    Like if you don't qualify for unlimited functions and you still want to do a rehearsal dinner or welcome dinner or goodbye brunch, you'd have to pay for a private function for another reservation.

    I haven't talked to my coordinator Lily for a long time. I was just contacted by Joannis who says she is my new planner and that she would honor the $65 set up fee. Quote: "If you have been told about this $65 set up fee by a planner or at the resort, it will be honored." Hope that helps!!

    Janina responded back again saying to confirm with the "planner"... So does that mean it's subject to the planner you get? So some will charge $65, some will charge $200? =/

    I contacted Janina and she answered.... Not entire sure HOW to respond besides being highly irritated. "Hi Janina, originally you told me the set-up fee was $65, will this still be honoured? I am hearing from other Moon Palace brides that booked after January 2012 that it has gone up to $200". Her response was: Good morning Ms. Yvonne, All our rates are subject to change. The wedding planner will be assisting you with this. Regards Janina

    I was just thinking the same thing. Inviting my friends to a nice restaurant for dinner and asking them to not bring gifts or anything, just pay their own way. I'm not thinking of sending fancy invites or anything (likely word of mouth or a facebook event). It's only for our friends anyway since all of our family will be coming to the DW.

    Also I just checked the cost for Private Functions and it's $400 per table of 10... So if that's the price she quoted you for a dinner reservation, then that's just ridiculous.

    I can't open it. I've been wondering the same thing... that is a ridiculous cost. Half of me is just considering having our large group show up at a restaurant...

    My "in between coordinator" is Lily. She's been okay, but I find that she redirects my emails back to Janina, so I just email Janina directly. IMO, it's kind of a useless position. =/

    Did anyone go for room upgrades when you got there with your resort credits? How much extra was it (not exact numbers but how big of a jump?) We're thinking of booking Oceanview and then upgrading to Concierge but not sure how much that would cost and if it would exceed our resort credits.

    I was talking to Janina who ended up forwarding me to Lily Sanchez. But in the end Lily couldn't answer some of my questions which directed back to Janina. So now, I just email Janina.

    I'm in the same boat. I'm a teacher and it's Report Card season so I'm working about 12 hours every day!! I still have some DIY and little small stuff to do so the pressure is on. No one here has booked either but we put our RSVP for March 1st.
