well I finally chatted with my WC Carolina today for the first time for all of 6 minutes. We chatted about what type of ceremony (symbolic/civil etc), if we want outside or inside for the ceremony, if we wanted a private reception or just the dinner reservation, Cake (she only gave options of vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry) I asked about tres leche cake and she had no idea what i was talking about. She also asked about my bouquet preferences, hopefully they can order the orchids I want, she said she would let me know. She then asked about photography - but from the get go we asked Yesenia if we could use Del Sol, she said yes, so we booked. Then this WC is like we don't allow outside vendors - i nearly flipped! after saying again I received confirmation from Yesenia back in September regarding this, she finally said okay well you will have to pay a guest fee (I already knew). Talk about giving somebody a heart attack! She was really irritated when she found out we were using them. Basically any email we have ever spent time writing has fallen on deaf ears. She even had our wedding date wrong. I have been incredibly disappointed so far with the customer service. oh well I'm not going to let it bother me, I just shake my head. But I do have a question, is anybody doing a private reception? she told me its $50 per person for the private event.

hey ladies - need some advice on booking salon/spa appointment times Our wedding is at 6pm, what time should i book hair and make up? Also do you know if they can come to your room to do it? I really want those getting ready photos with our photographer! crazy, 36 days out. I did receive a call from my WC but it wasn't during the time we specified in the email (working) so i called back and left a message and haven't heard back so I will try again this week! I just really want my flowers (blue orchids) which I believe are special order, that is the only thing I am nervous about!

We are planning on doing a BBQ also about a month after the wedding to show pictures and stuff to propel who didn't come. My parents want it at their place, I'd rather have it at ours but I don't care very much! We definitely didn't want anything big or fancy because it's just not us (hence destination wedding in Mexico). And people will be told about it via Facebook or text message.

I know you sold the robe, but where did you buy it from? I love it!

Wow I'm so glad that I seem to fit in with a lot of the time frames here!! We got engaged at 7 years and 8 months and we are getting married right before our 9 year anniversary! We got a lot of "finally" and "about time" when we got engaged which kinda sucked, but it was perfect timing for us!

I really liked the idea of a signed wine bottle - however my fiance and I dont really drink wine. so since we are getting married in mexico its going to be a tequilla bottle! Guests are going to sign it with gold and silver paint markers. We will be buying the bottle in mexico, when we get there we are going to lok for the coolest bottle and hopefully it will be a dark bottle. Here is a pic of the wine bottle guest book:

Love the cake toppers!! I wanted to do a custom one from etsy - i really liked the seller mudcards, but you have to order 4-5 months before you need it (3 week delivery to canada!), she does gorgeous work though! So i think we are just going to use flowers at the resort!

they are sugar starfish - i got 8-10 inch ones off ebay (10 for $20) i dont remember the seller though there are actual websites you can use too that sell them, but living in canada they typically wouldnt ship here! Good luck!

Well this thread officially just made me book my TTD!! We originally wanted to but weren't totally sure!! Also we will be buying the Bose iPod docking station for our music! Thanks for all the tips ladies!

I so want to do these! i'm just going to tell my WC (when I actually speak to her) that we are planning to release these, hopefully She will allow it. I know a girl already asked our resort, but its under a change in ownership, so we shall see!
