I'm trying to figure mine out as well. We aren't having a wedding party so I'm not really sure if there will be any toasts or not?!?! I'm thinking of having the introduction, toasts (if any), dinner and then start the dancing with the first dance and father/daughter, mother/son and then at some point during the regular dancing cutting the cake. I might switch it around because I am not sure how long my photographer will be staying.

Hey Kerri! My ceremony is scheduled for 5:30...I'm starting to worry that it's too late?? I have my hair and makeup appoitnments scheduled at 2. They said that it should be enough time but I heard from another bride that they took FOREVER to do her hair and makeup so now I'm starting to worry about that too!! Heat and Humidy is horrible for my hair and makeup too so hopefully it will hold up! Have you sent Pilar your planning form yet? I'm still getting my together and have some questions but I feel like it would just be easier to talk to her about them while I am down there. Hopefully I can make last minute changes if need be. Do you know if there is another wedding on your day? I haven't seen anything about anyone else on mine (or yours for that matter) but obviously not every bride goes on the wedding websites!!

Uhaft - Thanks for your timeline! I haven been going back and forth about mine. I hope I have enough time for everything!! Your centerpieces look great...you are braver than me! I am bringing as little as possible because I don't want to travel with much!!

cortneyadam - I am doing the divine package and only have about 17 people coming to the wedding. I do worry that it might be weird having a regular dinner reception with a small amount of people but I think for us it will be worth it and makes sense. Plus I have been able to switch things out that I don't need or want and add things in at no extra cost. We are also having a reception back home (at my parents request!) I have about 6 weeks left so I will give a review and let you know if I should have gone with a different package!

I have been working with Pilar from the beginning and have had no issues with her! I was aware that it would take awhile for her to respond back to me and was actually surprised with how fast she gets back to me. I can't believe I have 6 weeks!!

Yea I plan on having it as carry on somehow but I can't seem to find a box big enough...my aunt went a little overboard so it's a little too big! haha oh well!! Have a great wedding and trip!!!

This may be a silly question but how do you plan on flying with your bouquet? I had my aunt make me a shell bouquet and now I have no idea how to package it to fly on the plane with me!!! Your wedding looks like it is going to be awesome. You look absolutely beautiful in your dress!!

I would try emailing Pilar to make sure she is handling your wedding. I wouldn't be worried though...I have heard that most people are amazed at how organized Pilar is and that she will know everything. Ana is no longer there so you definitely won't be hearing from her. I have heard that they will have little menu cards at each persons seat but I am not sure if this happens all of the time. Kerri- I am trying not to bring too much either! I have koozies for favors, I'm bringing paper lanterns but I'm not sure about lights yet. I'm bringing table runners, paper straws, and door hangers for part of a welcome gift. I am going to have a bottle of champagne sent to everyone's rooms when we arrive so that I don't have to bring anything for OOT bags. I'm going to give our parents and sisters and my nephews their gifts before we leave for Mexico that way I don't have to travel with them! I have not been in touch with our officiant...I don't even know who our officiant is. I'm actually hoping that they just use whatever they have because I am not good at that stuff! As much as I would love to do a TTD session I can't because we are having a reception back here where I am wearing my dress. I'm thinking maybe for our one year I can do a session but we will see! Who is your photographer? That would be awesome if we were on the same flight as some of your family! Meagan - I have Pilar as my coordinator...she has been great! Apparently she is the one handling all of the weddings now since Ana isn't there anymore. Cortney - We went with the divine package and I just switched stuff out that I knew I wasn't going to use or want. I didn't have any problems doing this! I think the guitarist in the package can play for whatever you want them to play...I wanted to have a DJ instead so I switched that out. I think your best bet is to talk to Pilar about what it is that you want and go from there! She seems to be very accomadating! Good luck.

For those that have or are having a legal ceremony...how do they do the blood work? Do they send someone to your room or do you have to go somewhere? We are just doing a symbolic ceremony and doing the legal one here but our families do not know that so we want to be prepared as possible and make it look the real thing. Thank you! Less than 2 months to go!!!!

Kerri - I can't believe that we only have 2 months!!!! I think I am on top of everything but who knows!! What all do you still need to do? What are you bring with you to the resort? I am sure that we will run in to each other while we are down there...at least I hope we do! That is awesome that you guys are from PA! We are hoping that Penguins will be playing the playoffs and we can have some hockey parties while we are there. I read on their facebook page that they will be showing the games. It's nice to see someone else having a small wedding too! I think that we have about 16 or 17 people with us. When do you guys arrive and how long are you staying? We are arriving on the 14th and leave the 21st. I wanted 10 days but my fiance wasn't too in to that idea. Hi ladies! I am getting married here on May 17th! Only 2 months to go! We are having about 20 people with us so it will be farely small. I have been able to switch some things around in our package. We have the divine wedding package but I am not using the photographer so I was able to get a dj for 2 hours instead. Since we do not need a private transfer from the airport I was able to get my trial for hair or makeup free...I think I will have to pay for one of them but I don't remember off hand. We are just doing a symbolic ceremony and getting married here in the states prior to going down. Our family will not know this so the ceremony will apparently look as legit as possible! I think I have everything figured out regarding food and I am doing some upgrades (such as different chairs.) We are having the ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour at the blue beach bar, and the reception on the terrace. This site has been so helpful for me in the planning process!

You can ask Pilar about the number of people the terrace holds. It doesn't look too big so it might only work for about 30 or less people. I knew from the beginning that most people wouldn't travel so it was easy for my to pick the terrace but hopefully you can have a few more people than I do that will travel!! I will post after I get back with a review and some pictures. I can't believe I only have 2 months; I'm so excited!!!

shannonmarie - do you know how many people you will be having? I am having very few people come so I decided on the terrace. I too liked the idea of being outside (even though it might get hot) plus I read that the bamboo room can look empty if you have a small wedding. Good luck!!

Thank you! They do still look nice...I guess I am just concerned that there will not be enough light to really notice them at night. Are they still pretty noticeable? Mine are fuchsia and lime green.

Thats weird she told you no paper lanterns. Pilar is my coordinator and she said that she will hang them for me.

I have some battery LED lights but not enough and I am definitely ordering cafe lights for our at home reception, I just didn't want to have to travel with them. I get nervous about getting stuck in customs over something stupid like cafe string lights!! Thanks ladies

I wanted to get everyones opinion! I am taking paper lanterns to hang during the reception on the terrace. For my at home reception I plan on hanging cafe lights and having the paper lanters hang from them for the lights. I don't want to travel with the cafe lights if I don't have to but I wasn't sure if the paper lanterns would look funny hanging without any lights for my reception on the terrace. Any thoughts? Thank you!

I have been able to substitute some items. I think that it depends on who your wedding coordinator is. I have Pilar and she has been very accommodating but I have heard that Ana does not allow substitutions. I will only have about 17 total for our wedding so she isn't going based on the amount of people that we have coming with us.

I agree about going up a size in the waist. We ordered what he normally wears and it is a little snug!

I received the suit that we ordered yesterday and it is so nice! I am very happy we decided to order from this site. We ordered the pre set sizes and has his ordered in Tropical English Beige. I highly recommend it!

Has anyone shipped any wedding items to the resort? I think it would be really expensive but I'm not sure. Thanks!
