    Oooo! I love the pashmina idea! I may have to do that as well! I'm also going to do a white flower in my hair for sure! Can't wait to start planning more!!

    We are still at the very beginning of our planning, but so far, we have been thinking about white tables with a thin black runner and then white seashells and sand dollars and candles on top. My bouquet is going to be mostly white with a few purple orchids mixed. Other than that, I haven't officially decided on anything, other than knowing I'll be doing black and white. What about you?

    Wow, I have never seen these before! They are so cool! These just became a must-have for our wedding!

    What a wonderful idea! I've always liked the photo booth idea for at home weddings and didn't think it was doable with our destination wedding, but now we may just have to do this!

    We are probably going to do ziplining and have people pay for themselves if they want to go. But since some of our guests won't be physically able to do the ziplining, we are going to do a 2nd excursion of some type of sunset cruise or something. I'm so excited about the excursions, those are usually some of my favorite things to do on vacations!

    I think we are doing at least a welcome cocktail hour. We want to spend as much time with our guests as possible, and I think this is a nice way to start the festivities! Then, we are thinking of doing some type of welcome excursion the first full day that people are there.

    I was wondering what to do about that as well. Good suggestion to connect them to each other through email. I know most of our friends will get along with each other and I'm sure they'll appreciate saving the $

    Its a long story but although most couples have a song, or something....we have a number. 17. It started out as something silly and then we see the number everywhere together, it shows up on receipts, we'll be number 17 in lines, etc. etc. So, we didn't really care what month we got married as long as the date was the 17th!

    I get mine cleaned at the jeweler we got it from every once in a while, and am definitely planning on doing that right before we leave for the trip. They also sell this little ring-cleaning stick there, that looks absolutely perfect for travel! It's about $7 and the size of a mascara so I'm going to bring it to the wedding with me and touch up my ring throughout the trip to keep it nice and sparkly. Its got this cleaner in it that you just brush on your ring, rinse off, and you're done!

    My fiance and I feel the same. We do not want anyone to get us gifts since they are paying enough to get to the wedding. However, people keep telling me that our guests are going to get me things even if I tell them not to. So, if we don't register or make it clear that we would prefer cash, then we may end up with 10 toasters that we really don't need! I'm not sure what to do about it either, I really wish people would just NOT get us anything!

    Wow, you are absolutely stunning in that dress! Congrats, looks like it was a beautiful wedding. I'm going to go read your resort review now, I'm still trying to decided and your resort is in my top 5 list!

    At first I didn't want one either because I really do NOT want anyone to buy us gifts, especially if they are paying to come to our wedding! But my mother is throwing me one anyway and most of the people she is inviting will be my extended family who will not make it to the DW. So, I guess this way they get to be involved in the wedding even though they can't fly to Jamaica. It is very sweet of them, and people tell me they would be offended if I didn't let them get me some gifts, but I feel a bit guilty accepting presents when I won't be providing them the opportunity to celebrate at the actual wedding.
