Overall what our ceremony site looked like: The chairs at the ceremony: (Project pictured - Ceremony Programs) Note: The Petal Cone Holders weren't able to be stuck in the sand in front of each chair like originally planned. The wind was too high for that. Instead, the wedding coordinator kept them in a basket and handed them out at the appropriate time. Judges Table close-up: (Project pictured - Ceremony Programs)

He/She Frame I saw this idea either in a magazine or online somewhere and loved it! I put my own spin on it by using a picture frame. The frame is from Michael's (got it for about $10 - 50% off). The background paper is from Hobby Lobby, and I just designed the wording in Microsoft Word. (Font = Caslon Antique Italic) I really loved this personal touch for our guestbook table. Now, we're using the frame to host our wedding pics in our dining room!

Petal Cone Holders I got this idea from another bride on here who made her own and also from the book The DIY Bride by Khris Cochran. I figured they were a decoration in themselves that isn't too expensive. I wanted the paper for them to have embossed designs to make it look more expensive-looking than just a paper craft. I found the paper at Michael's, and it reminded me of shells. I wanted to add a design around them since they looked so plain, so I added twine and a silver heart charm to each of them (also from Michael's - wedding favors section). We didn't use a template or anything to make them, we just twisted one piece of paper into a cone, measured where we wanted it, cut off the excess paper, and made a template! Then, I measured where to punch holes for the twine to weave through, and voila! Once the cone was twisted into position, I hot glued the end of the paper to make sure it stayed. All the petal cones made it in one piece to Cancun. And I LOVE the picture of us walking down the aisle as people tossed petals (the beginning pic of this thread). Here's to you walking down the aisle! Tammy

Thanks for those of you who have posted such encouraging words about my planning thread! I'm a busy little bee on it and am excited for how it's coming together. Think I'm going to scrapbook it now for my family! LOL. And you've inspired me to do what it takes to open my own destination store... hopefully soon! Appreciating you all today, Tammy Xoxox -

Yup! Amazing price, right?! So pumped that you're doing a TTD with him at the Cenote and beach!! Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes!! Instead of me who didn't have a brain that day and had to ride in his car sopping wet in my wedding dress, smelling like river water! Ew! I'd suggest asking your coordinator to just pay for a day pass for him. If they say yes, then you have it in writing, and BAM! The other way, you'd just pay for a one-night stay for him to enter the resort, which isn't too bad either considering his prices are already beyond-a-great-deal! Soooo pumped to see your pics!! -
Shells & Chest (For Ceremony Blessing) For our ceremony, I decided to include a blessing that's usually a stone blessing, but change it to shells. I thought it'd be a beautiful keepsake and reminder later on, and something interactive and unique for our ceremony. (I initially wanted to do a sand ceremony until I realized that the sand would get all mixed-up in our suitcases on the way home.) Here's the script for our ceremony, so you understand where the blessing fits in. I color coded the sections - LOL, I'm so organized, it's ridiculous - so it would make it easier for the officiant to read. THE SCRIPT IS NOT ALL ORIGINAL! I took almost all of the script from scripts I've seen on here (in particular, one bride's stunning video of her ceremony that I LOVED... I can't remember your name on here, but THANK YOU SO MUCH!), blessings I saw on here and online, etc. I'll post the beginning and end of our ceremony here, in case you don't want to view the whole document: Beginning of our Script: On behalf of Casey and Tammy, I would like to welcome and thank you all for having traveled to this beautiful location in Cancun to witness this loving couple join hands in marriage. The fact that you all have travelled such a great distance to be here today is a testament to the amazing amount of love and support they have. Many of you have given them much happiness, love, encouragement, and guidance through the various stages of their lives. They would like to sincerely thank you all for being here to celebrate their Big Day. A special and respectful acknowledgement must also be made to those friends and family members who were unable to attend, or have passed on but whose spirit remains alive and strong in our hearts. [pause] Casey and Tammy, before you met, your lives were on different paths with different destinations. God has brought you together and joined these separate paths into one. Each of your family members and friends here today has chosen a shell that not only represents their unique individuality and their presence at your wedding today but also has a meaningful word on it that represents a value you’d like to honor in your marriage together. You also each have a shell of your own that symbolizes your previous separate lives, separate sets of friends, separate families, and the different life’s journeys that you once traveled. I ask that everyone hold this shell throughout the ceremony. Fill your shell with positivity, prayer, wishes, and blessings of good will for Casey and Tammy… for the future of their marriage. End of our Script (but it keeps going after this): We will now pause to collect the shells that have been blessed with good fortune. [Pause as Cori collects stones in Treasure chest.] The union of these shells has now symbolically joined your once separate lives. Through you, just as the shells have been combined, so now are your friends and family joined. Your once solitary life’s paths are also now one, and all that was once separate is now shared. In this sharing, you both will find new strength and joy as together you forge a new life path. Shells stand the test of time. Over time they can even become stronger and more beautiful. Let these shells be a reminder and a memorial of the love, blessings and support that your family members and friends have provided you here today. Anyways, I hope you can see how the shells fit into our ceremony now. I think that some people may have forgotten to get theirs at the guest table, so for a future note, it would have been nice to have someone in charge of the guestbook table and make sure everyone got a shell. The chest. Hobby Lobby has amazing vintage boxes and trunks like this for awesome prices. I got mine 50% off (of course! You should know this by now. ) for about $10. The charm was also from Hobby Lobby. I just tied it on with twine. Later, I also added a shipping tag that hung in front from the clasp that said, "Please take one." You'll see this in the final pictures of our wedding at the end of my posts! Decorating the inside top was simple. I just cut the map paper I have and folded it so I fit at the top. I hot glued an extra tag from the centerpieces that I made at the top. Voila! These were the shells for the chest. I got them at Joann's in the floral section. I wrote on them with white sharpee from Michael's. They are the values we cherish most to bring into our marriage. For the final product, the chest was filled halfway with sand, and the shells were laid nicely on top! Can't wait to show you the pictures. Cheers to your own DIY projects!! Bridesmaids Gifts I really wanted to give my bridesmaids some special items to let them know how much it meant to me that they travelled all the way to Mexico to stand by our side. Taking the time to wrap gifts nicely and present them well adds so much value and appreciation for the contents. Even though it would take extra time to do this and effort on the transport part, I decided it was well worth it. I decided to put the contents in gable boxes, which I found online at Oriental Trading. When it was time to make them, I put all the gable boxes together before I decorated them for travel. I used the same thick ribbon that I used for the centerpieces, and hot glued one end to the middle center of the gable box, where the tag would go. I hot glued the burlap trading card to the other end of the ribbon. I used a leftover shipping tag from the invitations and stamped their names on with the same alphabet set I used for the other tags like this. I outlined the tag in shimmery silver sharpee (Michael's), and tied the string onto the tag. Then, I hot glued it onto the burlap. Then, I unfolded the gable box so it could travel flat in my suitcase. I packed some super glue in a baggie so that I could assemble these in our hotel room and just superglue the tag onto the other end of the ribbon. Voila! Each bridesmaid recieved Coach Poppy flipflops, AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL foot jewelry by Red-I by Chelsea, a bridesmaid rhinestone tank (from theknot.com), a Wedding Day kit, and a hand-made card (of course... pictured below). The shoes didn't end up fitting in the boxes, so I gave them separately. I just have to say, one of the most pleasant parts of this whole wedding planning process was working with Chelsea from Red-I. She made me the most stunning jewelry and was amazing to work with. I highly recommend her workl!! I got the bags and charms from Hobby Lobby. I even got a bride one for myself and got bride and groom charms and one that said, "I Do!" These are the tags I made for the bags in Microsoft Word. Here's what I put in the bags. Contents all from Wal-Mart in the toiletry travel section/make-up and hair section. These are the cards and envelopes I made for them. I also made ones like this for our parents. I got the idea of the design of the card from a picture I saw at Michael's, and then made it totally my own. These were some of my favorite things I made! (Stamps all from Michael's... heart silver charms from Michael's, too.) My girls super appreciated these gifts, and LOVED their jewelry. They looked fab wearing their tank tops while we got ready, and looked amazing at our wedding with their foot jewelry. They all say they wear their Coach flip flops all the time! Now, I can't wait to be a bridesmaid! LOL. Xoxox, Tammy

You're welcome! I'm so excited that you booked Octavio! Make sure you ask for his 5% BDW discount. I was able to get away with a day pass for Octavio because before I signed the wedding contract, I asked for the "outside vendors" line to be erased since I had an outside photographer I wanted to use. My Miami coordinator said it couldn't be erased but that I could just pay for a day pass for him and it would be ok. I printed that email out and brought it, and when I had my meeting with the on-site coordinator, they took a copy of the email, and all was well! Best wishes!! I think you'll love working with him! -
Ceremony Programs These took a long time and were pretty tedious, but I love the unique, beautiful, and meaningful result. These were NOT MY IDEA at all!!! I got the idea from the wonderful book, The DIY Bride Crafty Countdown by Khris Cochran (can usually buy at Michael's or Joann's). I bought the chipboard booklets and compasses from Oriental Trading Company. Again, the map paper is from Joann's. The paper inside is from Hobby Lobby. You'll also need a Crop-A-Dile Tool (I highly recommend the Big Bite), an exacto knife, paper cutter, circle cutter, twine, double sided tape, a glue gun, and spray adhesive. So, to get the map on the outside, I went outside to my scrap tablecloth and laid the map paper face down again (like in the centerpieces). I sprayed the adhesive on the paper, and pressed the chipboard's front, spine, and back all around the paper. I set it aside and allowed it to dry. Once dry, I cut out the edges with the exacto knife. For the front, I used a circle cutter to get a circle that was just a little bigger than the compass. Then, I hot glued it on. I hot glued the compass on. In the book, she doesn't picture hers with glitter glue around the compass, but I liked how it looked and thought it tied our wedding colors in better. So, I used my Martha Stewart glitter for the edges. Once I put in all the inside pages (see below), I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in the end to stick the twine through. For the inside pages, I made a template in Microsoft Word so I would know the approximate size of the pages as I designed them. Then, using Paint (haha), I made them all! This took the most work. Then, I printed them on my inkjet, cut them all out using a paper cutter and scissors, and used double sided tape to tape them on. I also needed to trim the edges - I really recommend small scrapbooking scissors for this. The fonts are the same as before: Treasure Map Deadhand, and Caslon Antique Italic. I'll just show you a few pages. There were several more, however, not shown. Overall, these were really worth the tedious effort!!! I think they make a great keepsake for family and friends, too. Happy Planning! Tammy Xoxox

Centerpieces I got the idea from Coconoir (amazing fellow DIYer and savvy woman that she is!) to use blumeboxes as centerpieces. They're relatively inexpensive, and most of all - they pack FLAT in your suitcase and are LIGHT! Just put your wedding flowers in, and BAM! Instant beautiful centerpiece. Go to www.blumeboxes.com to check out pricing, colors, and sizes. They also have tons of pictures of how people have decorated them. I found thick ribbons at Michael's that I wanted. Then, I stretched them over where I wanted them on the blume box, and hot glued the ends. Make sure you glue one end, let it dry, then stretch it tight for the other end (or else it looks all loose and gross!). I used the same burlap and canvas trading card materials as I did for the tags on the OOT bags (see previous post in this thread). I used the same stamps as the OOT bag tags for the "love is the treasure of life" words. I also bought bigger stamp words (from Joann's I think) to make the C & T. Used VersaMagic Inkpads for the ink. I also punched a hole in the canvas with the Crop-A-Dile tool and threaded twine through. All were glued together using a glue gun. For the sides, I used the same map paper that I used for the boarding passes (see previous post in this thread). I put a scrap tablecloth outside and laid the map paper face down, then sprayed glue adhesive on it and put the blumebox side on it right away. I'd lay it to the side and then when it was dry, I'd cut out the edges with an exacto knife. For added effect, I sprayed glitter spray on it to make it shine (can find it at any craft store). For the backs, instead of stamping like I did on the front, I found vellum quotes that I liked that had to do with Love. (I found them in a booklet in the scrapbooking section at Joann's.) I cut them out to the same shape as the canvas shipping tags I made, and then punched holes with the Crop-A-Dile. The eyelets were found at Joann's, and I just used the Crop-A-Dile again to attach the vellum and canvas. Our table while I was making these bad boys!! (Plus other DIY projects). xoxo

Time Capsule Guest Book I'm excited about this project because it's something super special for us in later years. Upon reflection, I would have done this time capsule plus made a separate guest book. (I saw a SUPER neat guestbook at my friend's wedding - done through snapfish and had lots of pictures from their engagement shoot with sections like "wedding wishes," "date ideas," "words of wisdom," "quick, easy meals," etc.) We put their notes in their OOT bags to fill out before the wedding and had several reminders for them to bring them to the wedding. (Even that said, we still have a few that we're waiting on... they said they wanted more time.) I thought this best so that they didn't have to remember to bring them to Mexico. I bought the actual capsule in Michael's' frame section for about $10 on sale. I believe it's around $18 or so full-price (but never pay full price!!). The inside is black velvet and is very nice. Instead of putting a picture as the top, I made a design using some of my leftover materials from other DIY projects. Here's the first draft I did, which I think I actually like better than the final version: I may switch it back to this one, LOL! This is what the front of the cards look like. I bought the natural looking blank cards at Hobby Lobby for 50% off (of course). They're Paper Studio. I bought the Bride and Groom and Te Amo stamps at Hobby Lobby, too, I believe. The ink for those was a big stamp pad of Archival Ink from Hobby Lobby. The starfish stamp is from Michael's. I don't remember what ink I used for the starfish. Fronts of the envelopes. I bought the shimmery envelopes from Michael's. The postcard looking paper is from Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook paper section, and I cut them out with special edge scissors. The glitter around the outside are the Martha Stewart glitter pens. I used my dapping tools to cut out silver strips and hammered big numbers and letters into the silver to label the envelopes. Then, I punched holes in each side of the metal and put eyelets through and hammered them down. I used the same postcard type paper that I used on the front side to line the envelopes on the inside. I just measured how big the pieces needed to be and cut them out and put double sided tape on the back to secure them. Easy!! Just for fun - this is what our dining room table looked like as I was making these (looks like I was making the luggage tags and boarding passes at the same time, too!) Stay tuned for what my Time Capsule Guest Book looks like at our wedding!

Sometimes they can arrange the transportation for you with the resort credits. But they were all booked by the time we booked our dolphin swim (I would recommend booking it right away just in case). We got a taxi there and back, and I believe we paid $20 each way. Wet and Wild is at the same location as the Dolphin Swim, so you don't need separate transport there. Hope this helps! Both would be a great choice!! We loved the privacy of El Caribeno, and the food was great... and the meat at Arrecifes was worth LIVING for!! Lol! You can't go wrong! -

Hey Lovelies! I'm so happy to say that now I'm Mrs. Samuels!!!!!! Congrats to Alaharri, LadiDi, and krsmith on becoming MRS, too (and if I've forgotten anyone, my apologies)!! And best wishes to Coconoir, as you're packing and putting together the last few things before your wedding! I know I've said this a bunch, but you all are so amazing and supportive. It's mostly because of you all that we had the wedding of our dreams!! So pleased to report that everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect. I'm working on a DIY planning thread (already posted some entries - about 15 more to go, LOL). Plus, I just finished my MP Review: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/moon-palace-golf-spa-resort-all-inclusive/reviews/5870 -
I actually didn't even think about that. That would be a nice touch! On here, I saw suggestions like giving her a generous tip, a letter of recommendation afterwards with a picture, talking to her supervisor... you could treat her to a spa day, but she may already get really great discounts for this. I used the Sunrise salon. I think his name was Alberto? (I think he's the only male.) Believe he's worked there for 10 years. I did a trial for make-up and hair with him before the big day. Really loved what he did! I highly recommend getting a trial for both. Overall, I'm super happy I saved the money and used my credits for this. I hope these pics give you an idea of his work!

Flowers & Boutonnieres This was my MOST dreaded project. I geta ll EW just thinking about it, hahaha. But I think it's just because I had zero experience working with fake flowers and doing this sort of thing --- totally out of my comfort zone. I'm SUPER glad I did it though. All of our flowers for the wedding party only cost us $170! Supplies needed: Flowers you like (I got ours from Michael's and Joann's) Flower tape (Michael's) Glue gun & sticks Ribbon (thicker is better) Floral wire cutters Dark green stakes (only found in some Michael's stores in the floral section) ***May not be necessary depending on the flowers you choose.*** The women that worked at the different floral counters at Michael's were really helpful in giving me tips on doing these. I suggest picking the flowers you like and then asking them for advice, especially since I'm not expert on this! I highly recommend getting fabric swatches of your colors to use throughout this whole process. I carried one from my bridesmaid's dresses since that's the hue of teal I wanted for everything. It really helps in the ribbon selection for the flowers! The bouquets took a very long time --- mine took the longest. I believe it's because of the hydrangea type flowers I selected, though. I also wanted to weave in the small green flowers. Some of the Process: I used the wire cutters to cut off all the heads of the flowers (saving some leaves for the bout's). Then, I used the floral tape to attach one hydrangea flower cluster, or one small green flower cluster, to a green stake. It was necessary to hot glue the ends of the floral tape, or the tape would start unraveling. (It's also important to only do one hydrangea cluster per stake because I tried doing three to a stake, and the bouquet became all squished.) After I had a few stakes together - to form the top middle of the bouquet - I tied them together with floral tape (only a few wraps is sufficient). Then, I added a few more stakes of flowers around that cluster, and tied these all together at the same exact place with the floral tape. I repeated this until the bouquet was the size I wanted. Note: if you do this method with the stakes, it becomes extremely difficult to get a large bouquet. For my bouquet, which was larger than the BM's, I actually made inserts to spread out the stakes at the top (scrunching up bits of printer paper and tying them all around with floral tape). It was super tedious. The bout's were the easiest part! They are just a very small version of the bouquets. More of the Process: We had lots of burlap as a part of our decorations, so I wanted it also in my bouquet and my husband's bout. The burlap is from Michael's floral section, and I just wrapped it around the bouquet and hot glued it. For the ribbon, I simple wrapped it around the bouquet pretty tightly. I didn't have wire ribbon, which may have been easier to use. I didn't like the way the ends of the ribbon looked, so I actually tucked them under as I wrapped. For the end, I just tucked the ribbon ends either at the top or bottom and hot glued them in place. Then, I just tied a tiny ribbon at the top with a bow, and before I made the bow, I put on the charms (below). For my bouquet, I also bought Swavorski crystals and pearls from Michael's and hot glued them into some of the flowers. If you do this, it's best to do it every three flowers or so. I really recommend the Swavorski brand so that they look good quality. Once I finished the ribbon part, I used the wire cutters to cut the ends of the stakes so they looked even. Voila! I decided to make my own charms since I already had materials to do Dapping with (metal working for jewelry, etc). I bought silver sheets of metal from Michael's and cut them out, then used my alphabet and hammer to make the words. My small alphabet set didn't have any numbers, so I had to make the date using letters! The 8 on the 18 is a bit weird-looking, but I kind of liked it since it added character. I've had the locket since I was around 8 years old, so it was my Something Old. My Granny and Grandpa were in there since they couldn't be at the wedding (Granny - old age, Grandpa had recently passed away). These are what I put on the Bridesmaids' charms. Close-up on the Bout's.

Hi Josie! Thank you for the kind words! I actually am contemplating opening my own destination design shop for passport booklets, etc. So, I actually won't be posting or sharing any templates. I hope that if you decide to make your own that this thread helps you! I'm definitely willing to answer questions and help how I can. Happy Planning! Tammy

OOT Bags & Contents By the way, OOT = Out of Town. This took me a while to understand on here! (Also, btw, FI = Fiance... haha, that also took me a while! I'm blonde! ) Guests LOVED these! I think I saw pretty much all of them using them around the resort! One of my guests actually took it with her to a business meeting in town to hold her things! They also said it was easier to recognize who was in the wedding group because of them. Thanks again to all of the amazing OOT bags and contents I saw on here! You ladies are all so inspiring! OK, so with these babies, I designed the image for the bags and screenprinted them on the bags. The bags were from cheaptotes.com and were the natural ones. (They actually sent me the wrong order, but they were really good about the whole thing, and I got my bags in good time). I bought screenprinting paper from Joann's, and I'm not sure whether it was the paper or how I was ironing them, but it seemed like only half of the bags I did turned out well. I would recommend buying really good quality screenpaper and/or buying plenty of bags in case things go wrong. The rough burlap was from Hobby Lobby (sold in these small rectangles), and the canvas tags were also sold in small rectangles right by the burlap ones (I believe they're labeled as "Trading Cards"). I cut the canvas tags to the shape of shipping tags (which are a nuance carried throughout our wedding). Glued them both together with a glue gun. The lettering were stamps from Hobby Lobby using the VersaMagic ink (which is ok for fabric). I made holes with my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite Punch I bought at Michael's ----- LOVE THIS GADGET! The charms were from Hobby Lobby. (The word charms come in a pack of 12 from the scrapbooking section - Jim Holtz designs - LOVE his stuff!!) Bag, Oh Sh*t Kit, Underwater Camera, Door Hanger, Welcome Book, Playing Cards, Postcard Notes (for our guest book time capsule), and Tip & Key Holder Wristlet. Guests seemed to use everything here except the door hangers. I'm not sure about the playing cards. The playing cards are from Oriental Trading Co. I found the playing card template on here somewhere (use the search engine), and modified it for our colors. I just printed them on regular printer paper and then used double sided tape to attach them on each side of the card box. I bought the underwater cameras from www.ecamerafilms.com - $4.50 each. The door hanger template was also found on here, and I used a circle punch from Michael's. I also used a very small circle punch from Hobby Lobby to make the holes around the hanger in order to thread the twine through. One sunscreen & Blistex per guest, 2 pepto bismols, 2 advil packets, bandaids, and a hangover recipe. I bought the sunscreen and blistex from Walmart. The pepto and advil were from amazon. I made the label thingy from lots of great ones I saw on here! The shipping tag is a stamp I bought from Michael's and scanned at FedEx Office and made into a jpg. I put everything in a ziplock bag, and stapled the label thingy on top. I actually did this all before the flight, and they all arrived in perfect condition. Here's a template for the hangover recipe: I saw guests using these all the time, too. I know I had mine all the time and loved it. The stretchy wristlet is from Oriental Trading Co., and they come in multiple colors. The sleeves are from specialistID.com. I printed the inserts on scrapbook paper I bought at Hobby Lobby. Thanks again to all of the ladies that posted templates of this on here! Michelada Recipe.doc

Passport Welcome Booklets Okay, out of all of the DIY madness I did, these are what I was most excited about. I'm obsessed with Passports and stamps! If I travel somewhere, and they don't give me a stamp, I'm uber-disappointed!! These took an amazing amount of time to design. I actually bought stamps from various craft stores that looked like stamp borders, bought brown and teal ink (I highly recommend VersaMagic Dew Drop Ink), stamped them all in different colors, scanned them at FedEx Office, and then made them into separate jpg images on my computer. The pages were printed on thicker paper from Hobby Lobby's scrapbooking section ---- double sided. I had to plan out the pages since they don't print in order. ****THANK YOU to Beck, who posted a planning page on here for welcome booklets! That was a really useful tool in helping plan this whole project!! I believe I also got the puzzles and spanish sections from her as well.**** I'm super happy how they turned out, and our guests seemed to love them too! I'm not posting all of the pages on here since there are so many, but I hope this gives you a good idea. I printed the words and starfish from the computer. Then, I used my silver shimmery pen from Joann's that's permanent to go over the word Passport. The twine used here and seen in other projects is from Michael's. I cut the corners using a small corner rounder punch I bought from Hobby Lobby. I was able to staple the books together using an extended stapler I bought at Office Max. Thank you to the many brides who gave such wonderful wording in your welcome letters! Mine is a mixture of the beautiful words I saw from many letters here on BDW. There were 3 other pages of our guests, but you get the idea. The shells and Beach wording are from different stickers I found at craft stores (which I scanned at FedEx Office as well, and created into jpgs), and the actual passport stamp-looking ones are from stamps I found at Michael's. I believe I found the map of our resort on the official resort website. I didn't think this map was something they'd actually use, but I think it was helpful to give an idea of what the resort offered, so they could make the best of it. I personally really enjoyed this section of our own book! I checked off the restaurants we visited as if we were in Disneyland, LOL, wanting to ride all of the rides! I also like how it says what the "dress code" is, which is something that Moon Palace didn't offer in its info to new guests. Moon Palace offers Resort Credit for its guests depending upon the length of their stay, so I thought it important to highlight this so guests got the most of them. I'm not sure whether people used this or not, but they thought the phrases on page 20 were hilarious!! Thanks, Beck! These were fun to do! Thanks again, Beck.

I apologize for the big space between this post and my last one! My intention was to pump out my whole thread at once --- life had other plans! Anywho... moving on... Boarding Passes & Luggage Tags I sent these out about two months before our Wedding Day. Our guests were so excited to get them! I think it helped answer some of their questions too, especially those that don't travel frequently (and those that have never been out of the U.S.!). These took me a long time to design in Microsoft Word, using Paint. Thank you for the many ladies that sent me their templates of boarding passes, boarding pass jackets, and luggage tags (especially Coconoir & Jamie5280)!! I absolutely loved mine. I hope they inspire you! I found the world traveller stamp at Michael's and the antique map paper in the scrapbooking section at Joann's. The tags were leftover from our invitations (Office Max shipping tags). The glitter is martha stewart glitter pens (highly recommend). The starfish and words were done from my printer first. I printed these on beach sand paper from the scrapbooking section at Hobby Lobby. Fonts: Title - Treasure Map Deadhand; Rest - Caslon Antique Italic. I also used a Martha Stewart glue pen & glitter to dot the lines that mark the "perforations." A lot of the info they already knew from our website. But I highlighted important things they may have missed in here plus added things like a Packing Checklist, Wedding Itinerary, etc. For couples, I gave them one of each of the designs. I bought the Luggage Tags at Michael's in the wedding favor section. (Note - NEVER pay full price at Michael's, Joann's, or Hobby Lobby! They always have some sort of coupon going on which you can get from their website, mailings, even an app on your smartphone. Hobby Lobby's wedding section has 50% off sales for about a week of every month.)
