OMG ladies... Everything is all over and done with. I have my best friend to stand bedside me for the rest of my life and that is more than I could ask for.... And sometimes deserve! My wedding was a little hectic, horrible weather the night before, but 30 minutes before i walked down the aisle the sun came out! Craziness taking photos, but there reception I party party PARTIED, we had a blast on our private boat. BEST DECISION MADE! There crew was hilarious and very interactive.... It was absolutely wonderful! I will finish and rave about my photos and my TTD on my planning thread: sad its all over

i was just married at the Elegance yesterday, it was a nice calm wedding, but the best decision I made was having my reception at La Barcaza! It was amazing! If I could have only paid for 2 more hours..it was sooooo much fun! Don't worry future brides! My guests loved it here, very relaxing. A few HATED...not disliked...HATED all the food here except for the steak restaurant....just to forewarn you. I felt the same....but its a all inclusive resort...I made due The cowboy ribeye at the steakhouse is the BEST! I highly recommend it!

Hubby and I overslept by like 40 minutes, would have still made it on time... But we got held up by a police escort on the freeway going 20 miles an hour in the freeway... Then we missed the flight by 10 minutes ...soooooo close! We are on the plane now... Waiting to take of to Miami, from Miami to Puerto rico, Puerto Rico to punta cana!

What destination wedding would be right without any drama?? So we missed our flight..womp womp. After an emotional breakdown, and American Airlines telling my hubby there was nothing they could do and we wouldnt be able to fly out until tomorrow....I lost it. Luckily when he was at the ticket counter the agent took care of us, changed our itinerary so we will be there by 615pm, just a few hours later than our original arrival!!!! Whew...because this bride was in TEARS! I know, i know...whats one more day...but to me it seemed like the end of the world! LOL!

We leave tomorrow, but for our guests our rates were $150 a night with airport transfers. My family is flying out from SFO and their flights were $500. So $597 for the hotel and $500 (appx) for the flight.

Awwww! I have been waiting you and Tori's updates on your wedding! Congratulations MNtoMX!!! I am so delighted you enjoyed your time, we leave for ME at 7am in the morning tomorrow!!!! Any helpful tips about the resort? And most importantly...PICTURES!!! I cant wait to see them!!!

Yes, air Tran charges for EVERYTHING, thats why we chose American airlines, plus they offered our whole wedding group a discount.

Yeah, but for us we only pay $30 for one extra checked bag (which isnt bad considering), he and I get one checked bag free, the one we are paying for is filled with our OOT bag items.

While I was packing these were my thoughts: I need an outfit to greet everyone when the bulk of the group arrives, I need a dress for our welcome dinner I need a dress for the rehearsal dinner I need a comfy pair of clothes for sports centered activities (we're very active and competitive, so we planned on doing a day of volleyball, tennis, water volleyball and the like) I need something to wear in case we go on any excursions I need something cute to wear in case my family wants to go to the resort club Something to wear to the casino etc, etc, etc I clearly OVERthought my packing! LOL!

BDW needs to have a filter, or a flag should be raised when people do this, it really ruins the experience for everyone else...

Whew, one less thing to do! We need to weigh ours...we have ENTIRELY TOO much stuff in our OOT bag suitcase. Im an overpacker. I have like 7 swimsuits, 4 pairs of shorts, 4 tops, swimsuit coverups, like 6 pairs of shoes. I dont know WHY I packed so much stuff...but you never know...I brought a lot of, "just in case" stuff.

Kind of...like we are really really married now...no getting cold feet next week! LOL! But I know it will really really feel official next week! I am so excited!

I was laughing the entire time...shame one me! I am getting all the paperwork started so my last name reflects my marital status...cant believe I am (officially) a Mrs!!!

So, my HUSBAND and I just got married at the courthouse...it was so blah...he and I just went through the motions, but legally...we are officially married! Took all of about 15-20 minutes with filing and the "ceremony". 3 days until he and I are on our honeymoon LOL! We fly out on Thursday, our OFFICIAL (in our eyes) ceremony is next Tuesday!!!
