  1. I bought those locally at Sam Moon. http://sammoon.com/ I checked their website but could not find the exact one I bought. They are my most priciest brooches..$15 each. You may want to try Ebay...like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/LARGE-VINTAGE-CLEAR-RHINESTONE-SPARKLING-PIN-BROOCH-/370567334123?pt=Vintage_Costume_Jewelry&hash=item564788c8eb
  2. I've been playing with centerpieces on my dinner table. What do you ladies think of this?
  3. Congrats Stacey! I'm not sure if these are any good or not but here is what I picked for the reception menu. 1. Beef Fillet Tournedo with fresh wild mushrooms sauce 2. Red Snapper Fantasy stuffed with seafood & black caviar cream 3. Vegetarians- Eggplant cake with vegetables & green tomato sauce 4. Kids - Chicken nuggets served with fried potato balls. I haven't picked a salad or dessert. What kind of reception are you doing? Have you picked your meal options yet?
  4. Whoops it cut off... I told my maid of honor to start doing arm curls! She is going to be holding this beast for 20 - 30 minutes.
  5. I would if I could...but I'm getting married after you. Also, I'm going to be using the extra brooches to make my wedding cake topper. Here is my inspiration for it..
  6. There are some good ideas in this thread! My friend is a photographer and will be doing my BD shoot as a gift to me. He's only has time to take the photos, edit and put them on a disk. It would be up to me to turn them into a gift. For you ladies that gave BD photos as gifts, where did you print your photo books from?
  7. Get your DIY list ready, because it will grow! Happy pinning
  8. His parents own a farm...they work on it A LOT so not much time for hobbies. They do like to shoot guns...maybe I'll just give them some ammo. LOL! Thanks for suggesting Etsy..I'm on it now.

  13. Hello All, This is our first year to alternate Thanksgiving and Christmas's. You know...the whole, your parents for Thanksgiving this year, my parents for Christmas then next year then we switch? Well since we are going to his parents for Thanksgiving this year, they decided to exchange gifts then in person instead of shipping them...like everyone else. Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK!!! I gave them a gift card last year...that seems so impersonal to do again. What have you guys given???? I need suggestions! Many THANKS in advance!!!!
  14. Hi Mayanbride, I spent a good 2 weeks on this project…every day after work I would work on it for a couple of hours. It almost seemed like a part time job! The biggest waste of time was the floral wire and floral tape method. This method really sucked. Each brooch you had to attached floral wire and floral tape. This gets REALLY tedious when you have more than 50 brooches. When you gathered all your brooch steams and flowers together, it was very lumpy bumpy... even though in the picture it doesnt't look bad. I took it apart several different times... You can see in the last picture, the huge holes and layers I was dealing with. Fustrated and tired I went online and found the styrofoam method. I hacked off all the foral wires an started hot gluing! 3 hours later I was done with an even finished product. Quote: Originally Posted by Mayanbride WOW this is amazing.
