Coconoir - LOVING your boarding pass xmas presents!! I didn't realize your recipients were older than 10 as well - LOL! They turned out awesome. Today, I finished our Thanks for Booking & Info boarding pass design + Luggage Tags. We weren't going to do this because of cost, but now that not as many are coming, I'm going to!!! (Yes, Jamie --- the perks of not so many people booking, haha!) Hoping to print them tomorrow and post soon. Waiting for my Oriental Trading Co order to arrive for the Compass brads I will use. Coco & Jamie ----- did you use templates for the boarding pass holders?? I can't seem to find the best way to design those... any info would be great! Feel free to email... Goodnight, beautiful ladies! Hoping you're checking things off your lists this week! -

It is so tough having loved ones back out... especially if they're very close to you and said they would come (I'm going through the same thing). How disappointing. What's helped me a bit is focusing on those that will come and keeping my faith in our Special Day. We're here for you, Tndrheart! Thank you! I am making the BM bouquets, and the boutineres as well. The complimentary bouquet is supposed to be gorgeous!! -

Finished my Bridal Bouquet tonight --- finally!!! I can't believe it's done after HOURS and HOURS of working on it! I'm incredibly pleased. Here are pics for your viewing pleasure! This is the opened locket (which I had since I was 8 years old, haha) -- it has my Granny and Grandpa in it. Granny is my bestest friend besides my FI, and she's 90 and can't make it to Mexico (but we're getting married in the states beforehand with her). And Grandpa just passed away less than a month ago. I dapped this tag as a 2nd charm for the bouquet. C & T = Casey and Tammy. Feb 18, 2012 is our Big Day! (I messed up on the 8 because I didn't have any small numbers - they're all letters, haha, and the 8 was going to be two B's... I just didn't line them up quite right. I guess it gives it even more charm! Pun intended!) -

For the B Party, the MOH & I are going to get our hair done in the morning then have a sort of girls day. Later on, the other 4 girls will come over and we'll do our nails & get ready for the night. Then I think we're doing sushi dinner (with cocktails of course!) and then going to downtown Scottsdale in a taxi for some dancing! I'm so excited!!! My dress is scandalous & something I've never worn... let me just say two things: Purple. Animal print. OW OW!!! LOL! -

Keep the faith, ladydi! I'm sure all your locations are still booked, but you could double-check. We usually get a coordinator 90 days out, but I was told mine was Claudia Fonesca (sp?) a little bit before that. I guess I just realized that I'm under the 90 day mark!!! Oh wow!! Haha. Anyways, let me know what Geraldine says... sometimes the MP people tell us different things... -

My apologies for blowing up the site ---- I promise this is my last message before I call it a night. I just HAD to share my good news. I had felt down because of my MOH possibly bailing on me and one of my other BM's saying she won't be coming after all. BUT today, one of my other BM's (who has been my friend for 24 years --- since we were 3 years old) called me today to say how EXCITED she is about booking her hotel and flight, and how she spent all morning pondering whether to stay 4 or 5 nights and what tours to do, etc!!! I felt elated. And, she said she's probably rooming with another of my BM's, and possibly a third BM! This was so great to hear because I was worried that my other BM's might bail on me too. I shared with her what has been happening with the others and let her know how much I really value her keeping her word and being reliable... and really wanting to be there for me. She said that not only was it important for her to be there for my special day, that it was a special day for her to be included, and she couldn't wait to celebrate. YAAAAYYYY!!!! My heart is SO happy! I will continue to focus on my friends and family like her, that are choosing to be there.... and forgetting the rest. ALSO ------ my Mom has been in town for Thanksgiving, and she's said that when I come home for Christmas to bring some of my DIY projects for us to work on while I'm home, and she'll take them in her suitcase so I don't have to carry them. This is a huge weight lifted off to have some help!! So now, some of my focus will be to get these projects in order to take down there! I'm going to bed with such a happy heart! Happy Planning this week, ladies (and gent)! xoxo -

I also sent out Postcard Reminders last week to our guests that hadn't RSVP'd and/or booked yet. These are what they looked like (plus the supplies): It seems like we've gotten more RSVP's lately because of these. -

Here are my finished DIY Bachelorette Favors!!!!! Lovin' crossing these off the list!! These will be given to the girls before we go out: What's inside the favor bags: ***A BIG SHOUT OUT to PillowSewCute.Etsy.com for her awesome Bitch Bags she made me!!! So happy with them & can't wait to give them to my gals (and get mine too)!*** I only put the lipgloss & Altoids inside the bag so the girls could see how the bags worked & choose what they wanted to put in them: After our night out, these will be waiting for each of the gals: I'm not sure if you can read the bag below, but it says the contents are: - Light Blocking Mask - Advil - Pepto Bismol - Waterbottles What the contents look like (minus the advil which still is being delivered from Amazon.com): I'll have 6 extra waterbottles with labels on (and Bachelorette Party ribbon bows tied at the neck) available too!!! -

Yay for successful Michael's trips!! Now your FI understands a bit more your love for M's! Wish mine did. Cute about the Christmas boarding passes - what's your work mom going to use them for exactly? I think it's so cool that all the DIY wedding projects I've been working on have taught me how to do new crafts and have given me an excuse to buy more tools which I can apply to other crafting besides for the wedding! I've even played around with the idea of opening up my own etsy store like our other bride on here! Can't wait to see more of your projects! I find them so inspiring. -

Beatyea, this is exactly what we're doing - guests are booking through my Mom's membership, and they're using the link MP provides. I emailed Geraldine several times about guests needing to pay in full instead of a deposit, and she wouldn't budge for me. I had the same fear as you. I hope your efforts prove more fruitful than mine! Happy to answer any more questions if you have them! -

Well, today's Michael's stop was successful! Bought the Crop-A-Dial tool (extended arm version) and ended up paying only $6 instead of $40 after my 50% off coupon and return credit were applied!! Now I can punch holes through lots of hard materials, including chip chipboard - which is what the special booklets I make for the OOT bags will be made of! Super psyched!! Also, putting the finishing touches on the bachelorette favors. Can't wait to post pics later! Happy Sunday everyone! -

In the process of making favor bags for my bachelorette party... for my wedding party... who 2 females might have already bailed on the wedding. ::::sigh:::: Nothing can take away the glorious fun of this night though - I won't let it!! I plan to make a kit for the night, and a kit for the "after-night." The kit for the night: - Lipgloss - Antibacterial gel - Comb & mirror - Nail file & clippers - Altoids ***All black and pink (the colors of the night!) Includes a "Bitch Bag" that I bought on Etsy for each gal... will post these pics as I make them. The kit for the "after-night" = Hangover Helper - Pink & black eye mask - Advil - Pepto bismol - Waterbottles And then, I'll put little bags of pink & black M&Ms with this. Just started working on this the other day. Here are pics of the M&M bags & waterbottles: -

In my opinion, she didn't give me valid reasons at all. It's just that she doesn't want to deplete her savings even more after buying her new car. But you're right --- it would be her loss. And sadly, it would let me know that it's time to move on from our friendship. Thanks for your kind words and support! Means a lot to me. -

My prayers and Love are with you, Essential. When someone dear to me passed away a few years ago, someone gave me this poem that helped me a lot. So, I will share it with you. Faith means not needing to see where you're going to know you'll get there safely. Even though you can't see what lies ahead, please know you already have what you need to come out of this an even stronger and better person than you already are. Peace and Love to you, your future husband, and your families. xoxo -

Well, beautiful ladies (and gent!) ~ Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Something I'm definitely thankful for this year is all of you on here. You've helped me SO much during this crazy process. Your support is unbelievable. Thank you. It's been an interesting time for me during these last few weeks. You all have been SUPER busy bees sharing incredible things for your special days. LOVE the DIY projects that were posted! WELCOME to you newbies! Hope you find everything you're looking for. I'm still in the process of making our flower arrangements, and I started making my Bachelorette Favor bags. Hope to post pictures somewhat soon. Although a monkey wrench was thrown into my plans ---- my Maid of Honor may be bailing on me!!! I was very upset about this and let her know, and she even said some hurtful things. She knows that her decision will impact our friendship if she decides not to come: #1, she accepted this important role in our wedding, #2 I called her up (with everyone else we were wanting in the wedding party) before we started planning a destination wedding to put the idea out there and ask if she'd be willing to go, and she said YES, #3 a few months ago before I sent out the invitations to everyone, when I was freaking out about cost, she assured me that she would definitely be coming, #4 she can definitely afford to go, even with deciding to buy a new car last month. On top of this, another of my bridesmaids have decided not to come. So, l'm putting flower arrangements and some other things on hiatus until we know who exactly is coming. So far, we only have 6 people booked total!!!! Our deadline is Dec 15. My goal: keep DIYing and focusing on the people who are committed to celebrating with us in Cancun and make it extra special for them and us. The good news --- if not as many people come, it will save us some money!! I got some info from Zuniga as far as their options and pricing: I hope to be back on this forum more regularly now and posting some DIY pics soon! I've been quite sick for a while, and my Grandpa passed away. It's been a bit hectic around here! Hopefully it calms down so I can DIY more. Love you all. xoxo Zuniga Catalog.pdf -

How heartbreaking, Jamie. So sorry to hear that. To add to what Chipmunk said, you might want to check Craigslist. I've had friends who find their things on there afterwards. Sending you a big hug from STL. -

Thanks, Coco. I'll definitely check out that saw kit today --- if they think I can get a clean cut with it. Was thinking I could prob paint the bottoms to blend in afterwards. -
Post your bouquet and inspiration pics here

I'm making the bouquets, and this is my bridal bouquet so far! Still a work in progress.... the white "ribbon" is paper in this pic as I need to buy the actual white ribbon from Michael's tomorrow. I was going to put swav. crystals in some of them, but I don't know if it will be "too much" and take away from the naturalness of the burlap. Thoughts? I'm going to cut the bottom so that the stems only show about an inch. Any ideas on how I can do this? I'm using wooden stakes for stems. Home depot wood cutter??? LOL! Also, anyone done the ribbon criss cross for their own flowers and know how to do it? SO PUMPED! I love how it looks so far!!!! -
