  1. I was just wondering about this today... thanks for posting!
  2. This is very accurate... Oct 15th You take life as it is, and you find happiness in a variety of things. You tend to be close to family and friends. But it's hard to get into your inner circle. Making the little things wonderful is important to you, and you probably have an inviting home. You seek harmony with others, but occasionally you have a very stubborn streak. Your strength: Your intense optimism Your weakness: You shy away from exploring your talents Your power color: Jade Your power symbol: Flower Your power month: June
  3. Haha that was funny. Thanks, I needed that today.
  4. Hi Lindsey! Welcome. When is your wedding date again? How is the planning going so far?
  5. We are also getting married at a Real Resort! At the Gran Porto in playa this coming June. I've never seen this resort...nor been to Mexico for that matter. Most of our decision making came from BDW, our Travel Agent (Legacy Travel), tripadvisor.com, youtube, wedding blogs and our WC. From my experiance, most of the Real Resorts have the same rules and regulations just different prices.
  6. Sure you can wear flowers and a veil. Here is what I'm doing for the ceremony. For the reception I'm just wearing the flower.
  7. Show me your wedding hair!
  8. Mine is getting my family to book, losing weight & finding ways to save money.
  9. I think the chair ties are a great idea to add color! You don't have to worry about what size the Huppah is, how much fabric to buy or have a hard time setting up.
  10. Gran Porto Real Brides - Post here!!
  11. Its the photos you are after...not the veil itself. Unless you are planning to pass it down to your daughter someday. I say buy a cheaper one for the photos.
  12. It doesn't have to cost a lot. I'm buying this one for mine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1T-White-Wedding-dress-Bridal-Veil-Cathedral-3M-/330674936137?pt=US_Veils&hash=item4cfdc31949
  13. Hey kfady, I bought a case of 6 vases and a case of 12 candles from dollartree.com and it was shipped to my house without any breakage. I'm just putting the both cases into my luggage.
  14. Post your centerpieces here
  15. Hi Ashley, I'm glad you started this thread. I am in the same boat as you. However, we are doing an AHR 2 weeks later and I want to make sure that a good dry cleaning will do the trick after romping around on the beach, in the ocean, etc...or is my dress going to be too icky to wear for my AHR? Thanks ladies! Ashley
  16. Ask about Vendor Fees! It came to a surprise to me that my resort requires a fee of $375 per vendor. For example the photographer & florists. I didn't like their work or prices but have pay $750 first to hire someone else that isn't resort sponsored.
  17. What are you ladies doing for your huppas??? The WC quoted me $500 for this huppa and aisle
  18. Hi I'm a GPR bride as well! I totaly understand about the flowers being so pricey! I'm trying to come up of ways to cut back on flowers all together. 1. Brooch Bouquet & Seashell boutonnieres http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/76565/diy-brooch-bouquet-tutorial-lots-of-pics 2. Centerpieces...I'm bringing my own. Ebay, Dollar Tree & Walmart are my friends! 3. I'm currently asking for a quote for just colored tulle. No flowers. I wanted this for the Huppa...My WC quoted me $500 for this huppa and aisle. This is out of my budget and out of the question.
