Hey ladies. I am bringing silk flowers for my wedding, saved a ton of money! I was talking with one of my bridesmaids last night and I think we are going to make our centerpieces. Check things out from the dollarstore and whatnot. Found some nice ideas on DIY wedding bride websites.

Hey Allie. I am bringing silk flowers for bouquet's and I am thinking of just using a tall circular glass vase (I am hoping they have some there) and putting the flowers in that. Also, I am not going to be using the flowers they provide in the ultimate wedding package or the photography in the ultimatge wedding package, so I am hoping that maybe they will let me use some decorations free of charge, considering the flowers and photography are probably pretty costly. I am sure they do some sort of set up on the tables, I doubt they would just leave them empty, you know? Which package are you getting?

Welcome KatoeOSU. Congratulations on booking your wedding! Less than a year away for you. Mine is in March, 2012. Getting excited! We are using Moments that Matter Photography. I have had very good communication with Lincoln since the day I contact him. It is an extra cost, but like Allie said, these pictures will last you forever! I highly reccomend booking him just from the pictures I have seen him take. You should check out MTM on facebook! Amanda.

Good luck Allie. I also have Sandra. She is very hard to get in contact with. Was great at the beginning when I got my confirmation. Have you been charge the $500.00 deposit yet? About 3 or 4 months ago I asked her when she was going to charge it to my credit card, and she said "tomorrow". It has still not been charged. I am honestly thinking of printing off the e-mail saying that she was going to change it the next day and make a complaint when I get there, and maybe they wont charge me. It seems very unorganized. I hope that she is better once we get down there.

Sara - I have not talked to the resort about getting any deals, since we are only having about 22 people. I think you can get a buffet dinner if you have over 50 people, you may want to check into that, since the package dinner is $55.00 extra per person.

Hey ladies, I asked Sandra about the photographer and I told her that there is no way I would be purchasing a night stay, and that I will only be purchasing a day pass and she said that is totally fine. If you stand your ground, they wont try to argue with you, or so it seems!

Awesome video Bianca! Everyone looked like they were having a great time. I have Sandra for my wedding coordinator, and she was okay at first, but now does not answer my e-mails. I really hope she gets better closer to the day!

Thanks for all the info Bianca! Your menu sounds exactly like the one we want - I believe we are going to go with the onion soup. How was the surf and turf? I was a bit worried the steak wouldn't be great. Good call on the Ipod. Will save money for sure! I will do the same thing. So they set up round tables for you? How many people to a table? Did you and your husband have your own head table? Did you have a lot of people? Alison - How many people are coming to yours? We have about 20 - 25 coming. Sorry for so many questions! We really appreciate you answering them for us.

AlisonDawn - I am also very worried about my family members, especially when it comes to food. A lot of them have never been to Mexico before and it concerns me when people say the food is terrible. I am pretty easy to please and so is my Fiance and friends, but our parents might be a little harder to please. I also read its very outdated, but the pictures look beautiful, so I am concerned. Are you getting a DJ, or are you unsure? Also, do you know who your photographer is yet?

Thanks for the tips Bianca87! I really want to have our reception on the beach too. Did you go for one of the gold / silver menus or did you have a buffet? How was the foo? What kind of set up did they do for you for your reception? Also, did you have a dance floor / music, or any equipment for speaches etc? Thanks in advance. Also, I have been reading some very mixed reviews about the resort. How did you find it?

It looks like my comments on my dress didnt work the first time. My dress came in last week - I am going to get some alterations done in a few months. I want to get rid of the train I think. -

Allie2012 - Thats awesome to hear you booked with him! I am sure we will both have awesome pictures! I believe the ultimate package uncludes the white tulle. That is the package that I got as well. I am hoping it includes it!

Sunsetselene - We are using Moments that Matter Photography (Photography by Lincoln). I chose him because he originates from Winnipeg, which is where I am from. He also used to live in Calgary, which I notice is where you are from. He has very reaonsable prices (I think so, anyways). He is very good at responding to e-mails and always answering any questions you need! You should look at their web site, and let me know what you think!
