Oh my god! There must have been some red flags before this wedding date, something is just not right. But it's confirmed he did leave the country and someone knows exactly where he is? I would be worried about kidnapping. One has to consider all the possibilities.

That's what I was thinking too MsBlissMpls. I'll hang stuff myself, and decorate centerpiece myself if I need to. Some of these prices are little outrageous.

Yeah that's sad. I wonder why he waited until wedding day to walk away. Usually people don't wake up on wedding day and have a crazy thought, but who knows. That really sucks for the bride and the guests.

A groom didn't show up at the altar? What?!!! Was he drunk and passed out somewhere? Or he just didn't want to get married? Yikes!!! But I guess it's better to walk away than be in miserable relationship. That's expensive table decoration that didn't even work. Yeah I would be upset too. So weird how the wind was that strong even away from beach. How far was the beach from your reception, and at what time was your reception? I have been to EPM in May two years ago, and it was extremely windy one day out of 9 days, so I guess it comes and goes. Crappy wind!

Haha that's so funny about moving wedding location for hair! Hey I might do that too, so tough since we have our heart set on sand! lol My gecko was behind the bed frame, and my fiance at the time was not feeling well so he was sleeping, and I was making a bed by the couch, the heck I was gonna sleep in the same bed! LOL So finally I called the maintenance and the guy actually had to move the bed frame, to get him. I didn't realize it was a baby gecko. I was imagining a big lizard. =D Wow 35 rooms booked? That's amazing! We are probably going to have 5-10 rooms booked, but I didn't want to chance it. We might downgrade or upgrade once we get there, we'll see. A complimentary upgrade would be amazing. Oh and I might be looking for Iciz's "brochure" room too!

And I will miss my kitty too. We are going to be gone for 2 weeks, and most of our really close family and friends will come stay about a week, so she'll most likely be all alone for a week if not more. I'm thinking about asking my neighbor to check on her during that time. Going to miss her a lot!!!!

Don't be sad! We stayed at ERC last year and our room key access had so many problems, that they upgraded us to a swim up room the next day. We really liked it, and didn't feel like we didn't have privacy unless you leave the windows open all the way. We would do swim up again for sure! The only thing is we had a critter in our room the first night, a little gecko. I was scared of it, and had maintenance guy come and get him. He said oh my it's a baby lol. Don't worry about swim up, we actually really liked it this last time.

Iciz- Oh my you were one super gorgeous bride!!! Love your dress and your hair and make up! So beautiful! Thank you for coming back and sharing your wedding day with us, and answering all the questions. You've put me at ease, even though I have been to that resort before, and loved it, glad to hear a wedding was beautiful, even with few kinks. I didn't know guests can choose beef, chicken, seafood. That's great! I've been worried about food selection since I am picky, and some of my guests too. Did you have a DJ? I've been waiting to hear back from N for the past 8 days about menu and music options, hope to hear from her soon but I will be patient since a lot of weddings are happening right now. We booked Excellence Club Ocean Front Jr Suite, and hoping to stay in either 8 or 9 closest to the ocean. We have stayed at EPM in 2010, in 8203 and LOVED that room, it was non club! If we didn't get first wedding package free with club, we would have done non club but then again It's also our wedding and little extra perks would be nice. But if we were to get upgraded to RTT now that would be even better! Bummer about the wind. The day my fiance proposed it was super windy, one of the windiest days when we stayed there before. It sucks I really wanted to wear my hair down, or half up and half down, but we are planning on beach ceremony unless the wind is outrageous in September, then we might do the wedding gazebo. Decisions, decisions! How exciting! congratulations again Mrs!!!!

Actually it's 8 days, I'm losing my mind and can't count right. Last week was a nightmare, our flights were cancelled, and had to rebook with another airline.

I've been waiting 11 days to hear from N. And I am getting somewhat frustrated with the waiting period as well. But my wedding is not in less than two weeks. Still, they need to hire more people if it's that crazy busy.

Breathe and stay positive, everything will work out and you have what it matters the most! =)

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that MsBlissMpls. I hope you hear from her tonight! I keep checking my phone to see if she wrote me, but I have a lot more time than you. What was this about if you don't mind me asking? When do you leave for EPM?

Last week was a complete nightmare! We got an email saying United cancelled our flights in both directions and had no direct flights. I spent 5 hours on the phone with Travelocity and United, trying to fix this problem. In the end, we had to cancel the whole thing and get a refund. Luckily we got most of our refund back, still waiting for United to send theirs in a few days/weeks. So we went ahead and booked again, this time leaving from a different airport, and this particular airline has 2 direct flights going and coming back, so we feel pretty confident this will all work out. I had emailed N on Tuesday with lots of questions, and then I had to email her on Thursday with the horrible news about having to rebook. And I'm glad to say I emailed her this morning telling her we rebooked everything. What a nightmare I tell you! I can't wait to hear back from N! Oh and I ordered my dress last weekend! Can't wait to get it this summer. Good luck to all the other brides!

Since I'm pretty new, I have TONS of questions! Where did you guys order your invitations from? I would love to maybe do airplane ticket kind of invitation, but the one I saw on paperdivas can look better. And are you guys doing beach ceremony? Any September brides? I would love to have my hair down or half up half down, but not sure about the wind. By the way I love all the poems! What a great idea.

Congratulations Iciz! I can't wait to hear about your wedding and see your pictures! I have been doing little bit of planning, and so far I have bought a dress! It will be here in July, and I can't wait. Next is photography. I need to figure out how many hours I need, and email N about food choices. I'm picky when it comes to food, and need to find out if I can change the menu around a little.

I'm going through the same thing! It's very frustrating. People who were cheering me on to have a destination are now backing out, and making the lamest excuses. From the beginning my fiance and I said we would go and not expect anyone, and whoever came would be a bonus. It's hard not to feel disappointed though. Their loss right?

I heard back from resort, and got my wedding confirmation!! Woot woot! I also got lots of pdf's and it's overwhelming. One in particular is food options. How flexible are they on tweaking those? I'm fairly picky with food, and don't like everything to be super fancy. And since we are going with silver package, if we were interested in going with gold's dinner options is that possible? I assume there is a price difference of course, which is fine, as long as it's reasonable.

I love those flip flops LauraR597! Where did you get them? And were they expensive? I'm currently running out of patience waiting to hear back from N or whoever took over. It's been 5 days, and I know they are on vacation time, but it would make me feel better if I heard back since we booked our trip and would like to look into ordering invitations. I feel like I'm gonna be rushing to get things done for September.

Thanks ladies!! We are 6 months out and we have let pretty much everyone know the details and the hotel information. And as soon as I get a wedding confirmation from N I will start working on the invitations. I emailed her earlier this week after we officially booked our trip, and can't wait to hear back from her! I'm trying to keep busy so I don't keep checking my email or phone constantly.
