Overall people were very impressed with the dinner.

Appetizer-
Salad-
Main course -
Desert-
What did/didnt you like?? -
So I messaged my wedding coordinator today to ask about floating lanterns in the dolphin pool durring the the reception, her response was that it was allowed, and that they would just have to set them up after 8pm when the pool is closed......
My reception starts at 6:30, so does this mean there may be people in the pool durring my reception?!?!? -
Could you girls post:
Who your photographer was-
How many hours it included-
Cost-
I really need to know which photographers i should start messaging, but would like to narrow it down by who i can get for around 4-5 hours for about $1800-$2300
Thanks ladies! -
would any past DT brides be willing to take the time to make a list of every cost you had involved, with and outside of your package??? i know this is alot to ask, but it would be soooo helpfull (what package you used, vendor fees, set up fees,Dj,photographers, extra meals for people) I am trying to decide which package to go with, either the complimentaray or silver package.
thanks!!!!!! -
I heard that the reception lasts 3 hours and after that you have to pay extra, so im just wondering what is determined as "reception" dinner & dance??? or just that dance?? My ceremony is at 3:30 so im guessing cocktail hour at 4-5pm and dinner at 5:30 so does this mean my reception can only go till 8:30?!?!
-
What does this $750 set up fee include??? would i still have to pay the $165 set up fee (chairs & tables)
-
Thanks!
Im debating on doing the free package and just adding on everything i need/want or going with the dreams of love package. Im having the reception poolside
& having between 30-40 people, but i want to cut some costs since i want an outside photographer, what are the "extra costs" i should be aware of if going with the free package???? i heard something about a $750 fee??
Also does anyone know how the 3 hours included for reception works????

We did the Dreams of Love package and had 50+ guests come to celebrate. Part of the package was the resort photographer. We had them for an hour (an hour at the beginning of the reception). It was nice to see some pictures prior to getting our professional photos (Claudia Rodriguez). The resort photographers did a good job but our professional one blew those photos out of the water. I highly recommend spending money on an outside photographer. We had to pay the $750 as we rented out the Seaside Grill. It was a great place for the reception.

Which package did you have?? Just wondering if you had the resort photographer included in the package and if so if you used them as well as sweet fire

When budgeting- DONT skip out on a professional photographer- photos are the only memories you have- the difference between the hotel photographer and an outside one was huge! I used Juan Navarro (Very Good Price), For DJ we used DJ Bihan (hes a canadian in mexico)
Kaci Hemiller- Yes, There is a disco in the basement of the front lobby we moved our party there after 10:30, its nothing special, but it was fun
If any bride to be's want to see more photos of the resort, locations, wedding ideas add me to facebook, Laura-Ashley http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151877846135137.880178.534010136&type=3#!/laura.ashley.311 make sure you message me saying something about dreams tulum or I may not accept your friend request
We had about 30 people at the wedding and I was able to have a budget of under $12,000 including everything (our trip, pre wedding party costs)
