We used caribbean emotions and they were awesome!! One of the videos that they did for us is just above on this page... I can honestly say, you wouldn't be disappointed...

Lala32 - yes, you can take off your wristband, or I have seen people with it on their ankle... Smithk79 - its about 1.5-2lbs...

Here's what we brought down to the Jellyfish: -placecard buckets (pic in profile) -tiny starfish (were on napkins, menu cards, and table numbers. All of which Mayte made) -all of our candy -the glass pebbles (we got them cheap at Pier 1) -Our cake topper -green lanterns (Mayte had the white and turquoise already) The placecards, table numbers, and menu cards are included and Mayte will do them especially for you. We did our placecards on the little white buckets filled with jellybeans, because that's what we liked. It was just easier to do it at home. The big white starfish, Mayte had already. My biggest suggestion is that you should ask Mayte if she has your colours available in lanterns, sashes, tablecloths, etc. and if not, then you can get exactly what you want and bring it down to her. We left the majority of our stuff with Mayte, except for the keepsakes like the cake topper. She really appreciates being able to add to her selection because it is so difficult for her to get stuff. Also, find pictures of what you like and send them down. She will do her best to match what you send. That's how she did our cake and centrepieces. As for ceremony decorations, I don't know. We kept the dance floor inside and there was tons of space. It did get really warm though. Mayte had a second dance space and bar set up outside so that we could move out there if we chose to. So we did have the options available to us. We didn't do fuschia with the lime, but we did turquoise with lime. My pictures are in here somewhere or in my profile if you want to check them out for any ideas...

Smithk79 - We had 33 people, including us. LindsayOO - They were no extra charge. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a top that Mayte puts on the square tables...we even made our head table rectangular (put square tables together) so we could all see everyone...

I have seen smaller tables in the JF, but we used round tables instead if square for our guests, so the snaller numbers (6 or 7/ table) wouldn't seem so obvious. The wicker chairs are the actual restaurant chairs, so those are included, but I believe the sashes would be in the decor price (we had the wicker chairs with turquoise and lime sashes, super comfy and gorgeous).

We got the schedule for all of the activities from thr PR department. You can get the email from your coordinator.

I'm not sure who you are refering to, but if its me, we used the resort sashes...sorry!!

We were working with our coordinator at the Majestic Elegance (our ceremony was there), but I did pre-arrange our welcome dinner, hair and make-up appointments and trials, and even a golf day for some of the men in our group (that was through PR dept...) Give it a shot, the worst they can say to you is no...

I wanted turquoise but this was the closest they had. It is actually Aqua. Called aqua1. The turquoise was really dark...

I believe you would also need your baptismal certificate and proof of your marriage classes for the religious ceremony...

I was crreeping other weddings too...i admit it!! I got an email back from the Dominican consulate in Toronto, and they said that we just have to photocopy the certificate, front and back, and mail it in with a $40 money order and a return envelope (addressed and stamped). No legalisation is needed because it is recognized here. Then it just gets attached to the spanish one and then there will be no weird looks from service ontario staff....lol Hopefully you get your certificate soon!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

I saw your post in the ME brides page, but I figured I will answer here...I would call priceline and double-check that the package that people are booking is an All-inclusive package...I would venture to say that it probably is, but its always better to know for sure. I think you can then criss-reference the reservations so everyone is recognized as a part of the group...make sense??

Thanks Norma!! I actually think we saw you and your Mr!! We did get our certificate about 2 weeks ago. I'm just trying now to figure out how I need to translate it...do we go back to the consulate?? Congrats on your wedding!!

I love Michael and Pascal from Cairbbean Emotions. We used them in May for our wedding at the ME and Jellyfish, and we have absolutely no complaints. The prices are really decent and the quality of work is amazing. I did write a review on them on here. You can also go onto youtube and if you search Caitlin Joseph May 9, 2012 you should find sone of what they did for us. You won't regret if you book them.

I'm sure Mayte can do tables of 4, because they do have them in the restaurant. We had tables of six, seven, and eight people. We did go with round taboes though, that way the odd numbered tables wouldn't look as awkward...

We had a candy table too. I can't remember having scoops though...Mayte has tons of containers though, we did, however, bring resealable bags so people could take candy with them when we left. Fondant is a way better choice for the hot climate. Butter cream can actually turn or melt. Its still a dairy product. Mayte will bring the cake out during dinner, so it doesn't sit too long. Mayte has tons of colours, my advice is just ask her. Chances are that she will have it...she had everything in my turquoise and apple green. I only brought down 9 paper lanterns, which I left with Mayte to use for other brides...

I made all of my appointments with our coordinator, and then just went to the spa to double-check once we got there...I took my pictures down, no problems. The ladies were really good...not to worry at all. I was super specific with how I wanted my hair, so I made a trial appointment. Saved me so much worrying and grief!!
