  1. Thanks for your input! It definitely puts me at ease to have my family there in Cancun knowing they won't be treated poorly. I did check out Del Sol but was unsatisfied by their inflexibility to work with my budget. That said, they were not even in my top 5 so I really felt I would have to settle with their work. I have just signed with a great husband/wife team based in Toronto whose portfolio is diverse. Exactly what I'm looking for!
  2. What's he wearing? Sandals? Flip flops? Dress shoes? Sneakers? =)
  3. How is your man planning to wear his hair? Shave it short? Grow it long? What about facial hair? Clean shaven? Trimmed? Beard? Are you letting him choose or are you putting in your two cents about it? =)
  4. Thank you! We'll used the "saved money" to splurge a little on the invites~
  5. Anything super practical? Neither of our mother needs any more dust collectors! XD
  6. Please keep eyes peeled, ladies. Cooler weather is coming back so maybe we can find some deals!
  7. To add to this: disposeable camera deck of cards mini board game DVD(s) - Wall-E or maybe Shrek series
  8. I did not get a chance to book with them since they were not available, but I also really like Erin's work from Renaissance Studios. I will be doing a complimentary session with Tait Photography as it comes with my package and I like their work too! That said, I was ready to book with Honeybourne Intimates as well for boudoir. My BD shots are being done by a photographer who has published works in Playboy and Maxim, he doesn't do it commercially but he did recommend Honeybourne Initmates~ Hope this helps!!
  9. Our Chuppah is quite simple which white, red, champagne drapes. However the judge's/signing table is completely BARE. Other than putting on a centerpiece of flowers, what are some alternative ideas? I've seen people place a photo frame before... anything else?
  10. I remember being super frustrated that I couldn't find those funny cake toppers in different races. =( I was able to find someone that paints custom hair colors on them from ebay which is the closest I could get. Still debating on it though. There really needs to be more variety reflected in this industry!!
  11. Lots of June 2012 brides including myself!! We'll be in Cancun, Mexico! Congrats and welcome to the boards!!
  12. One more tip: assemble all your questions into a numbered list. It helps people to answer easier! =)
  13. I still have many questions that I plan on asking the on-site coordinator but usually the way resorts work around here is attention to you about 3 - 6 months before your actual wedding date. BBV is free and so far my experience with them have been fantastic!!
  14. For brides who married there, I plan on having a June wedding... any experiences with mosquitoes?
  15. Any Canadian brides out there find something on this? I did a search and everything was made for the US. Our DW is happening in Mexico and I can't seem to find anything like WedSafe for Canadians. I've even emailed them and they say that they don't insure Canadians and they don't have a branch or affiliate who does.
  16. Congrats I have about 15 more to go!!
  17. Both of us love rock but find that many people think it's hard to dance to. =( Don't know how or if we will incorporate them into our music list.
  18. Thank you~ I think it's a mix of our personalities. The beach reflects him in that he is easy going, laid back (blue eyes haha). The colors help to reflect me, classic and passion tones~ I wanted to avoid the bright beachy colors (though they make for great photos) I still wanted a formal, classic feel.
  19. Also forgot to mention that they are Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato 140mm in Nude Multiglitter. Does anyone know if those "heel stoppers" work on sand? (I know they were made for grass).
  20. These are my wedding shoes. I bought them thinking that we would be having a garden ceremony, but now it's on the beach. I still plan on wearing these ON the beach (hoping the aisle runner will help). But I will be taking them off after for photos on the beach (likely bringing some wedges). Will put them back on for cocktail/reception~
  21. Can anyone recommend some classy instrumental songs that can be played for the processional, recessional and signing? I'm thinking of having a classical duet (not sure what instruments, they haven't told me).
