  1. Jenn - the real touch are more like a vinyl vs. the silk/fabric flowers. they are totally fake!! these aren't the freeze dried ones - those you can't bring in from what I understand. The calla lillies and orchids are the real touch flowers my stuff. I should also add that the orchids are major sentimental for me - my maternal grandparents raised orchids, and so for every holiday and special occassion growing up, we had orchid headbands and corsages. my sister had orchids from my grandparents' greenhouses on her cake and centerpieces when she got married, my mom had them in hers too. As a tribute to my grandparents, I needed to incorporate the orchids into my bouquet. There are also orchids in small touches throughout our stationary as well. thanks for the supportive feedback ladies!! I appreciate it so much.

  4. to/from which airports?? I used miles for my flight, and then we bought my FI's ticket. it let us fly 1st class for about $100 more than two coach tickets. so we got lucky in that aspect (or rather, all of my traveling for work paid off...!) Airfare is definitely higher than it was last year (and the year before that...). do you use kayak or airfare watchdog to keep an eye on flight prices? they will send you an email when your routes are on sale.
  5. thanks y'all!! I'm doing silk & real touch flowers, made by Kate Said Yes My bouquet: the corsages for my mom, his mom, and his sister (hers is a wrist corsage, hence the sparkle band) and our bouts for my dad, my brother, his dad and step dad My FI's bout is the opposite - white calla lilly and orange orchid. In the random category, I made the banners for these straws, which will be passed out with the drinks at our dinner/reception. They have a variety of sayings: Margarita Time, Party Time, Hooray!, Uno Mas, Fiesta! and such. I have these with the orange straws, and also have blue with the orange banners. On that note, I need to get back into my craft room and start working again!
  6. Last post of the night - our favors. I ordered these from The Wedding Department , and just love them!! They did take a LONG time to be completed, but the couple who makes them are decent at communicating. I ordered them in early June, and received them in mid-August. I chose the ribbon color, and they included the box. What isn't pictured is the small vial of fragrance oil they included. I added the starfish (ordered from ebay, 120 for $7!) with an easy jump ring. I did the tag myself, and of course the twine. I got wind chimes for our parents, shell & starfish shapes, and the top disc has our names & date on it like the back of the ornament. They are really gorgeous!!!
