Can some of you share your timeline? I'm not sure how long I need to book our photographer for. Our ceremony is at 5:00pm. How long do hair and make up appointments go for? Are they all done at the SPA? -
I so feel your pain ladies. All the friends who were so excited and wanted me to have a destination wedding are coming up with all sorts of excuses as to why they cannot come. In the end we will have our parents, and most of our siblings with us, and few long time friends flying from Europe, and that's all that really matters. Those who come will have an amazing time I'm sure. We picked the best resort I think, and can't wait to be there already!

I agree. I've been to EPM and ERC, and most night entertainment ends by 11pm, and Allegra disco bar opens then, but I have not checked it out. This resort is definitely more on the quiet side. If you want to go out to a club, I would recommend going to Cancun area. When is your wedding?

Thanks Sharon99! I would love to bring my own ceremony decorations, like sashes and I'm glad to hear WC will set it up. What about paper lanterns for reception did anyone ask? I think someone mentioned it costs $5 for each paper lantern to be set up.

Also has anyone hired their videographer? Or plan to? I'm thinking about it, maybe the first hour, mainly for the ceremony. I have HD camera, and tripod so we can set it up but I'm sure they would do a better job and are used to the wind.

Thanks for sharing what was discussed. But as far as I know the white chair covers are included in the setup at no addition cost, no matter what package you have. It's mentioned in the Wedding packages general information document. Can someone also confirm this who is not using the Gold package?

October bride, when do you plan to start working on menu and stuff? I think I'm gonna tackle that first, it's so hard to begin making decisions. Isn't it?

Yeah I noticed that too! But I also think they are just gonna refer you to N's email address to address the issue. But I'm sure if there are enough brides complaining in tactful manner, they will do something about lack of communication. I emailed N on Monday, and heard from her Monday night, after waiting 2 weeks, and 3 emails sent to her. It was kind of urgent to hear back from her, since we had some issues with our reservations. But all is good now, and I will email her in couple of weeks, hopefully after all April brides are happily married!

Iciz you are such a beauty!!! I love the photos you shared, and they don't look cheesy! We took some engagement pictures last year at ERC, and they cost $840, but the in house photog got it cut down in half, and we ended up paying for them. Now I feel cheated because we were easy sell. We got 42 pictures for $420!!! Man we suck! lol

Ahhh gotcha! I need to learn to read better! lol That's good to know that the flowers can be moved to the reception. We might go with that option too, instead of simple wood/draperies. Not sure yet.

Hmmm I thought I read bamboo arch with draperies is $200, but then I got the gazebo price list later with $400+, but those include some type of flowers. Does anyone know if Bamboo arch with draperies is same as simple gazebo on the beach? Bamboo arch with draperies $ 200

That's very good to hear. Thank you for sharing your info. I initially saw the birth certificate translation fee in the first email attachment I got from N. So I was kind of skeptic. I will be changing my name too, and it seemed like a lot of hassle. Glad to hear that's probably not the case anymore.

We are on the fence with this. Thanks for providing all that info. So the ceremony will be read in spanish, and then english by two different people? What about time frame to get a certificate back from the courthouse? And what about translating the birth certificates? I am not able to open your attachment to read it. Honestly, have I not been at EPM or ERC before, I would be freaking out right now. Excellence is better than that, and they need to get it together. Weddings are huge deal to us brides, and we are paying them a good amount of money to help us have a great day. I have no doubt my day will be special, and realize things are probably not going to go exactly as planned, but having a realiable WC is important, specially when one is planning a destination wedding.

I can't believe they threw your top cake tier away! Did they at least apologize? Should I ask for any left over cake be brought to my room? That's really not nice of them, specially if you asked them to keep it.
