I had my first dance song picked out long before I had a groom picked out! I love, love, love the acoustic version of Collide by Howie Day and it will for sure be our song. If you listen to it make sure it's the acoustic version as the original version is actually kind of annoying!

Hi ladies, I was just wondering if anyone is still considering the VS multi-way dress as it is cheaper than all the other ones posted on this site. I was on wedding bee and there were some great reviews regarding the dress; however, I have also heard people say it is too clingy and wouldn't be flattering on bigger girls. Any thoughts?

OMG Bianca I loved your video, and you looked sooooooo gorgeous on your wedding day And thanks for answering all of our questions, it's so helpful to hear from someone who was married recently at DPA. I'm a little frustrated right now because my wedding planner (Sandra Sanchez) has not been answering my emails! Did you have Sandra by chance? Your reception set-up on the beach looked great, it's kind of making me re-consider having mine on the beach. My only reason for not wanting it there is that I want to wear heels and I thought it wouldn't be great for dancing. Question about your flowers...........did you send them inspiration pictures ahead of time? Or did you just pick from pictures the wedding coordinator sent you? Did you get your hair down at the salon? Thanks again for all your help!

Bride2012......Thanks for your encouraging words to all of us, it's nice to hear from people who have already been through the complete 60 days of insanity! Oh and I saw your post-insanity pictures and you look AMAZING, I can only hope I look half as good as you! Keep us posted in how Asylum is going. I'm debating on doing a couple of rounds of insanity or looking for something else to do in the new year as my wedding is over 6 months away. But as I still have 40 days of insanity left I guess I have plenty of time to figure it out

Hey Ladies! What a great thread to help keep us all motivated! I am 6 1/2 months away from my wedding and I actually got the motivation to start my weight loss and toning journey now from other ladies on this website, so thank you for that. I am 3 three weeks into INSANITY and I absolutely love it, and I am already noticing results! For anyone who might be considering insanity, I would highly recommend it. Before insanity I was regularly attending kickboxing classes at my local gym, and it is the best workout I have ever done in my life. The only downfall with kickboxing is the price, which is why I decided to try insanity. Anyways, I just wanted to wish everyone goodluck!

Hey Ladies, I just started week 3 of INSANITY and I love it!!! I haven't had a problem with motivation yet as the first month is flying by, but I'm already dreading month two as the workouts sound so much harder! Does anyone hate the cardio power and resistance dvd!? My legs are weak and I totally can't handle all that jumping! Anyways I think this is a great thread and hopefully we can all keep each other motivated

Alison - Maybe they changed their policy regarding external photographers, that would be great news if we just have to get a day pass for them! I have emailed my coordinator to ask her about this. I have also asked Sandra if she can send me some pictures of different options for reception locations around the resort. However, I definitely don't want to have mine on the beach, so I'm hoping to have it poolside or possibly rent out one of the restaurants. Bianca - Congrats on your May wedding!!!! I definitely have some questions for you Where did you have your reception? I find it's hard to decide theses things without having ever been to the resort. My wedding is next May, so I was wondering what the weather was like when you were there? Did it rain much? Well that's it for now, but I'm sure I'll think of more! Allie

I did when I first joined and I learned so much about the resort and about the planning process at DPA. So exciting that your wedding is in February, mine's not until May and I can't wait! Have you made decisions yet regarding where you are having your reception? Who is your wedding coordinator? I have Sandra Sanchez. Hey Ladies, wow what a great thread, I just spent an hour looking through it! I was also thinking about using table laterns, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with the hassel of packing them in my luggage! Below is a picture of my inspiration (although I would paint them white). These candle holders also come with LED candles, which is a must because our reception is going to be outdoors in Mexico which can be very windy! MrsRobinson12 I also just booked Lincoln from Moments that Matter Photography! He has been super quick to answer any of my questions, and I love the artistic shots he takes! I have a question for anyone that might know! With the ultimate package it says that gazebo decorations are included, does that include the white tulle that is draped from the posts? Or just the chair covers?

Hey Ladies, wow what a great thread, I've just spent the past 2 hours looking at everyone's dresses! Here's a couple of pics of mine, I found it a month ago and I can't wait for it to come in! The colour of the one in the picture is "gold" (yuck!) so I ordered white without even seeing it. I am a bit nervous about that, but they assured me that it would look good in white. The belt comes with the dress but I'm not sure if I'm going to wear it, any opinions?

I'm so excited and busy making my DIY invitations and co-ordinationg travel arrangements 604bride2b - Thanks for your response to my original posting..........I found some of your info very helpful. When you said that you booked your reception "poolside" is that by the adults only pool? How many ppl are attenting your wedding, do you know how many they can accomondate for a dinner reception poolside? I totally agree with you about having the recption outdoors, but not necessary on the beach. I'm hoping I might be able to book Oceana Grill since I will be there in low season, but I'm not really sure how big the area is. Aistule - Congrats, can't wait to read your review when you get back! Sunsetselene - Another May bride, isn't the wait killing you?! I wish my wedding was soon! I too have Sandra Sanchez. She seems really nice and very helpful, but honestly I haven't had much communication with her as my wedding is still really far off. Have you read through this forum? Because there's some great info regarding the questions you are asking. Another girl sai she used the ballroom and loved it. Hi everyone! Brand new to the forum and after much debate just decided to book my destination wedding at DPA! I have just sent in my date request form. I'm hoping to get a date in May 2012. I have listed my 1st 3 choices and my desired time for the ceremony is at 5 pm. I was wondering how far in advance everyone else booked? Since May is 10 months away, do you think I will get a date and time that I want!? Also, how long does it take the resort to confirm your date? I am considering having my reception at El Patio, but I have a couple of reservations about this................I understand that there is no A/C, but are there windows open to the outside to allow airflow? Also, can they accomondate 50 ppl, and will they clear the tables away after dinner to allow dancing? These definitely might be questions for the wedding planner to answer, but I thought it may be worth a try to find some answers on here first! This forum is a great resource as I have already browsed it and found answers to some of my questions! Really awesome that there are so many pre/post wedding brides that are willing to help out complete strangers!
