YES YES YES Mine isnt until the 24th August but i am SO SO excited!!!!!!

Good Morning/Afternoon girls, Are any of you having a legal ceremony out there? We are and i have just had an email back from the Mexican consulate saying that i need my birth certificate to be apostilled at the Foreign office. This is ok for me because i am not getting married untill August but just incase you didnt realise apparently you have to do this for using UK documents in a different country if you want it to be legal! Apparently some birth certificates may already have the stamp on but i only dug mine out at the weekend and realised it doesnt!!! No-one at any stage has told me about this so just letting you know if you are having a legal wedding to look out for it. S-J x

The resort is about 15/20 minutes from the airport, not too far at all. The beach was nice, the water isn't as blue and clear as if you went down the coast 15 minutes but its still lovely. Hope this helps!

Hiya, Yes the deck in front of the infinity pool seems to be the 1st option for most people, thats where i am having our reception as you say its such a lovely area and its just off the beach but you close enough on the beach if you see what i mean. They gave us 2 other options the beach or the pool area, i cannot see where the reception would be on the beach if someone else has the deck area because they are very close so i am unsure what they do here. I guess the other option for you if you wanted to stick with November was to go by the pool area but it wont be on the beach so i dont know how you feel about that. The weather was good towards the end of the week, unfortunately we landed at the end of a tropical storm and we had solid rain for 2 days, however it wasnt cold in the slightest not even in the evening and it wasnt constant, a few days after the storm had passed it was beautiful weather! I am actually getting married in August and am quite apprehensive about the humidity!!!! I think November would have been a perfect time weather wise! I think i took about 3 weeks every evening to read this forum from the start when i decided its where i wanted to get married, i got so many ideas and it was only when i started to see the brides post their pictures and reviews that i got really excited! Its a perfect place to get married and when i was there in November i saw a few weddings too and everything looks so perfect, i think its true when past brides say the one thing they would do differently is not stress out about e-mails not being answered because everything was done so perfect and proffesionally on the day. I have really taken that advice onboard and cannot wait now!!!

Hi Cbert22 I went down there in November to take a look before i get married in August this year, when you say pool deck are you talking about the decking area in front of the infinity pool on the beach? Or do you mean actually around the pool? I think the deck at the front of the infinity pool on the beach is a better place to have the reception as it is a bit more private than around the pool area. The pool area is nice but its not very private at all. To be honest they do these receptions so well and the set up always looks fantastic i am not sure you will notice where you have it so if it is a case of changing your wedding date for it i am not sure its necesary but its all personal preference.

Hi Lucy, I am planning to do the same so measured the arch thingy while i was there, it is 2.4m long by 2.2m wide and its 2.25m high. I am not getting married until August so i have a bit of time to think about it, hope this helps! S x

Well i have just returned back from a week at DRC, i have to say it was beautiful! I saw 2 weddings out there and they looked lovely! I met Yamina and she is really really nice, i am so happy that she will be planning my wedding! She basically said that i dont need to confirm anything until 1 month before the wedding! I cant remember who but someone did ask for me to get the 2012 pricelist, this still isnt available and i dont think it will be until late December. If anyone has any questions about the resort dont hesitate to contact me!!!! S x

Oh No!!! I am really keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully if it does hit then it will be out the way for Friday! I really am thinking of you! We are due to fly out from the UK on Saturday for 1 week to just check out the hotel before we get married next August, hopefully it will change path in the next 24 hours and all will be fine!
