  1. My thread _ "I hit the VistaPrint Jackpot" has my excel sheet were I would have paid well over $800 for the things I ordered. End up only paying about $170, for shipping things. Tip: Place multiple orders within a decent time span. Pay for 7 day shipping on the first order, and slow shipping on the others. They will all come together! My fast delivery is scheduled for Friday, I will upload pictures then!!
  2. And how do I design my own. Do I just print out what I want and insert it? Is it something like that? If so, I will take 18 off your hands.
  3. Hello ladies, I am wondering has anyone been in contact with Jenny or Shirley lately. I have sent emails and I have gotten no responses, which is truly unlike either of the two. I would like to know if anyone else has had any success contacting the WC at the resort?
  4. Me also, I got one today for a free t-shirt, tote bag, and something else plus 80% off. Will use that tomorrow!
  5. No plane tickets: well the story behind that is, we were all supposed to be on the same flight, although I wanted to go down either a day earlier or even a few hours earlier. The entire reason we were supposed to be on one flight is because his brother & cousin have never flown. So to accommodate them (us with that DAYUM accommodating), we were all going to be on one flight. Yet considering the facts (on your other thread), there is no need for us to be on the same flight and I can go on doing what I had planned to do! So as of Saturday, I will be purchasing our tickets (maybe Wednesday, I think they are cheaper then) We are getting married at an all inclusive resort, our package includes my flowers and his. Too get bridesmaids bouquets (I have 3) they will be $75 a piece. I can make all of our flowers (silk) with $150 including corsages and bouts. Plus with silk flowers I can keep them forever, yet my mom told me today that I can indeed bring my flowers home from the islands on the plane with me. So I'll have both. As for centerpieces, same thing, the price doesn't justify it, when at most we will have only 4 tables. I don't mind and I have some really deal finding friends. As for programs, no they are not necessary, I am doing mind because like me, my guest like to collect things. So, I sent out invitations at the beginning of the month after all plane tickets were purchased, so they were unnecessary. I will be doing the fan programs and I have also made invitations for a "bridal" luncheon, a rehearsal dinner, "bachelor" party and a post wedding brunch. Things that are unnecessary but will be a good addition to anyone's scrap book or keepsakes. JMO
  6. Yes it is indeed and no one shed a tear when I couldn't do Jamaica, everyone was happy because Florida was easy and convenient for them (but not for me, we stay in Virginia). So through the entire process, everyone looked out for themselves and was so happy that I was having our wedding in Florida, LOL. People are ridiculous. At least your mom has applied for one, his brother or cousin have yet to and as of Saturday, October 1, they will be officially scratched off the guest list. I wish I could have stuck with my date, I switched back to a DW in June, so my date pickings were very slim. We are now going to Dominican Republic (a lot cheaper than Moon Dance Villas) and we will be getting married 11-12-11, although we will be there on the 10th. The bride that is getting married on the 12th, I already wished her bad vibes, LOL (no just joking!!!)
  7. Janet, Janet, Janet ~ your input is always right on point & I <3 it!!! You are right, the grey hydrangeas does give it that whimsical look, the cream and orange will be more realistic and since that is indeed my goal, my decision has been made!!! As for a guestbook, I saw another bride create an actual book with pictures of her & her beau and guest were able to write in it. Then another bride had the scrapbook with the note card & envelopes and encouraged each guest to write a little note. Yet I did create postcards on VistaPrint, so I was going to use those and then create my own book when we receive them. Considering it is only 14 guest coming ~ maybe I'll send some to the guest that can't come also so they can send well wishes (*idea). Yes, come November I don't want to concern myself with anything beyond packing, so I completely understand what you mean. So I am buckling down my decisions, so that I can get them all done, soon.
  8. Thank you ladies for your input. I am going to trim them down and round the corners and they would be as good as perfect. Working on my welcome letters now that I copied (stole, borrowed, mimicked, duplicated) from bride marichu77....I loved her welcome letter in the enclosed petal envelope.
  9. I love endless.com, they always seem to have the right shoes. Got my BMs shoes from their!
  10. Wow, thanks for the great find. As for your 'medical' things, I stumbled across shoplet.com, the prices seem to be pretty reasonable but of course I am always on the search for less!!
  11. Yes, I am starting to believe that my eyes are indeed just adding things that have no place. I am going to go with another bride's suggestion and just make all the borders the same and then there will be no need for anything extra.
  12. Like the other brides, I am sitting on the edge of my seat kicking my feet just patiently waiting. Kinda makes me want to buy a ticket to Jamaica, just so I can come back and say, "You should have been there to see this & that". I just know everything will be beautiful, from the decor, to your dress to those FABULOUS shoes!!! Sending with you good vibes and happy spirit. Wishing for a safe flight, a fun stay, and a safe return!!!
  13. If it makes you feel any better or comforts you come, our date is November 12th, we have no plane tickets (I plan to do that this weekend), I have yet to think about vows, we have not ordered (purchased or even looked for bands yet, LOL) I have not ordered my raffia fans, made my programs, or even ordered my flowers to do my bouquets. Yet for some odd reason, I am not freaking out!!! ~~~~I am laughing while I am typing this~~~~~~ As for our centerpieces for the table, stealing an idea from another bride, I will bring simple vases, find some of those gel rock thingies and have the bridesmaids bouquets serve as the flowers. I have made tissue poms to decorate the gazebo and possibly transfer them over to the reception. Beyond that I am extremely unprepared and not at all worried, which is SOOOO unlike me! Relax, as the day comes no one will care that you didn't add anything to their table, LOL
  14. So easy fix is if I get rid of the extra space, there may be no need for anything extra. Ha ha, by golly I think she has it, LOL But iwill still look at the youtube video, I WANT to learn how to do bows.
  15. I love the colors and I love the size. I know I want a BIG bouquet for myself. I just saw the grey hydrangeas and loved it....yet I may just stick with cream and orange for the bouquets, don't know. Gotten many different opinions. So, don't know where to go with it. Yet I will be ordering flowers this week to start my bouquets, so I will be posting many different arrangements as I figure out which way to go. If I take the grey out, then I most likely will not keep the layered look, blend the ivory with hints of orange. Then again, I really like the grey, idk. 26 days, I don't know how I will feel come October 10th, I am a bit nervous to think about it considering October is this Friday....I know I will be stressed, I can't handle the lack of help and I may kill my husband before then. Maybe I should take that line out, don't want it to come back and hunt me, LOL Must share your sketches, would love to see them!
  16. And what is indeed sad, I have multiple orders with time stamps after 1 a.m.
  17. Ours is opposite, majority of our guest are my friends and family, no one from his side. It was supposed to be his brother & cousin as his bestmen, yet as of today they have yet to apply for passports (no sweat from me, idc). Trust me when I say I believe you, we spent money on STD for our Florida wedding. We paid a deposit last August for the villas in Jamaica, lost that. Paid a deposit for the golf course in Florida, lost that
  18. Me too Joanne!!! If I would have stood my ground in the beginning I would have had the date, yet I have 11-12-11 so it isn't too much damage
  19. Thank you!!! I hold no water, what project would you like to know about?
  20. Yes we originally had a guest list of 135 people when I decided to accommodate others and have a stateside wedding. Now we have 16 people including myself and the groom. And I will continue to say, there are no regrets and no tears from this bride. (maybe I am just mean and selfish, yet I think this one day in my life I have the right to be!)
  21. I know the tweezers should never be an issue, yet the nail clippers are iffy. I would def pack those is a regular bag instead of carrying it on, just to avoid any issues.
