I have not booked any excursions but I am interested in hearing what people have done or suggest. On another note, does anyone else have people questioning them regarding Mexico and if they feel safe? If I have one more person tell me that there is travel warning for Mexico I may scream!!!! haha

We are getting there Monday the 14th. We are having the ceremony on the beach, the cocktail hour at the blue beach bar ( I think that is what it is called) and our reception on the terrace...have you decided where yours is yet?

Good Morning Ladies! I am getting confused looking at the menus for the Eternity and Devine Packages. When I send out the invites I want to have everyone pick their meal. Do I give them all 4 options for main course (veggie and gluten free also if needed) or do I narrow the choices down and have them pick from 2 or 3? What is everyone else doing? Thanks!!

I have heard about the the timeshares but I think that can happen anywhere you go! I have never heard anything about having to buy a bottle of wine to eat in the a la cart places. I think that you just need to not be too worried about the negative reviews because most of the time people are only going to put the negative. Also, a lot of the negative reviews are not too much of issue for me because I think that some people are overly critical of places. Most of the reviews are fantastic so I don't think you should worry! Good luck in your search! Thanks! I will have to check them out. Still debating on doing a sand ceremony...I'm doing a ring warming ceremony so I don't know if I need to add anything else.

I am planning on doing a first look before the ceremony...I think that only takes about 10 minutes. After the ceremony we will probably take some pics with everyone (we are only having about 17 guests) and then they guests can head on to the cocktail hour while we finish our photos. So I'm trying to figure out music for the ceremony and I am coming up blank! We are doing the symbolic ceremony (again making it look legit) and I'm not sure how many songs/music we need. Also, should I do just acoustic (no lyrics) for the songs we choose? I'm not sure what to do! What has/are you guys doing?

It was really hard at first to stay positive because I was surrounded by a lot of negativitiy but now I'm even more sure that this is what I wanted and am so happy that I didn't give in to please everyone else. Unfortunately most of the rooms are booked up at our resort (at least that is what I was told) so if they are planning on waiting they won't get a room! We are going to have a great time no matter what!

Haha I think we are having the same wedding!! I had a lot of family (immediate family) complain and whine about me having to get married in Mexico and told me I would regret it. I'm pretty sure that once we are there they are going to eat their words! Even with a small amount of people going I know we are going to have fun and I'm sure that there will be some people that wished they would have gone!

I just ordered the swatches for the $99 suits. I was wondering what shoes everyone had their grooms wear. We are going to be barefoot for the ceremony but for the reception I'm not sure if I should get some sort of sandal or just a regular dress shoe. We are having a formal AHR so that's why I was thinking just a formal shoe.

I think someone may have already asked this but I don't feel like searching! We are having a symbolic ceremony (making it look legit though!) and I don't know if I have to come up with the wording for the ceremony or if they already have something. What is everyone else doing or what have you done? Thanks!

I know exactly how everyone feels regarding people attending. We only have 17 and 3 of those are children 5 and under! We only have 1 friend going which is kind of disappointing because we thought more friends would come. I understand it's hard and expensive but when we have traveled for people we thought they would do the same in return. We only have immediate family and one friend attending. Oh well, we will still have so much fun!!!

It is for the divine package. They took out the 2 hours of a DJ and had one hour (I think?) of a band. I was able to swap that and get the DJ for 2 hours instead. My wedding is in May so maybe you booked yours before they changed the package? I have to figure out what I am doing for music for the ceremony...I guess just use an iPod.

I have a brand new with tags, never worn, unaltered Casablanca 1975 gown. It is a size 14 gown, I usually wear street size 6 or 8 but had to order a 14 for my bust. It is champagne and ivory. The lace on this dress is absolutely stunning! I bought it to wear for my wedding in May but ultimately changed my mind. I paid $1250 for it and am trying to sell it for $900 or best offer. I am only having about 25 people and i was able to get a dj for 2 hours by swapping out the band that is included in the 2012 package. I think you can still have a good party with only 25!
