  1. Hi ladies!!! I'm back and MARRIED!! I will write a long review this weekend. Been so busy since coming back. But I have to say the wedding was amazing! I will leave you with a picture! More to come soon!
  2. Glad to hear things are going well with planning. It's a great feeling when you are not rushing. I did have to pay rush shipping for my menu and cocktail cards, from vistaprint this weekend, but I think that was the last of ordering stuff online. I can't wait for the wedding day, and to share my pictures with you! And I will try to write you guys from EPM. I hope the weather is gorgeous.
  3. Haha I have most things done, but I am starting to panic! We wrote a list of everything we need to do before we leave, and what we need to take down with us. And it seems like a lot of things left to do. We got the bags out of storage, and they are ready to be packed. I have to say time really sneaks up on you! How's your planning lady?
  4. We are flying with AirTran in a few days, and I was told that most AirTran planes do not have a hanging closet. And that they won't confirm the actual plane until the day off the flight. So weird! I talked to a girlfriend of mine who did destination wedding and she wrapped her dress sort of like a burrito, in special plastic bag and put it inside a duffle bag and carried it. Once at the destination, she took it out, put it in the bridal bag, and let it hang. She said she had no wrinkles. I am thinking about doing this, as it will be much easier to travel with. I was really nerveous at first when I heard this, but she showed me a video of how she did it, and it made me feel better. What also makes me feel better is the resort will steam it for me if need be.
  5. I seriously cannot believe I am leaving for my wedding at EPM in less than 6 days!!!
  6. Very nice! Did you get them done at EPM? I heard back from spa and they do not do shellac manicure, but they do regular french manicure. So I am leaning toward doing regular french manicure and pedicure the morning of the wedding.
  7. Thanks everyone! I did hear from her later that day. She answered my must have answer now question, and said she would get back to me half hour later with the rest. And she did get back to me later. All is good again! And very good tip Danak71! I have been using that, but it doesn't always work. I would love to do my nails at the Spa, but I don't know what I should do. I've heard many good things and bad things about acrylics/and shellac/gels. I would love to hear from past brides that have done their nails at the spa, and what their experience was like. I know I can be careful with my nails for a week before the wedding if I were to get them done home, but I know chlorine and salty water is not good for nailpolish. I emailed spa to ask them if they do shellac, thinking I could do them on the day of the wedding, that way at least they will look good that one day.
  8. I have been getting a really really slow response from the coordinator. I assumed this was okay months away from the wedding, but two weeks away and still slow response? I'm really disappointed! The minister and the spa response time is great! And I was wondering has anyone done their nails at the spa? I don't know if I should do it few days before I leave or on the day of. Hmmmm.
  9. Can anyone share their wedding timeline? I'm not sure how much time to leave for hair and makeup at the Spa.
  10. Thank you May12! It's a tough choice, and wind can really suck. I haven't gotten a veil yet, but next week when I go to pick up my dress, I might try on some, and see how I feel about it. I probably will forgo a veil, since I have a really nice flower clip.
  11. For the past brides who had a beach ceremony, did you wear a veil? I am debating and I'm so not sure. The wind is my biggest factor.
  12. We are definitley trashing the dress! When I tell people, they look at me in horror! I laugh it off, and tell them it's going to be a ton of fun! Then I ask them where their wedding dress is, oh it's stored in a closet for some 30 years, collecting dust. Yeah okay!
  13. This is my problem too. I'm considering a low to medium wedge, and walk really really slow! lol But I would hope to be able to go barefoot still if I decide to. I definitely need a hem either way.
  14. Ohh those are really cute! Lucky bridesmaid! I wish I was naturally tall! lol
  15. Thanks for that tip. Yeah I think I'm gonna get some wedge heels about 3 inches, and hem the dress to that height, that way if I go barefoot I can still do it. The alteration guys told me I still needed a hem while wearing 4 inche heels. Do you know what Steve Madden T-Strap sandal your bridesmaids is going to wear? I saw these on Nordstrom. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/franco-sarto-olympia-espadrille-sandal/3305907?origin=category&fashionColor=&resultback=1570
  16. I wish your wedding was before me, so you could tell me how it goes.
  17. I'm worried about this also. I'm 5'2, and my petite dress is still too long for me to go barefoot. If I hem enough, I might not be able to wear a heel. How did you ladies do with the flip flops on the beach? I know it's hard to walk in a flip flop on the beach. Was wedge easier to walk in?
  18. Beach ceremony brides, what are you ladies thinking about shoes? Are you going barefoot? I was thinking about that, but I am very short, so I would need to hem my petite dress (which is already short-yep that short!). I think I could get away with a wedge heel on the beach, but not sure. I definitely want to be able to wear 3 inch heel for reception but not sure if I woudl be tripping over it on the beach. HELP!
  19. Oh that's very good to hear! I will make sure that's requested ahead of time.
