Hmmm, I wonder if that's the reason I haven't heard from her either. I emailed her all excited to tell her we booked it. I wonder what's going on there, why so many WC changes.

Oh how long ago did you get this quote from N? I will have to ask her and double check. I like that price a lot better than the one I had in my head. I'm pretty sure that other price is what I was quoted from N last year when I was looking into ERC. But things could have changed.

Hello ladies! Thank you for responding to me a few days ago. We finally booked our two weeks wedding/honeymoon! I emailed N, and now I'm just waiting to hear back from her, and get lots of questions answered. Like some of you, I have been to EPM and ERC! And I loved them both! And I would do EPM even with slow responses. It's not only gorgeous place but my fiance proposed to me on that beach, not far from where we are going to have our ceremony! EPM will always be a special place for us. I know what to expect over there, and I'm super excited. If any of you would like to see more pictures of this resort, let me know. I have them on my fb. What is everyone doing for music? Is there ipod dock/speakers? I'm not sure if we can justify a DJ, since I think he runs $1,200? I can't wait to see everyone's pictures!

Thanks Sharon! I only had that one question this time around, I had emailed her last week with bunch of questions and she got back to me in 3 days. So that was good. And I have looked over these posts about photographer fee and pretty much know what the answer will be, but need that in writing, since it seems to change often. I would like to book a photographer soon, and need to know if they are able to shoot weddings there still.

I'm also getting very inpatient with Nayeli slow email response. I emailed her on Monday and it's now Thursday. I asked a simple question about outside photography free, so I know before I book a photographer. But no response. Sigh. I am nervous about booking my wedding until I hear from her. Is she usually this slow? Or are there a lot of weddings going on at EPM right now?

I can check when I get home for you by looking at our pictures. We stayed at EPM from Saturday through following Sunday in 2010. But to be sure I would email the resort and check with them for schedule, because when we went to ERC in 2011, only MJ show was still on schedule, the rest of the shows were different. I wonder if they change them every year?

I have been to EPM and ERC in the last two years and they both had Michael Jackson show. I'm pretty sure Michael Jackson show at EPM is on Thursday which is also when my wedding day is, and if I remember correctly the MJ show starts at 10pm. And I think Alegra opens after 11pm. I'm also thinking about going to see Michael Jackson show with my guests, and then go to Alegra for some dancing. Not sure if it's worth having a DJ if our guest list is under 10-15. What's everyone thinking? Also I checked about bringing a photographer as a guest, and cordinator told me that the guest would have to stay two nights minimum at the hotel. But the thing is most of my guests will take pictures of our wedding, why does it matter how many nights they stay?

We are also very interested in booking him for our wedding this fall. Love his style, and looks like he's very passionate about his work.

Hello ladies! I am new here and we have decided to get married at EPM later this year. I love this resort, and can't wait to visit again. I do have a question for you guys, who are you using for your wedding photography? It has come to my attention that EPM has changed their photography vender policies in the past year, or is that only true for few vendor photographers? Any help or advice I would appreciate it.

Loreli, I'm sorry we share same frustration with ERC. I had emailed Nayelli and told her my honest opinion about BlueLensCaribe, and asked if only certain outside vendors are banned. And last night I got an email from her, and she said it's best to check with her first before booking any outside vendors, and that not all vendors are banned. She also said that vendors fee is $150, and it does not include a meal. That is really frustrating me because I want to be able to give my photographer at least a meal during my wedding. Also the photography team I love is Del Sol, and they are not going to do anymore weddings there, and also they are banned/not allowed to shoot weddings with Excellence. But yeah that is really strange about them pushing a photographer who only has a few pictures of Excellence Playa Mujeres, and having website issues to ERC brides. When I was at ERC this past May, we talked to a guy named Peter with VIP photography (photographers on the resort), and we set up for him to take our engagement pictures. We had a lot of fun with him, and he put us at ease. The pictures turned out really nicely, and we spent quite a lot on them. He also told us that he was leaving the country soon and so it's not like I can ask him to take our wedding pictures. But VIP was the only photography on site at ERC, at least when we went. But VIP photographers take all sorts of photos, for all kinds of events, and I didn't get a feel that they do a lot of weddings. And because photography is so important to me, I would want someone who does wedding photography to do my wedding. I'm still debating on what to do. Glad I didn't spend money or lose money like some have. And it's hard to trust a resort that can change rules at any moment, and all you have is email correspondance.

Thanks Diego! I would not mind paying a vendor fee of $150 which I believe used to be the price to bring a vendor in. I wouldn't even mind bringing a photographer of my choice as a guest to my wedding. But I don't think they allow either one anymore. Still waiting to hear back, hopefully with a clear answer.

I'm having this issue right now with a resort in the Maya Riviera. I am waiting to hear back from WC to see if all outside vendors are not allowed, as they were before! We spent two vacations with them, at two different resorts, and saw bunch of weddings with outside photographers, as recent as this past May! So this sudden change is really frustrating, and I do not think we will get married there anymore. Photography is very important to us, and that will be the deal breaker!

Have you ladies gotten the approval to bring outside photographer vendor in? I have not, and Nayeli keeps telling me that I should use www.bluelenscaribe.com. I am sorry but I do not like the quality of those photos, and I do not see any Excellence Riviera Cancun or Playa Mujeres pictures that they have shot, as I have been to both resorts so it would be easy to spot them. I have emailed Nayeli, and asked her if all outside vendors are banned. And I am really upset about this, as I do not want to be forced to use their approved photographer. Also I read on TripAdvisor, that one couple who is getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres was allowed to bring a photographer, and now that they are talking about details for their October wedding, they were told they cannot bring outside photographer, and they were going to lose a deposit on that, but somehow they worked it out that they were granted an exception.

Congratulations everyone! I am also planning a wedding at ERC, and there seems to be recent development about bans on outside photography vendors and not allowing them to shoot weddings anymore at Excellence Resorts. Have any of you heard about this? I was told by ERC wedding coordinator that some vendors are banned/not allowed, and when I contacted a photographer who has done many weddings at ERC, I was warned about this new development. I'm waiting to hear back from the resort, if there is a list of banned photographers, and the reason behind that. I really do not want to have a choice of one or two photographers that they approve of. I have been to ERC and EPM on vacation, and loved it.
