We did a site inspection in March and we had our hotel get us a cab and the cab driver stayed with us for the entire day and drove us to each hotel. He even waited sometimes for an hour outside of the hotel while we were inside talking to the wedding coordinators. Although yes he didn't speak much english, he understood the basics when we spoke to him and got us everywhere we needed to be. He was very nice. I forgot was the exact price was but we both felt it was very reasonable and tipped him very well. If we were doing a site inspection again I would do the same thing again.. Hope this helps at all!

I know what you mean about it taking two months, I've even seen some brides say theirs took longer. I know I can't wait to change my last name! I think we are going to do a symbolic ceremony down there and get married legally at the justice of peace right before we go down and just not tell anyone. I've seen many brides say this was easier but I also kina of wished and wanted it to be done legally down there

Kashad you look beautiful!!!!! This is the exact same dress I decided on Sunday to change my dress to after having much dress regret! Thank you to all the ladies that gave me their opinions! I tried my dress on again on Sunday and did not fall in love I decided to try on this exact same Ella dress and absolutely fell in love. It was everything I was looking for since I started looking at dresses (I actually had 3 pictures of it ripped out but just couldn't find it). I am ordering it from a store in New Jersey that is having a trunk show this weekend so 15% off and no tax, which I need because I have to decide if I want to forfeit my deposit on my original dress or try and sell it... Seeing this dress posted has made me sooo excited to order on Friday!

Is anyone else starting to get worried about the negative reviews on tripadvisor? I know people on tripadvisor can be a little too picky and critical but every review I see says the rooms are damp and even the sheets are damp

Swojdyla-I too am getting married at Riu Palace, a bride that got married there in July posted a review about her wedding and I asked her about her hair and makeup and if she was happy with them. She said they were great, Jamie is the manager and Elizabeth is who styled her hair and makeup in her room.... I am still trying to decide myself what I am going to do for my hair and makeup, if I am not happy with it I will definately panic too and throw a fit lol

So I went to try my dress on again and am still so confused...dress #1 is the dress that I ordered and dress #2 is another dress I like a lot.... I don't know why I am so confused but i am!! I would love honest opinions please dress #1 dress#2

Thank you everyone who gave their honest opinion about my dress! I don't know why I was having such doubts but today I am going to make an appt to go try it on again and hopefully I will love it just as much as I did the day I ordered it. As far as losing weight, I totally agree that noone should lose weight only because of their wedding day and because of their dress. I have gained some weight over the past year and I want to lose it so I will be more comfortable with myself and happy with my body, not because of my dress.

Thanks for your kind words Kelly! Like you said, hopefully when it comes in and I put it on I will love it. If not, I will be buying a new dress lol. I tried on soo many dresses and it is different then what I thought I would end up with and I think that is also why I am having doubts. I did get frustrated while dress shopping trying to find a dress I "LOVED" and I just hope I didn't settle : ( Last night the same thing happened to me with the tripadvisor reviews, my fiance and I were reading recent ones and I almost had a break down because they were so bad! After speaking to a bride earlier who just got married at the same hotel as me I feel much better. Thanks again!

Here is my dress that i ordered almost a couple months back, lately I have been having such doubts and I don't know why?? Especially when I watch say yes to the dress, I even started to cry the other night and I think my fiance thought something was wrong with me haha. Has anyone else had doubts after ordering?? I will be making it sweetheart neckline and losing 20 pounds lol but I am loooking for honest truthful opinions please!!!

Congrats! Absolutely gorgeous!!! I am getting married at Riu Palace Punta Cana June 2, 2012 and I feel much better after reading this review. I have been seeing so many negative reviews on tripadvisor and was starting to get upset. I know people on tripadvisor can be really picky and complain about minor things but I was still getting worried. How did you like Ibersotar Grand for your honeymoon? Are you glad you chose that resort or would you have done anything different? We were thinking of doing the same thing and going there for our honeymoon...or go to a different island..so hard to decide!

Thanks stluciabound, your dress is beautiful! I do love corset also, it was something I thought about because they are so flattering. The only reason I didn't is because I do like the buttons on the back. We will see if I decide to change my mind...I just hope I still love it in 9 months cause I had a hard time picking a dress because there were sooo many I really liked but would of made changes to. Oh and I love Say yes to the dress! My fiance has been tortured by watching many episodes of it with me.
