  1. I've been waiting and stalking the dollar tree website for the famous dollar tree totes to come out in season. I'm thinking and hoping they'll be coming out soon. I check almost every day lol http://www.dollartree.com/big-polyester-beach-totes/p310914/index.pro
  2. If you are trimming the ribbon I say the first one! They are both beautiful though but the first one is so different!
  3. Congratulations!! Your wedding looked perfect and you looked absolutely beautiful in that dress! Oh and I agree, your son is too cute and looked so precious!
  4. There are many reviews on Carribean Emotions on this site. We are using them for our photograhpy in June also! I am looking forward to working with them especially because of all the great reviews and they have been such a pleasure to work with through email. Good luck!
  5. We are getting married at the Riu Palace Punta Cana and then we are leaving to go to the Iberostar Grand Bavaro for our honeymoon. We also wanted it to be more intimate and just us for our honeymoon as we will already had 6 days with all our family and friends.
  6. I feel the same, I hate that they take so long to respond! What else do you have to do?
  7. I was going to do something exactly like this! Where did you get the vases from?
  8. Congrats FutrMrsLaCross! We also considered the Melia Caribe, when we did our site inspections last March, that's where we stayed. The grounds of the hotel were very beautiful but it just wasn't for us to have our wedding for other reasons. What were some of the things you guys want to splurge on? What do you mean by the additional costs for guests? How much is it per person for the wedding? Feel free to ask any questions! This website gets addicting lol Congrats and Happy Planning!
  9. Captain and Diet Coke is my drink of choice! although I will drink most drinks that are given to me haha
  10. Love these! These are super cute! I just ordered my proof Thanks for sharing!
  11. Just wondering, since the packages say complimentary upgrade upon arrival if available, what is everyone doing...are you booking a regular room and hoping all the suites aren't booked or just booking the suite before hand and paying the extra money?
  12. Congrats Hildalin! I am also a June bride but 2012. This is the email address I use for the wedding coordinator Maria, [email protected]. As of a few weeks ago the rate that is now going on for us is 30% less than what it was originally. Right now there is an early booking rate of $198/per night for double occupancy for a regular room, this is much cheaper than what it was a while back for us. I am curious as to what everyone else's rates are for their time of year. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!! Choosing a hotel was also the hardest part for me.
  13. Finally made it! Now I can open attachments!
  14. Our ceremony time is at 4pm and will be taking pictures after that followed by the cocktail hour. I asked my wedding coordinator a while ago if we should move it to 5 or so and she suggested to me I keep it at 4 so we will have more time for pictures
  15. We are doing all inclusive as for us it is most cost effective and didn't want to have to worry about how much we will spend on food and especially on alcohol (that adds up very quickly for us haha). The only cash we will need is for tipping or excursions.
  16. We had a similar problem a couple weeks ago, we booked our airfare months ago with American airlines leaving from JFK going to Punta Cana and a couple of weeks ago my travel agent contacted me saying American notified her that all of their non-stop flights to Punta Cana are now connecting flights. I was soo mad when she told me this, cause I was not going to have a connection. Our only other option was to fly Jetblue, which we orignally did not go with because they do not have a closet for bridal dresses where as American did, but that was our only other option or leave out of Newark which is farther away for us. We checked the price of Jetblue and it was a couple hundred more than what we paid, so I waited a couple weeks cause it was the holidays and stuff and I just didn't feel like being bothered or stressing over it. Last thursday i checked prices again and they went down to almost what we paid originally and we had the travel agent re-book us with Jetblye and get us our refund from American. Besides not having the closet on Jetblue to hang my dress in, which I'm going to make sure they find somewhere to put it or I'll hold it if I have to haha in the end it all worked out for us. Are you using a travel agent? I would just keep checking prices and I would still wait to book, we waited months at first because airfare was so much but it eventually went down. Are you in New Jersey? Good luck and I know its hard but try not to stress it just yet
  17. My dress is ivory, the sample dress I tried on I didn't even know was ivory until I asked. I was afraid to order the white as it might be too bright and I am fair skinned so I just stuck with the ivory since its what I tried on and loved. The bridal consultant also suggested I def go with ivory cause of my skin tone. Maybe it's the material or the designer but I feel it is more of an off white and not really a true ivory.
