I thought the same regarding the $1000 US fee for the photographer. The planning is going good, not a whole lot to do when your doing a destination wedding which is great! I've been going through photos that the resort photographer have posted on facebook looking a flower arrangement to see if I can see anything that interests me.......and to be honest the flowers are fantastic! I don't think that there is anything that you can't get. I've sent a message to the onsite photographer as well looking for information regarding video packages and haven't heard anything. Are you doing a video? If so, do you have any information from the resort regarding that? Also, I'm still waiting for my travel agent to get name of a wedding planner at the resort so I can start that process and speak with someone. Have you gotten that far yet? Dani

I have done a little research for the photographer on site and I was pleased with the photos! I was considering looking for an off site photographer, until I realized that there was an addition $1000 US to bring one onsite....they call it a copyright fee. That is just crazy! Our trips will more then likely overlap...we'll have to have a look out for each others groups! Danid

Hi the date that we are hoping for is April 19, 2012. What reviews have you heard regarding the resort? I'm doing some research regarding photography and videography for the resort. Any input that you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Danielle

OMG....fantastic review!!!! My fiance and I are planning our wedding at the Melia for April 2012. I'm a total perfectionist like to be really, really organized so I've been trying to find out as much as I can as soon as I can. My biggest concern is photo's and video. I have taken not of the photographer that you mentioned, however, the rules for the resort are that you have to pay 1000 - US for a photographer off site. Was your photographer off site? or one provided with your wedding package? If not, do you have any insight regarding the onsite photographers? I would appreciate any information that you could provide to me that would be good while corresponding with the wedding planner. Hi I'm just going through reviews for Melia wedding packages and come across your post. My fiance and I and I are planning a April 2012 wedding at the resort. I'm looking for any information regarding photographer and videographers on site. As well I noticed that you gave a link for facebook that could provide photos I've tried that link and can't find it do you know if it still exists?
