Hi Ladies, I highly recommend checking out this shop on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AnnsCrafts?ref=seller_info for beautiful affordable jewelry. I ordered this necklace, asked for a couple changes (instead of flower, wanted the fireball crystal like the earrings) and only paid $35! http://www.etsy.com/transaction/71538239 Here are the earrings which were $25: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/71538238

Hello Ladies - I need your opinion. My bridesmaids and I (7 total) have appointments at the Royal's spa to get our hair and make-up done for the wedding. I've been emailing back and forth with a vendor who would come to our room and do our hair & makeup. His prices are the same as the resort, but I would need to pay the day pass or vendor fee to get him on site. Should I just keep the spa appointments or is it worth it to have someone prep you in the room where you can order drinks, etc? The vendor's website is here: http://www.yucatanhair.com/. I've also heard the Resort's spa doesn't always do the best job Let me know. Thanks!

I was just assigned Lili Levet as my onsite coordinator. Anyone else have her? Let me know your thoughts. For the person who asked about Claudy, I had her before she went on maturnity leave. I felt like it took her a long time to respond (although that's common as you'll read). Also, at first I was really anxious and didn't know how any of it would work. I was constantly checking this thread and my emails. I've definitely calmed down over the months. Ana's been my wedding specialist for the past couple months. She responds fairly quickly, but sometimes there's a lag. But it doesn't bother me much anymore Less than 1 month!! I can't believe it.

Hello Ladies! I can't believe its almost April! The time has flown by. I was debating about hiring a wedding videographer and when I finally made up my mine, the vendor I wanted to use was already booked. None of the other vendors even compared.... until I came across LoveStruck. They are a Californian film company who will travel and stay at the resort. Their fee includes all their travel costs, so its just one price to pay. I'm getting married on Friday, May 11, 2012 and I was wondering if there was a bride here getting married May 10, 12 or 13th who is also looking for a videographer. They are out of my budget, but I really want to have one! They have quoted me $4800 to film my wedding and are willing to work out a group rate. Please let me know. Also, they said if they're at the resort longer they can film things like welcome dinners, trash the dress sessions, etc. Check them out here: www.lovestruckfilms.com Cinematic Main Feature: http://vimeo.com/26487815 Trailer from that Feature: http://vimeo.com/26487253 Brides - Were you happy if you paid for video? If you didn't, do you regret not doing it?

I just ordered my cake topper from Etsy too! The total cost was $135, but I do have 3 animals in it Here's a link to the seller: http://www.etsy.com/shop/clayinaround She requires a $30 deposit upfront then the rest before she ships.

Added me below! Does the resort have a standard table centerpiece that's no additional charge? I was thinking of just getting vases and having one of my bridesmaid's bouquets on each table, with my bouquet by us. Any ideas on if that would look ok? I'm at my max budget and trying not to spend more! The girls will be carrying yellow gerber daisies. I'm using Marvin for the flowers.

So pretty! I like the bottom of the knock off dress more than the original. The flower looks really pretty too. You can ask them about the belt and have them fix it. Or you could ask them to remove the belt all together and you could shop online or at bridal stores to find a belt you really love. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I want to buy maracas to have at the reception. Do you recommend buying them now or shopping for them when we get to Mexico? We arrive 3 days early, but I want to relax. Although, I also don't want to haul a bunch of stuff with us if its going to be a pain. This place seems reasonably priced http://www.amols.com/catalog/view?s=&ss=Maracas%2C

Hi Steph, I asked about a rehersal and they said they don't do that. How did you get them to block time? I want to tell the wedding party in advance what time to do the rehersal because everyone is coming in on different days and some of them are staying outside the resort. Any advice is welcomed! Thanks, Erin

I kept asking my wedding coordinator about allowing the guests to choose between two entrees... she worded it that she could ask for the exception but that they would need to know exactly how many of each entree ahead of time. Keep asking your wedding coordinator. My original one wasn't that responsive, but when she left on maternity leave, I was given Ana and she's been pretty great. She responds timely and tries to answer all my questions. If you want to give your quests an option, keep requesting the Royal to make that happen - they can do it!

Thanks Cateyedcutie Ladies - I need your help. Now that I've found the dress, I'm trying to find the jewelry. I've found a few I really like: 1. http://www.newandblue.com/proddetail.php?prod=31431&cat=63 2. http://www.etsy.com/listing/52919909/wedding-jewelry-fallon-crystal-flower 3. I think I like the necklace from #2, but the drop shown here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/69095410/carly-bridal-pearl-and-crystal-wedding 4. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-130187111425031_2170_8758841 (from this website: http://misunbridal.com/rjewelry.html ) 5. http://www.swarovski.com/Web_CA/en/1035228/product/Lunar_Moonlight_Necklace.html?CatalogCategoryName=0108 6. http://www.etsy.com/listing/58353773/swarovski-rhinestones-necklace-and Okay I need to stop there - I'm way too indecisive. Sorry for just posting links, but every time I post more than one picture, my post never comes through!

Hi Ladies, If you look back at my posts you'll see the knock-off dress I bought from babyonline. Although the lace work was beautiful, it was way too big. My amazing seamstress took in the dress and shortened it, but still something wasn't right. I went shopping today and fell in love with a Mori Lee dress. The best part is the price. I just purchased the below dress for $700. Mori Lee dresses come in three different lengths and because of the corset back, the salon doesn't think I'll need any alterations. For my babyonline dress I paid $185 and then $300 for alterations. Good luck to everyone buying knock-offs. It is a great deal if you find the right seller. I'm still super happy because the price of my first dress and my ultimate find is still less than if I bought the first dress from a salon in the US.

So Kelly, Are you having your wedding at the Royal and then the reception at Wicky's? I'm thinking that looks pretty good... especially since my wedding is at 6:00 and they want to start the reception at 6:30. I asked if it could be at 7, so we'd have time to take pictures, etc, but of course, no time allowed in between. Have you heard any reviews of their food? My other issue, is that we have several guests staying at other hotels, for price reasons. I don't want them to get stuck paying fees. Thanks for the heads up!

Hi Everyone, I want to have a good bye brunch with all my guests (approx 40). I thought we'd just show up at a restaurant and sit wherever (I'm assuming there may only be 15-20 guests who actually come to the breakfast). We're staying at the Royal, but since some aunts and cousins are at the Gran Porto, I was thinking we should have breakfast there. Can anyone recommend a restaurant and a time of the morning that may be best? It will most likely be a Sunday morning. Thanks!

I also asked about Sky Lanterns and was received the following response: Real Resorts is proud to be committed to the environment, we have great respect for our planet, so it is not allowed to throw artificial petals, rice, balloons, confetti. Thanks for your comprehension. I asked about the completely biodegradable ones, but was finally told the resort does not permit them. It's a bummer, but my guests didn't know I was planning on doing it, so they won't be missed. I am going to do either the mariachi band or cigar roller to spice things up a bit. Chin up. It is frustrating to realize they are not as accommodating as we initially thought, but our weddings will be beautiful and every one of our guests will be jealous they didn't think of a destination wedding Quote: Originally Posted by Labebita911 so now im upset!!!.. Hi Ladies, I purchased these earrings for my bridesmaids, but have decided the color is too orange for my wedding (I was hoping they would be more yellow). The earrings are beautiful and really sparkle in the light! They are a light orange color in the light. I plan to return them to the store, but since Ross-Simons is sold out of these earring, I thought I would post to see if anyone here wants them first. The original price was almost $200 and I bought them on sale for $67. I will sell them for what I paid plus shipping (otherwise they're being returned). I have six total and am willing to sell them together or individually. They each have their own gift box and then the earrings are inside a brown pouch - perfect for gifting! Let me know if you have any questions. 3.00 ct. t.w. Citrine and Diamond Accent Flower Drop Earrings In Sterling Silver Item#: 663184 Quantity: 6 Price: $63.75 Subtotal: $382.50 Shipping: FREE Tax: $19.13 Order Total: $401.63

I contacted DJ Ivan's company, Dorremixx (not sure on spelling), directly and said I was booking them for my wedding at the royal and that I wanted to request Ivan specically. The person there said they didn't have anything from the Royal for my wedding, so I went back and forth with my Royal coordinator until the person said she received the Royal's request and then she booked Ivan for it. I'm on my mobile phone today, so I don't have the email address on me, but you should be able to find it via google (its on Dorrmixx's website)

Hi everyone, I just posted this on the coupon forum, but since this is the forum I read most often, I thought I would post it here too: I found a great deal on a pair of earrings, that I really couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere else... my colors are turquoise and yellow and the girls are wearing blue dresses. I got these earrings for them to wear http://www.ross-simons.com/products/663184.html I really don't like the look of gold and that's what I was finding for "yellow flower earrings". Wonderful price with the extra 25% off. They have other colors too if you don't like yellow. Hope this helps someone.
