I spoke with Beatriz on Friday and we are still like 100 days out from our wedding. We really didn't get anything nailed down except for our next planning session on April 2. If you haven't already spoken with your coordinator you'll need to know your confirmation number for your reservation and you'll need to know how many guests you are expecting and number of rooms nights that you have, until then they won't reserve any events for you. Hence the reason we went ahead and scheduled another planning call. Also if you didn't know you and your FI rooms count towards your free events she did confirm that for me. Now I was told by Lily back in the fall that we had the Bugambilias Gazebo confirmed but Beatriz said she wasn't sure of that. *lakjdlkfjlskdjfa;djkfl;adjf* Wasn't happy to hear that at all!!! As far as our TA issues go my FI called and complained to our TA's assistant and then I sent our TA an email expressing our disappointment in the lack of communication with our guests. She gave me the response of not having any messages from any of our guests. She did ask that I send their phone numbers and she would call them so I'm waiting to hear from them on whether or not she did. As of Friday we had 41 room nights reserved, so we are slowly edging closer. Half of our wedding party hasn't book yet and we still have a few that have said they are going but we need to confirm with them. So it looks like we might be closer to the 60 nights than the 75 but I'll be happy with that. Our AHR is going to be the big blowout so it's all good to me. SFedEsq - Congrats and Welcome!! ladydi - Girl you have no idea about the AHR and all the troubles that I have had with my future MIL. We shall not even go there because there will be a lot of nasty words coming out of my mouth!! Now as for Mexico bring it on bc I'm so ready to just lounge by the pool and get my drink on!!! Lee - FI's looking might fine in his threads!!

Love it!!! Looks like you guys had a really great time!! Congrats again! You looked BEAUTIFUL!! -
Yes it might not hurt for you to see if you can speak with Beatriz. She's really been great!! I have been very fortunate to have Janina, Lily and Beatriz. I was a little worried when Lily left without a single word but Janina assigned Beatriz and she usually responds in less than 24 hours. But I'm not the type of person to email or call constantly either. I usually email her about once a month (if that) with a list of questions. I have the wedding location but that's it we will discuss cocktail hour on Friday. Not sure about reception just yet if we don't get the unlimited events then we will just have the dinner and go to the bar afterwards. My future MIL is planning a huge AHR a few weeks after we get back so we can have the "reception" part then. It's really not a big deal to me. For me the big deal is the exchange of the vows in Texas before we leave. My FI and I are going to get married here the weekend before we leave. It's going to just be the 2 of us, our kids and a family friend who will actually marry us. Not sure if any of you are familiar with Texas A&M University but they have a huge live oak tree on campus they call the "Century Tree". According to an old Aggie legend, if two lovers pass beneath the tree's large, vine-like branches, they are destined to be wed. Similarly, if a couple becomes engaged under the Century's picturesque leaves, the marriage will last forever. My FI is an Aggie so when I proposed this option versus a church he was stoked! I didn't want a huge wedding with a ton of people hence the reason we are planning Mexico, I would have been happy going to the JP but he's somewhat of a romantic and wanted some kind of a ceremony to appease his parents. So the intimate ceremony here is for me and the Mexico wedding is for him. Here's a picture of the tree itself. I think it will be perfect for when we say "I do".

Sounds like this Ivis isn't doing her job very well. I think I would refer to Coco's post and contact the Wedding Coordinator Supervisor and see where that gets you. I have Beatriz and she's "Johnny on the spot" I will be speaking with her on Friday afternoon about our stuff and we aren't quite 90 days out yet. Congrats and Welcome to the new ladies on the forum!!! I hope that planning goes smoothly for you all with all the stuff on here. I'm starting to get a little pissy with our TA from Vacations4Less. I have had several guest trying to get a hold of her to book their rooms and ask questions and she's not responding......for over a month which I totally don't get because she's been in the office and responding to my requests all this time. The FI is calling her today to bitch her out. Heifer! And lastly as if planning a wedding and building a house isn't stressful enough we are listing our other house to sell this week. Kill me now!! Hope everyone's week is going good!! Weekend is nearly here and it will be full of DIYing and shopping for the OOT bags. Happy planning ladies!!

Speckles - love the flowers!! They are going to be GORGEOUS! AppKate - Great color choice!! Mine is turquoise with splashes of pinks, orange, and white. Krystabab - your engagement photos are AWESOME!! Love the travel theme. We are having ours done in April down by the river. Can't wait for those. Setstar congrats & welcome!! I hope this site continues to help you out. Update: I have a phone appointment set with Beatriz to start making final plans for our wedding date. She confirmed for February 24 in the afternoon. Yay!!! As of today we are 116 days away. Seems like I still have a ton of stuff to do though! Slowly but surely the OOT bags are coming together. I got the card key holders and first aid kits in the mail and have stickers on the f/a kits. Just waiting on luggage tags and loops. Making a trip to the Dollar Store this week to see what other kinds of goodies I can get for them. Then placing another Vistaprint order later this week for the Groupon deals I got last week. New specials were posted yesterday for those looking for certain items. Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day!! Wedding planning is put on hold for tonight's date!

My Real Touch Flowers!!!
mrsjdh2b replied to jenna326's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Those are gorgeous!! How much did she charge you for the bouquets if you don't mind me asking? -
$250!!!! That's nuts!! I guess they are trying to get everything so people can't really bring their own stuff in or bring outsiders in. I think that's pretty steep just to put out some napkins! Unfortunately I think this kind of stuff will end up hurting them in the end because brides are not going to pay for that crazy stuff.

Happy Friday ladies!!! I wasn't able to get pics posted of my vistaprint yesterday....Little man was feeling much better and driving momma crazy. Hopefully will get to it tonight. Little tidbit if you are looking to print at Vistaprint there is a coupon on Groupon Corpus Christi for $70 worth of stuff for $17. I bought two today at lunch and will probably end up getting t-shirts or my OOT bags whichever comes out the best. I know I have told you ladies about being in the process of building our home. Here's a snapshot from this morning. My FI and future FIL are building it and they slapped the last coat of paint on this morning. By Monday we will have a roof on finally, then the rock starts going on. I'll be so glad when this is all done!! I'm ready to start on the inside and that's my part! Have a great weekend everyone!! Happy planning and DIYing!!

Thanks ladies!! I'm so glad to have that checked off the list. Coco - I asked my coordinator something similar to that yesterday. She said that you can stick with the original package that you had when you signed your contract. I was asking in reference to the dinner reservations because the 2011 packages are for 35 people and the new packages are for 30. I asked about going with the new complimentary package but keeping the 35 people and she said no. So of course we will be sticking to make sure we have enough room for everyone at dinner. I would think the same would apply to your question but we all know how they are you might ask to be certain. ndvidul - So happy for you!!! Good luck on packing and take a few moments to relax and not stress to much. Can't wait to hear how it all goes and see the pictures!! For those of you still looking for clear luggage tags we bought some today.....100 for $18 and the loops for $14. The website is www.clearbags.com. They aren't the rigid ones but they were CHEAP and that works for me. Couple of items down for the OOT bags. Received my order from Vistaprint which was the luggage tags (free), reminder postcards ($11) to send out later this month for those we haven't received RSVPs for, and stickers for the first aid kits. I'll see if I post a picture tomorrow. Depends on how my little boy is feeling, he's been running fever and sore throat all day, if he's out of school again tomorrow I'll be back on wedding planning. Next item is designing programs and welcome booklet for the bags. Still searching for the bags themselves but not stressing yet. Spring break is near and I'll have a few days to hunt for the right one. Have a great night!! Happy planning!

For those of you looking for something unique to add to your OOT bags...........I stumbled across this website today while looking for wrist coils for my key card holders. http://www.wristbandswithamessage.com/cart/index.php?ref=160?src&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=wristbands%20with%20a%20message&utm_campaign=wristband%20search&utm_ad_group_id=209&utm_campaign_id=111&utm_ad_id=393&gclid=CLT65rLojK4CFWnatgod3RBPeg They are the plastic bracelets that are all the rave right now. They can make personalized key chains. When I inquired about pricing the guy told me that you could just get the number of bracelets that you want bc there is no minimum and then told me to get the metal clips and key rings at the craft store such as Hobby Lobby, whereas if you order the actual key chains the minimum is 100. You can get them printed front and back and there are a ton of colors to choose from. Plus they can ship them to you in 7 days in the US. The price for the one I was looking at was $1.39 per bracelet.

Good Morning Ladies.......wet, dreary and tornado-y morning here in Texas. Quick questions for those of you that have Lizzie as your coordinator......has she left or moved on to another Palace Resort? I emailed her over a week ago and haven't heard anything from her and the email bounced back with a message saying for a few other hotel weddings to contact her at a different email address. I went ahead and emailed her there but still nothing. Just wondering if anyone knew where she was and if I needed to seek someone else to speak with. I know they normally work on their own time but this is the longest I haven't had a response. Thanks!!
