Hi all! There are just SO many gorgeous rings on here, I can't believe it!!! I'm just gushing on the couch oooohing and ahhhhing over everyone's bling. Just got engaged about 2 weeks ago and we are in the very early stages of planning our April 2012 wedding to Puerto Vallarta! Below is my ring- I can't decide on getting the band that matches it and will fit to it, OR just a straight bead set that fits up against it.... Any advice?? Thanks ladies!!! Lisa

Howdy everyone! I am a newbie to the site and I must say, I LOVE all of the information that has been shared about everything PV and LC! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to contribute, you have no idea how tremendously helpful you have been!! My mom and I went on vacation in PV a while back and actually went to LC, and I'm wondering if anyone else has a concern about all the stairs? It seemed to have a lot and I'm just concerned about our elderly guests, as there are no ramps and no easy way to get around the stairs. (I've posted a picture of all the stairs I think they'll have to walk down to get from the boat to the ceremony, it just looks a little intense both in the picture and in person.) Kelley has been wonderful as far as reassurance goes and has mentioned that it has been a concern in the past with some of her brides, but that they have been lucky to not have many accidents or issues. However, I'm just a worrier and I just have this vision of my grandmother falling down the stairs down to the beach and breaking a hip... worst case scenario, right?!?! Any advice is appreciated! We already can't wait and I really, REALLY want the LC site to work out! Lisa

Hi all! Just wanted to introduce myself- my name is Lisa and my FI and I are getting married in PV next year- crossing my fingers for April @ Las Caletas. We are currently looking into both Dreams resorts down in PV/NV for our guests to stay at. Woo hoo!!! Just wanted to say hello. Thank you both for the advice and tips- Maratoca Beach Garden looks BEAUTIFUL, and I'll make sure to check it (and Oscar's) out on my trip! xoamdxo, you said that you've been down to visit... quick question about that. I emailed the wedding coordinator using the address from the Dreams PV website to see if I could schedule a site tour. She just emailed me back, but it was in spanish. I can read it for the most part (trying to channel those HS spanish classes) but I'm just wondering, how did you set up your visit? The option that you talked about sounds GREAT, I'm hoping it works out. Thanks again to both of you for the advice!

Thanks for the bump margin123, Dreams VM is at the top of my list for both accommodations and the ceremony/reception, and I just don't feel like there is enough information on it!!! Do you have any pictures that you can share, or a final review of the place? I can't find anything recent, all of the reviews that I've seen date back to when the resort first opened and I'm wondering if some things have changed in the last couple of years... Anyway, thanks!!!

Hi everyone!! I'm a brandie-newbie to this site and LOVE it so far, but I'm trying to find locations for a garden wedding and simply haven't narrowed it down to "the one" yet. Would really appreciate any advice I can get!!! So the wedding is slated for the first weekend of June 2012, and I have a couple of concerns: 1.) I don't really want to do this thing on the sand. (I know, I know....I'm nuts) If we do it on the beach, we definitely want to rent a tent, which I assume will be expensive. But this still just isn't the way that we really want to go. 2.) I really, really want the actual ceremony to have a garden-esque feeling, feet on the grass, hopefully some shade for the bridal party and guests. It's just going to be so hot in June, and I'm from Texas so I totally get the heat and humidity. Not a fan. Since FI can't get off work anytime soon, my mom and I are heading down to good ol' PV/NV for a few days at the end of July to scout out some places. So far, at the top of my list are: Dreams VillaMagna, Dreams PV, and Las Caletas (don't know if a garden thing at LC is possible??). Budget is relatively limited, so a private villa is pretty much out the window (I think.) I absolutely DREAD the thought of having to use an outside wedding coordinator / planner, that is why Dreams and Las Caletas both appeal to me, kind of all-part-of-the-package places. Anyway! We have 4 days there and I'm just wondering, does anyone have experience with having a wedding that was kind of garden-ish? Something not on the sand? And if so, do you have any recommendations of places / AI resorts that I haven't thought of yet? ANYYYY advice would be so helpful. I'm 1000% overwhelmed right now. It gets better right??? Hi all! Brand new to the site and I LOVE IT. As the wedding planning begins (still waiting to get the official go-ahead but can't help myself ) I'm loving all of the useful info and I'm dying to dig my claws in. Anyway! I have tried searching for the answer to this question to no avail so I'm sorry if this is a re-post: If I am trying to send a PM to someone, I get a message back after I click submit that says, "You have sent your daily allotment of 2 messages." But I haven't sent any messages today! I'm so sad. Is there a reason for this? Is it because I'm so new and not an active member on the site yet? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
