Wedding was awesome! It was a dream wedding and a fun party too. my veil was a cathedral length, no weights. We didn't pin it in bc I was only going to wear it for our first look, and then pics after the ceremony. But my friends (and then the on site wc) kept shoving it back in my hair lol I finally ticked it under my arm and it stayed just fine.

We did something similar. Had no problems with any of our stuff coming into Mexico.

I will say that tucanes was hot. Very little breeze came through and I was melting. I loved how private it was, that's the positive.

I am not sure which one is the white gazebo, but I like the presidential one. Also like the ditalias casita gazebo. Go with a beach reception. Health bar is a nice setting, but not private. Check out murmel's photos. She has pics of all of those areas.

I'm married!! It was a dream wedding. We are honeymooning through Saturday, so a few more days in paradise. Thank goodness for wifi lol I can't post pics from my iPad easily here, but I will share some when we get home!

Thank you all for the good wishes. It was my dream wedding! Everything was amazing, set up was beautiful, food was out of this world, and we danced all night. And my husband got all choked up saying his vows. Just perfect wedding day. We are enjoying the resort for a few more days, and I will share pics when I figure out how to do it from my iPad.

No, they usually capture the big moments, cake, dances, garter, bouquet toss. So you have to plan when those happen and coordinate with how long you have the photog.

The verdict is in. Veil was awesome for photos, but it was a pain for the ceremony. Fell out 3 times and our wc kept putting it back. I finally tucked it under my arm and took it off as soon as the ceremony was done.

Chiquita, yes, just bring the set up with you and a list of what you have and how/ what to do with it. Wendy I looked for you too! We stayed close to our casita the first few days. I will add a more detailed review later, but the wedding was perfect! Martha was fantastic and on her A game. Dj all music was a blast, and we danced the entire time. Food was delicious. Set up was beautiful and just what I wanted. I will have to wait to share pics until we get home, as its hard to do on the iPad. If I had one piece of advice, it's to not worry or stress. They are pros here, and I'm so happy with how it all turned out!

We rode all over the resort this morning. The other gazebo I like is presidential or Fuentes, but I'm not sure which one it was. The next one north of 55. The wedding coordinators have been great. Our group dinner at cocotal was fabulous last night! The food was amazing, the kept the wine flowing, and brought tequila shots for the crazies. Hairstyle rehearsal with mirabel was great too. She did exactly what I wanted, and then fixed it before I went to dinner in a different style. IMO, it's absolutely worth it for the casitas. The villa rooms I've seen are much smaller. I can't tell you how much we love the resort. It is perfect. FYI, there were 5 weddings yesterday. If you have any flexibility, I'd suggest not picking a Saturday. There is only 1 today, 1 Friday and 1 tomorrow (mine!) If I can answer any questions, please let me know. Thankfully we have another week here!

Weather is perfect. We are here At edr now. High about 80, 70s at night and breezy. Not too hot not cold either. Sunny days, just beautiful!

Oh, oops. Lol they hung it behind the last row of first class seats. So it was a little smashed, but nothing they won't steam out here. They also offered their closet in the front, but we were on an old plane and it was tiny. Our flight attendants were as accommodating as they could be with limited space available. That said, I'm glad I was the first bride on board (first class) and not the 5th.

I love the purple! It will be gorgeous.

Shannon, I have the dress in my closet. I'm not sure what we will do with it after they steam. I guess clear out the closet and spread it out, then forbid him from going near it lol We don't know which other guests will be in casitas to have the dress delivered to, so ill take it back. Gazebo 55 is still my choice. Chapel terrace is right off the main walkway, and rooms are close by. Plus guacamayas bar, and Jojos is close. So less private IMO. Temp is 80ish during the day, 70s and breezy at night.

We flew American. I think we booked about 9 months out. We have a TA who helped us tremendously! About the set up, they are doing everything for the $150. So don't sweat it before you get on site ladies. If anyone has questions about the resort, let me know!

Thank you! So far we know 3 aren't going to make it because their Flights were cancelled and not rescheduled until sunday. 6 have said they will make it, and the last 4 are unknown. Ahhh Mother Nature ! Resort is beyond gorgeous, staff is amazing! Beautiful weather too. I'm so happy ( so far) that we chose edr. We had 5 brides on our flight yesterday. Flight attendants were awesome with the dresses. No issues with our 5 bags of luggage with customs either. Green lights for both of us and we were through.

we are out of here tomorrow!! Unfortunately 13 of our guests live in NYC, and have been affected by Sandy. they are all safe and sound, but have no electricity or water. We don't know who will make it, and who won't. What can you do? We'll hope for the best!

well ladies, it's my turn. we leave in the morning! two of my guests aren't going to make it due to a medical emergency. 13 of our guests live in the areas of NYC that have no power or water. Most of them appear to be safe and sound otherwise. We have no idea if they will go ahead and come to Mexico or not. the airports are scheduled to open tomorrow, and most of them are on Flights Friday/Saturday. I guess we'll see who shows up! luckily, they were open to giving us a refund on the meals if the NY guests don't make it. but we're crossing our fingers. just a wee bit of last minute stress. thanks Sandy!

we've heard they've really cracked down on friends/family doing any set up. But if they try to charge me above and beyond the $150 for the lanterns, I will have my friends do this...I'm paying EDR enough money!

WOW!!! It's absolutely stunning! I think many of us end up with something we never expected to like. congrats on saying yes to the dress!!!
