Well I cleaned out 2 Canadian Tires and got 24 20 oz bubba kegs. We have 38 confirmed guests and are expecting 6-8 more, which gives me enough time hopefully to get the remaining ones! Sounds like they go on sale every 2-3 months, fingers crossed

Hey Holls213, congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forums! I agree with what JayKay said. You and your fiancé should sit down and make a list of the things that you really want at a resort and what "extras" you may want for your wedding. I am getting married at Dreams Puerto Aventuras, which I picked because I love their wedding gazebo, and their wedding packages have everything that I am looking for. I don't want to stress you out, but you should decided soon and try and secure a date because I booked my wedding in June for May 2012 and it was hard finding an available date!!!

Hey ladies, I came across travel manicure/pedicure sets at the Dollar Giant yesterday for only $1! Do you think that this is something that people might use if included in the OOT bag?

Hey ladies, I was out and about yesterday and came across a Dollar Giant (never been to one before), and they had manicure/pedicure sets for only $1! The set includes nail clippers, emery board, toe separators, cuticle shaper, and a nail brush, and the sets come in bright tropical colours. I didn't purchase these as I already have so many things on my OOT bag list, but now I'm kind of regretting not getting them. Do you think they would make a good OOT bag item? Or just another thing people probably won't use?

So I went to Canadian Tire and was disappointed that the only size I'm looking for is not on sale!!! I want the 20oz ones with the narrow bases, like the ones that will fit in a car holder. They had the 20 oz wide ones and all the other sizes on sale, and when I asked why the 20 oz normal ones weren't on sale they said they didn't know why. Anyone else find them on sale at their Canadian Tire!?

So I ended up emailing the E-concierge at DPA just asking if I was for sure booked for my wedding day as I have not heard anything from Sandra after numerous emails. That was about 5 days ago...........AND yesterday I received an email from Jacki Muir saying that she is now going to be my wedding coordinator, and that she would be happy to answer any questions I might have!!!! So I have no idea why this happened, but I'm not going to complain as you ladies who have Jacki have been saying great things about her! Mrs. Robinson - I saw on the DPA facebook page just yesterday that another bride was complaining that Sandra would not return her emails, so I don't know what's going on with her. Maybe email the e-concierge like I did and ask? You can find her email adress on the fb page.

Yes definitely let us know if you find any good deals at the Dollar Tree! I live about an hour and a half from the Newmarket, ON one and I want to know if there is anything worthwhile there before I make the trip. I am specifically looking for the travel sized tubes of advil/tylenol, or I heard in the states they have individual pepto bismol packs............

Thanks again for some reassurance. Maybe Sandra is just really bad with communication via email, but I have heard great things about dealing with her in person! Yes, I did receive confirmation from Sandra back in June, and that's the last I have heard from her! So that's why I was thinking maybe they lost my information or something. So I think I will try and contact Hagen Sommer just to make sure I'm still booked in for May 18! I'll keep you posted

It sounds like you have everything well planned out I guess I have just been getting frustrated because I have sent Sandra 3 emails over the past 2 months and have not received any response. I have been trying to ask her about the change in policy re: hiring an external photographer as other brides have said that their WC told them that all they need is a day pass now. I'm starting to think that maybe they lost my information and confirmation of date or something! We are getting married at 5pm, but I think it gets dark later in the day in May? I'll have to check that out to be sure though, because my photographer did say to allow for at least 2 hours of light to take pictures. We will have 4 kids attending our wedding, so it's too bad that we won't be able to have our reception at the adults only pool terrace Did Sandra happen to send you any pictures of different locations/set-ups around the resort? Hey JandG - wow I feel so bad for your BM, that must be so stressful for her but I am glad that you guys have managed to figure everything out! Torilynn - I use crest white strips all the time. My teeth are a little sensitive, but my gums are SUPER sensitive. So when I put them on I just make sure that they are not too high up on the gums, and I have no issues with them. They honestly work so well, so I would highly recommend them I am in Collingwood so the closest People's is in Barrie and we are actually going to check out wedding rings tonight! I can't wait to see what they have because until now I have never even thought about what I may do for a ring(s). My e-ring was custom made in London, ON but we don't plan to go that route for the wedding ring, so hopefully I can find something that kind of matches!

Hey don't worry about missing a day if your body is telling you it needs a break, you will still get amazing results, glad you are liking though! Bride2012 - are you almost done Asylum? You totally have to post a results pic when you're done! I think I am just going to go back to the gym when I'm down insanity. I usually do cardio for about 45 minutes on TM and elliptical, and do weights mostly for my upper body as my legs get pretty toned just with running. I also do kick boxing which I LOVE, but it is an additional cost onto of the gym membership, so it can get expensive! I think the reason I'm getting better results with insanity is that I do it 6 days a week, whereas I used to only go to the gym about 3-4 days per week. So when I do go back to the gym my goal is 5-6 times per week until my wedding in May, hopefully I can stick with it! Um SxcT, all I have to say is that you look AMAZING!!!!! Your stomach is sooooooo flat, that is my goal but I have a long way to go! Oh and your husband looks pretty good too

Haha Laurelyn, I just read your post about being with your FI for 6.5 years and deserving 2 rings! I have been with mine for over 10 years and feel the same way, however, I have not ran the idea of getting 2 rings by him yet.............. OMG Kat, can't believe you are leaving in 7 days, that's so exciting!!!!! At least you have some time to "practice packing", although I'm sure it's hard to figure out what to leave behind

MJKH I love your ring, it turned out so well, just like your inspiration ring! I totally know what you mean about working in health care and not wanting a big ring. My FI bought me a beautiful brilliant cut solitaire in a cathedral setting, but I can't wear it to work! So I have only wore it about 10 times since we got engaged in May, and this really upsets him I'm planning on getting an eternity band and wearing that to work, but honestly that thought of the bacteria from a hospital that we can carry on our rings freaks me out!

Thank-you so much for your response Jamie, you made me realize that I should be more excited about the people that have booked and not focus on those who haven't! I guess I had a hard time accepting this as well. There are certain people (ppl I've been friends with for 15 years) that I thought for sure would come, but are on the fence. But at least May is still months away, so your guests are bound to start reserving soon! The only reason we have so many booked is because they had to book by October 2011, in order to ensure the group rate.

Hey Lindsay - Congrats on confirming your date! Didn't you go down for a site visit/vacation to DPA recently, how was it!? Welcome to the thread Julie! When I booked at DPA I honestly read through this entire thread and found the answers to sooooo many questions! Other brides who have/had Jacki seem to really like her. My WC (Sandra) on the other hand never answers my emails which can be frustrating, but I'm trying not to be a bridezilla about it

No I don't know anything about the fill in molds, can these be bought at the drugstore, or do you have to purchase them at the dentist's office? I'm curious about the price and to hear if any other bride/future bride has tried them!
