You do get flowers for the pergola (I got married on the beach and the flowers on the canopy thing were included) The flowers in the picture above might be an upgrade though. Below is the set up for my ceremony and I didn't pay extra for any of the flowers.

We only had 15 others with us but we didn't do a welcome dinner. We did dinner as a group a couple times and the restaurants just broke us up into 2 or 3 tables. The first night most of us went to the buffet and they were able to sit everyone together.

I don't know about price but I wanted good photographs and it just seems that the resort photographers are never really that great. I have no idea what the resort photographer would have charged for more pictures than what was included in the package because I knew I didn't want to use them. I emailed a lot of photographers and narrowed it down to several that I liked based on their work and price. I ended up going with Gonzalo Nunez because he had a great price, I loved his work, and he responded very quickly to emails. It is all just about what you want and how much you are willing to spend!

I would talk to Pilar about this because most of the restaurants are small so you might have to do the dinner in the buffet due to the size of your group. Unless you did dinner in the one of the restaurants that would be closed during the night you will have your dinner. Not sure of the price for something like that though. Sorry I'm not much help haha!

I ended up tipping everyone! I tipped Pilar, Deisy, the guy who married us, the DJ, all of the bartenders and wait staff. I gave Pilar all of the money and told her who to give what to so I hope she did! We probably over tipped but oh well! I almost forgot and I had to go to Pilar's office to hunt someone down to give the money to! Customs was super easy and they didn't even ask us anything! I was so worried about it and it really was nothing!

I did do a TTD session the following day. I used Gonzalo Nunez as my photographer and I couldn't have been more pleased! I am exciting to get the pictures!! I also brought down paper lanterns. The only thing that I paid extra for were chairs (I upgraded to the brown tiffany chairs) and extra boutonnieres. We only had 15 other people with us so I didn't need any extra flowers ( we had the divine package so it came with 1 centerpiece and then we used the 2 flower arrangements that were used during the ceremony as other centerpieces on the table.) I am pretty sure that I should have been charged for some extra things and she didn't charge me. They are very easy to work with! I will try to upload one or 2 pictures today if I can.

I didn't have any issues with customs. I didn't take a whole bunch with me though. I had table runners, drink koozies, door hangers, some signs, and that was about it. I relied on the resort for everything else. I am still catching up at work but once I have a moment I will write my review. Overall I was pleased with everything and I was very impressed with the resort. They did lose the hanger that I bought for my dress for pictures but other than that I didn't have any issues (and that was very minor anyways!) Don't stress - everything will turn out great!

Hey ladies!! I just got back from our wedding at Now Jade and it was fantastic. Be patient with Pilar...her and her assistants work at least 10-12 hours a day every day!!! I don't know how they do it. They have meetings all morning and then get the weddings ready for the afternoon. They have to find time in there to answer all the emails that they receive. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

I had no problem switching things out. The DJ wasn't included in my package but Pilar said that if I didn't have the guitarist/band (whatever was the music option in the package) I could have a DJ for 2 hours so that is what I am doing. I also didn't need the private transfers so I am getting my hair or makeup trial done for free. She never gave me a problem about exchanging things. Good Luck!

Not sure about the DJ or Photographer but for gifts I am bringing our favors (drink koozies) but I am also having the resort send a bottle of wine or champagne to each of our guest's room instead of doing OOT bags. I have door hangers that will be attached to each bottle.

I'm getting married next month and I will have a DJ for 2 hours. Pilar hasn't told me which DJ I will be having but I assume that she booked it for me. I keep forgetting to ask her so that I can get in contact with them!

I think it depends on what you are trying to negotiate with them. I was able to swap some things that were in the package that I wasn't going to use. What are you looking to negotiate?

Well I am still figuring it all out but here goes: 4:30 - ceremony - First Look and Photographer wants to do some other photos of us 5:30 Ceremony and Group Pictures 6:30-7:30 Cocktail Hour 7:30- 10:30 (I think!) Reception I think we are going to be announced at 7:30, do the champagne toast (if there are any toasts! We aren't having a wedding party so I'm not sure how that will work), dinner and then do all of the dances. Once the dances are over and it's just party time we will cut the cake. I haven't had any of that approved yet but that is what I am going on now! Hope that helps!

Yea I figured that there will be a ton of weddings while we are down there. It is amazing how Pilar remembers details about each and every wedding!! I'm glad to hear that 5:30 isn't too late! I will be peaking around to see your wedding...I promise I won't be in any pictures We are all hoping that the Pens will still be in the playoffs and that the resort really will be showing them! My sister is super crazy when it comes to the Pens!
