I asked how much she advised no more than $5 per guest. It didn't really make sense to me but I feel like it will still be cheaper than getting all the decorations from them.

My wedding is not until October 12, 2012 but I am a planner. I have been searching around for wording for many things as I like to do a lot of my projects. So I scoured the internet and want to share what I found so that other brides can save time. I will keep adding new items as my planning progresses. If anyone has any other wording that they would like to share, that would be appreciated! I found his name on Azul Sensatori's website: http://www.karismahotels.com/weddings/photo-video-packages I had to email him directly for pricing. This is the link he provided: http://www.matiascano.com/packages2012/ I am still deciding if I want to use him and also if I want to add the Trash The Dress. I have emailed him to send me any pictures he has of TTD sessions as there were none on his website.

I am expecting about 50-75 guests for our wedding. I have been looking over the private event banquest kit. I am a little confused on the dinners. I was just wondering if anyone just picked the meal for the guests or if you let your guests choose, or if you did family style or buffet. Please let me know what you picked and how it worked out. This thread has been super helpful! A pre-thank you to all you girls!

Bridesmaids dresses
jsal4 replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I just found my bridesmaid dresses. My wedding is not until October 2012, but I could not pass this up. I've had a picture of what I wanted in my head and have been searching online. I did not want my bridemaids to pay a lot. I found this dress and with the holiday sales, the price was great! I bought the dress from www.macys.com. -
Just booked our room for 7 nights for our October 12, 2012 wedding. I am very excited. We received confirmation that the ceremony will be on the beach, the cocktail hour at Palapa Yoga and reception at Plaza Zavaz. Now....I have to start figuring out all the details. We were planning on renting the sound system (amplifiers and microphone) and just bringing our Ipod with different playlists. However, my fiance is concerned that the sound quality won't be very good. Has anyone rented the sound system? We are not completely ruling out a DJ. The reason we are concerned with getting a DJ is because my fiance is very picky with music. 1. Has anyone used the DJ that the hotel offers? Thoughts? 2. We would like to avoid getting an outside DJ because of the vendor fee, but are open to any suggestions.

We visted Now Sapphire, Dream (Riviera Cancun), and Azul Sensatori. I have been to Oasis Resort (Cancun) and Iberostar Paraiso. Having stayed at bigger resorts, I knew I wanted a smaller more intamite resort for our wedding. Also, with the resorts we visited, I really liked that they were only 20-25 minutes from the airport. To head to Cancun or Playa (my favorite) there is a shopping trip shuttle that only charges $15 per person and you get to spend 4 hours there.

@lianee 1. Do you have any other comments about Now Sapphire? I really did like the resort. I guess if I had to pick out the best thing, it would be the staff. They were friendly, fun and very helpful. Because the Now Sapphire is not a huge sprawling resort, you see the same staff members everyday and really get to know them. There were two wedding when we were there. Both had a beach ceremony and their reception on the terrace. The first wedding was smaller. They had simple white linens and two long tables. I would guess maybe 20 - 25 guests. Their wedding looked very elegant. The second wedding I saw was much larger with multiple round tables. The bride decorated the tables and entire reception area. They had a DJ and tons of people were dancing. It looked like a lot of fun. 2. Food - We tried every restaurant there. Paramour (French) - I read that this was supposed to be the best restaurant. The plating was very pretty. The appetizer we had were really good. My fiance had the fish which was actually pretty good. I had ordered the steak, which was pretty awful. It had a weird gritty texture. I couldn't eat it. I did not return it or complain...I just ordered 2 desserts to make up for it. Lemongrass (Asian) - We sat in the habatchi side. It was pretty good. Probably our favorite restaurant. Cibu (Mediterranian) - It was ok. Nothing special. Fresco (Mexican) - My fiance had the fish tacos, which were pretty bland. I ordered a shrimp dish that was really good, but the next day I had a horrible stomach ache. Bluewater Grill - We ate there twice and it was bad both times. The burgers were ok, but something about the texture of the meat was not good. I also ordered a fish dish for lunch that came out cold. I let the waiter know. 10 minutes later they brought back the same plate. They had just stuck it in the oven (with all the other items one the plate including the cold side items) so everything was hot. The fish was very over cooked and slimy. Market Cafe - Great breakfast. Good buffet. By the end of the trip, we pretty much at here because there was always a fresh made-to-order station. I hope this helps. I really want to stress that the resort was great and the weddings there looked beautiful. My decision not to have it there was primarily that the other resort we looked at was more of what I had pictured in my head. Once we saw it, we knew that we could not have it anywhere else.
