Don't quote me on this...I have heard rumors that people staying at the MC may be charged a day pass to the ME, but to go from the ME to MC is fine. I guess because the ME is higher priced, they don't want MC guests taking advantage of everything that they didn't pay for. But really, who's gonna know during the day if they are in the pool or on the beach....I would double check with the resort....

YWS2012... Thank you!! Now here's my new dilemma. I ordered a veil, just past my bum in length, little clear crystals all around the edge...the shop called me on Friday and it's been discontinued. Now I'm thinking that maybe a longer cathedral veil with small crystals throughout it might be nice because the back of my dress is so plain. Plus it might be nice in pictures if the wind catches it and makes it billow out behind me...Thoughts??

I was worried about ppl putting deposits down too, but our deadline is tomorrow and we've gone from 9 to 16 booked in 4 days, with people going tonight and tomorrow to bring us to 20. They will book, just probably at the last possible minute like our group....

If you read into the info where they are saying to send them what you want on the mugs, etc etc, there is actually a link that you can get a quote on duty. I think it works out to a max of $30 for the 50 mugs. Maybe even $20....I'm getting mine from here too...it's really not that bad...(I think it's just the 13% tax, but they ship UPS, be sure someone is home to get them...or they send it back after 3 tries...) On another note...where is everyone finding their bags for the OOT bags?? I can't find anything decent online...Or I do and they don't ship to Canada

Hi Ladies!!! I posted my dress before, but now it's here!!! Majorly needs alterations...way too big on the chest...it's not clipped or anything, but here it is!!!!! I can't wait for it to be altered!!! Got my veil too!!! You can see the train better in the mirror on the second picture....

I just want to let you all know, for those of you that are considering getting fans or parasols, anything personalized, or even the sand ceremony set, an awesome site is Weddingfavours.ca The best part is, they are CANADIAN!!!! They ship with CanadaPost, I had no real issues with them (1 parasol had a tear, called them, they sent me a new one next day, no cost to me). I got 60 fans, 11 parasols, personalized napkins, and it all shipped wonderfully. For those brides in the GTA or Windsor area, the store is located in Ingersoll, Ont and well worth the drive out. They have all kinds of favours and gifts for parents and bridal party. Plus then you can actually see what you are buying. They are super professional, and reasonably priced (seeing as you pay close to the same from the US, plus S&H, plus duty). Plus it's pretty quick if everything is in stock. Good Luck!!!

I usually get chewed by bugs no matter where I go. DR was the worst (go figure where I'm getting married ). Mexico wasn't too bad (mind you, it rained for 5 days because of Hurricane Ida...), Cuba by far was the best, only came home wih a handful of bites...

These are the exact same cups that I was looking at from a place in Mississauga!!! Except that they are way cheaper and there's no minimum order!!!! The place here was $4.49 each for 50, plus set-up fee, plus shipping!!! I can order 35 from your site!!! For anyone who's interested, the website I'm talking about is www.promopays.ca and they do everything custom. Bags (some really nice beach bags), T-shirts, Frisbees, cups, you name it!!!! And like I said, they are in Mississauga, and it's probably a whole lot easier to go in and see stuff for the GTA brides....

I managed to get two-packs of emery boards from michaels that are all shells or beach chairs for less than $1.50 each. I think I got 12 packs for maybe $15. They were in the last-minute deal bins.... I didn't think of checking out Dollarama. Definately need to go soon!!!!

Hi Jwed12!! I was having the same thoughts and reservations as you when I first bought my dress. Here's what I have found out. If your dress is a very chiffon-y, not silk or satin or (big) tulle dress, typically all of the salt and sand come out with a good dry-cleaning. I actually found a thread on here about trashing the dress and it not being ruined after. I was to the point I was looking for a second dress (just a white bridesmaid dress) to trash, then I ordered a second wedding dress, found that post and I'm going for it!!!! If I can find that thread again, I will try to post it here for you to read into. Good luck!!!

That dress is stunning!!!! Personally, I'm a fan of white. That being said, I'm olive skinned, I tan dark quickly, and we will be in Punta Cana for almost 4 days before the wedding. So white will be suiting me...if you are fair at all, or don't tan dark, then ivory is definitely the way to go. It's all personal preference too... Good luck!!!!

I think it'd be super pretty with the train...but it's beautiful without it too...Try calling whoever your bridal place recommends, and talk to them about it, see if it really is a possibility (then you won't get stuck paying the extra $$ for length and not being able to do what you want). I love the sash that runs off your shoulder!! In the wind that'd be gorgeous!!! Good luck!!!
