  1. Question: How were you able to get nail clippers, creams (more than 3 ounces) or liquids (more than 3 ounces) on a plane out of the country anyhow?
  2. Even if they aren't happy, what makes them think that we WANT to hear it. You aren't coming, the show will continue, sorry if I didn't take a sec to shed a tear for you.
  3. I don't know how to do a bow, that's why I tried the ribbon rose. As you can see, that was a one time success. & I am afraid to put something in that corner that may knock of the balance because the sun pic. Maybe I am being a bit too critical *shrugs, I do that sometimes.
  4. Hi Reinita, Did you find the website with all the links to the free things? Literally you can get a lot of great things for FREE! My first package is due at the end of the week and it includes shirts....
  5. Well a week is easy, I think I have an entire month. I'm sure I'll find a place, even if I have to take it to work and hide it in the hall closet, LOL. The flowers I am envisioning are: Of course, my little trip to Michael's put a slight dent in the plans (actually I needed more adhesive to continue), so it was a needed trip. All my paper is cut, so I just need to put them together. Are you excited, you are getting so close? I don't know I am going to be in 2 weeks, I will officially be 30 days out. S C A R Y Everything will come together!!! No stress, no worries
  6. Hey ladies!!! So I am in Michael's (what else is new) and I started playing with their florals. With the inspiration of other brides who did their on bouquets with silk & real touch, I am determined to do my own also. My wedding colors our ivory & orange (all shades) with hints of charcoal and silver. So I put this together. What do you think? Please excuse the horrible feet, LOL. My gown is charcoal. The ladies have ivory gowns with orange sashes. The guys have ivory tux with orange vest & ties. My husband (the groom) has an ivory tux with charcoal tie & vest and my grandfather is in ivory with platinum vest and tie. First: What do you think about this bouquet, haven't put it together or purchased the flowers yet. Second: How should the bridesmaid's flowers be, I was thinking more orange, with hints of cream, no grey. Third: How should the bouts be for the gentlemen? All opinions welcomed!!!
  7. Thanks for the info. On my way to Michael's will stop at Target also!! WOoHOo
  8. Well I didn't make passports, I did the boarding passes instead. As well as made my monogram and other things and I am 100% all Photoshop. Some brides use Powerpoint, yet because of my profession, I am more comfortable manipulating and designing in Photoshop and I think it is quite easy to learn.
  9. Looking for that little extra spice. It may be just fine, yet I think that it is missing something. Since talking 'wedding' to my husband is a foreign language, figured I'd come to the one place where I know that there are many others who speak the same language, so here goes. I posted these invites possibly a week or so ago. I was able to print them all out and now I am in the cutting and gluing phases. Right now I am working on the post wedding lunch, before we leave the resort and it just doesn't have that spice. The first round, this is how they looked: I figured how to do the pretty little ribbon flower with a brad at the center that attached the two. Now, for some reason I just can't seem to recreate that little flower and at the same time, I just don't think it works well. So here is the invite without the embellishment: Sorry, it's sideways. Of course when I ask the 'other' he says it looks fine, yet it is missing that certain je nais se pas... HELP!!!!
  10. *Breathe* You have definitely have come to the right place. I get married November 12 and I had planned on doing the whitening thing with the Crest Whitestrips, they come highly recommended on this site. I was going to start that at the 30 day mark. As for your other things, is your resort booked? Is your date & time confirmed? Passports done or applied for? Not sure if you purchase your plane tickets this early (because I haven't yet, LOL)? Colors? Dress? Invitations already sent? Honeymoon decided on? Right now, I am working on some decor items, decided to do tissue poms. I decided to go with silk flowers, so I will be ordering those this week. Are you doing a civil or symbolic ceremony? If doing a symbolic, are you getting married before your DW or after? If so, are you changing your name, if so make sure your passport is updated. I am the least bit organized, yet I know where I am and what needs to be done. Feel free to ask the brides on this site, trust when I say they will put you at a world of ease, LOL
  11. (in my Scarlett O'Hara tone) My dear, I have no idea what you may be inferring I am so glad that you love your dress, I have yet to see mine, but I am anxious and excited about the creation. Someone is making my gown, someone I trust very much, so I know the gown will be more than I even expect it to be. I am supposed to get it sometime next week, it's going to be hell trying to hide it from my husband until November, yet I know I'll figure something out. I was able to pick up my shoes from the cobbler yesterday, they needed to be stretched a bit in the toe box. I am so excited, they fit perfectly now the best $12 a girl can spend, now I can wear my BLUE peep toe pumps all day!!!! Today I will finish my cutting and attaching of my invites and finish folding up my poms, then I will be done with those two projects. Then I will be ordering silk flowers to do my bouquets. I was in Micheal's yesterday, just playing around and I combined orange mums, cream open bud roses and a hydrangea bush & I must admit I was in love!!!! My camera is dead at the moment, so I'll be uploading pics in a few hours.
  12. There are 2 links on retailmenot for the $2 shirts. One has a success rate of 100%, make sure you are using that one. If you are trying to add the $2 shirts from retailmenot and the free stuff from the other site, that takes a little manipulating, but trust me it can be done. Do you free items first, then add your $2 shirt (or shirts if you order one regular tee and a ladies' tee), now go back to the website with the free links and click on anything free, no need to add it to your cart. This will turn all your free items in your cart back to free. Do the same with the shirts. Now you should have a cart full of free things and your $2 shirts. I hope that helps!
  13. If I knew it, I would, LOL ~ My husband just questioned me when I told him I only payed $2.
  14. Yea, so did I. I passed up my original plans of Moon Dance Villas in Negril Jamaica for 11-11-11, to change it to St. Augustine, Florida for 11-12-11 only to get back to my original feeling. I would have been better prepared because I started planning 2009 only to be doing things within 4 months, but IM HAPPY so it doesn't matter who and who doesn't come.
  15. Exactly my thoughts also. *SMH, family can be the most difficult (not mine) yet I maintain my stand and the can if they don't like it, it isn't about them!
  16. Smile & Toss, Smile & Toss - C'Mon Anna Mae do your part like we rehearsed, LOL Too cute (I have those lazy Saturdays too)
  17. YEP!!! Best advice : Ignore it and keep moving. Do what makes you happy, at the end of the day the only people who presents actually matters is yours and his. And those who WANT to come will, without the excuses
  18. Well hello DShane and Welcome!!!! I hope you find this website and the other ladies as helpful as I have. As for the website, I never did one. So I am not sure if it is something I thought was a big deal. I did do the STD, although those were sent out for a different location, actually St. Augustine, Florida, LOL. After that I sent out a letter informing everyone of the change and then invites to confirmed guest. So in my opinion, just keep everyone updated the most convenient way for you!
  19. It pays to be nice to the copy man, LOL. This I say because I went into Staples earlier to get a quote of how much it would cost to print out my event invites as well as my welcome letters, trying to compare the cost to me purchasing more ink. Earlier today, they were $1 a page. Which wasn't bad, because each page as 2 designs on them. So I would have came out with about $25, not terrible, about the cost of an XL HP ink cartridge. So I just came back from Staples, all my invites on ivory cardstock and my welcome letters on pearl and silver shiny paper (don't know the proper term) all for $2.30!!! Wow, does it pay to be nice!!!
  20. Through the link I sent you, yes you can either do the free t-shirts or pay. If you go to retailmenot.com, they have a link for $2.00 shirts with your order (of course only 1 of each type), that covers the uploading also and your shirts should be $2
  21. Me either. Husband just asked last night when all the things will be coming....This has got to be a crime to get all that stuff for free, LOL
