  1. June. 5pm. Optimal lighting and after the hottest time of day in Cancun.
  2. Does anyone else feel like they're dragging their feet when it comes to DIY stuff right now? @__@ I feel unmotivated...
  3. Thanks so much for explaining. After reading the first few pages and the last few pages, I really didn't get it. The first post doesn't explain much~ Where are the starfish now? And how do I get in on the fun?
  4. Thank you! I can't wait to put them together in a little black book for him! Thanks so much~ I really hope so! I'm trying SOOO hard to keep this secret LOL. I KNEW I wanted to do a boudoir shoot from the beginning, but when my friend told me that I'd be photographed by someone who has done work for Playboy and Maxim, it was like a wish come true!! I can't wait to see his reaction!!! Keeping it classy was really important to me. I wanted the effect to be a LITTLE more risque than just the glamour but still enough to tease and get him excited for the wedding night!! I'll be gifting it to him on the morning of the ceremony!!! =) Something to "warm his cold feet", not that he has any hahahaah Another tips, remember to bring some MUNCHIES!! You're going to get hungry or thirst with all that back arching and toe pointing!! Do you mean the cardigan? It was on sale at Suzy Shier!!
  5. We didn't use the collections because you weren't allowed to customize it or change anything. They JUST put these new Colin Cowie collections up, so if you email MP now, you might still be able to get the old collections~
  6. Whoops! I haven't checked this thread in a while. Our invites have been made but they haven't been sent out. What we decided to do was to address an invite to grandma and and invite to his aunt. Every invite has "Name of Guest" (singluar). So if they want to bring someone, they can, but not more than one. The others will not be getting a formal invitation. I can't stop them from showing up because they'll essentially be paying for it, but *shrug*. I really don't want to hold awkward conversations because I am obliged to.
  7. Thanks so much for the kind comments, ladies!! =) Believe it or not, I thought I had dress regret because I didn't have enough photos to get me past the next 5 months without seeing the dress (no stock photos). So I went back, tried it on again and took more pics and a video!! I made the right choice, I just needed to be able to adore it from my screen when I'm at home LOL
  8. Thanks so much for this info!! Just wanted to add that LABOUR is not included in that catalogue. I asked for a quote for a decorated chuppah and they said the chuppah would run me $250 but LABOUR and TAXES would come to a grand total of $444. That's for a $250 item, labour = $150, taxes $44. I believe that 11% tax. Zuniga Catalog.pdf
  9. I ordered them locally. She is etiquette savvy, very efficient and the product is beautiful. The only thing is that she can be blunt (if you are okay with that) and though there are a lot of choices on on the invites, there is not a lot of wiggle room for customization.
  10. I said yes to this gown~ Lola (L05174) by Jayne Louis. Exclusive in-house designer for Becker's Bridal in Toronto, Canada.
  11. Ladies, I waited over 6 weeks for these photos come back and BOY was I anxious!! My girlfriend did my make-up and we were in such a rush out the door, I honestly had NO IDEA what I looked like in my photos. And then having to wait weeks before I could see them really drove me nuts!! I am not a make-up gal at all and don't wear any on a daily basis. I was a nervous wreak. BUT. I am really happy with the way these photos turned out. I realized I worried way too much. I showed them to my mother who prefers posed portraits, but I personally love the ones where FI and I are laughing a lot. I liked having a photographer there capture our special moments. We share these moments all the time, but it was a totally different feeling looking at them from a third person perspective!! We did these photos before sunset in Toronto, Canada. Hope you like!! Here are some of the photos, there are more in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aJNCka8iw4
  12. I am NOT a DIY person, I'm actually terrible at it. However, it was super difficult to find someone who would do the Boarding Pass invites the way I like it. I am very particular and find myself very nit-picky with high high expectations. We got them back a week ago and I am pretty happy with the way they turned out!! =)
  13. Congrats!! I can't wait for your review!! How was the weather/temperature? Did you find yourself sweating in your dress a lot? (Is your dress satin?)
  14. Please let me know if you have one~ I live in Canada. I didn't want to spend like ... $40 on a sign from Etsy. Thanks so much!!
  15. Hey ladies, they dark chuppah that comes with the complimentary wedding package really clashes with my wedding colours. But I got quoted by Zuniga $444 for a light chuppah with the decor I want. For only the light chuppah (nothing on it) is $300!! =/ Anyone know what kind of alternative options I might have?
  16. http://destinationweddinginvitations.ca She's efficient, pays attention to detail and etiquette suave. BUT she can sometimes be crass, which sometimes rubbed me wrong. If you can get past that the product is absolutely great so I don't hold it against her~
  17. Hey fellow MP ladies!! Out invites are in!! They're not DIY, but it took me a LONG time to find someone local who could make it exactly the way I wanted it. I like the informality of the boarding pass invites, but I still wanted to look very classy like a formal invitation. Our colours are champange and burgandy. =) I had issues with people trying to invite other people we barely knew, so our invite lady advised us to put in "Name of Guest" (singular) on the RSVP card!
  18. Thanks for the kind comments, ladies!! Are you guys planning to wear a veil? If so, what kind? I hear it will be windy on the beach so cathedral length might be too much?
  19. We got our engagement photos back!! They're so much better than I anticipated!! Please enjoy the video and the muuuusic <3 I am SOOO excited and stoked to get married!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aJNCka8iw4
