I have a family who looooves to travel, but I do occasionally get the annoying comment of "you're making us spend all this money"....which makes me freak out very quickly and loudly, so they know not to go there again People just don't understand that it's OK for them not to come instead of coming and giving us the guilt trip of our lives (pun intended). I bet most brides in this forum go through exactly the same situation. My FI is from Canada, I'm from Brazil but currently living in the UK...so there is zero chance of pleasing everyone. We made a point to choose Mexico as it was equally (almost) far away for everybody. I can anticipate it's going to get a little tougher as it gets close to the wedding (no one has booked yet), but whatever.... they're not the ones getting married at the end of the day! Bottom line it.... it WILL be worth it because you choose it so.
