Elegant dress! Just not for me. I just purchased this as a never been worn, sample dress. The pictures do not it justice. It is a simple sheath dress in size 10 that can be easily altered down and hemmed! There is lace and beading on bust and hemline. Purchased for $1200 this past Monday and am just second guessing the style for me and my wedding!

We are planning to have a catholic wedding here in November 2011. However, I'm not catholic and therefore cannot get any sacrament certificates. I have talked to Patty (supervisor) and Claudy and all they told me I needed was the letter from the priest back home allowing us to get married in the catholic church. Is it vital to get these sacrament certificates? This is the first I've heard about it!

Hi all! We are planning to get married at the Gran Caribe Real on November 18, 2011! We sent in the information to book last week but have not received the wedding code as of yet. We were assigned to Claudy as our WC. Anyone work with her and share experiences?! I was waiting to get started on everything until we FOR SURE got everything booked but am getting nervous. We've also been working with Teresa from Vacations4Less for our travel agent but suddenly her emails are getting bounced back to me today.... We are going with the Royal Catholic package. Any tips on that, as well? We will, be getting married in the chapel & then still deciding on a reception place. We are wanting a private reception outside.

So I'm at the critical point of depositing for our resort and figuring out block group rates and I just emailed Teresa and all of her emails are getting bounced back to me!!!!! We had constant communication up until today and she was so responsive and was wondering if anyone had any issues or if their servers are down?

Thank you all for your advice and support! We actually moved this past weekend to a new apartment and our wedding planned was placed on a back burner. I do agree that it is ultimately our decision so we recently sat down and really discussed what we wanted and hashed out our concerns and non-negotiables. We really compromised and have decided to go with a cheaper alternative for our guests by going to Cancun/Playa del Carmen area (which is still beautiful!) and have a Catholic ceremony. I am not Catholic but the wedding coordinator at Gran Caribe Real indicated that as long as we have approval in the states that we would be able to have the ceremony in the oceanfront chapel. The Catholic ceremony will really appease my FI's mother and she is on board! Thanks again for all the kind words...I'm going to start browsing/posting on all the planning sites..so excited!

After talking about when and where we want to get married (I never wanted a traditional wedding and he hates being the center of attention), we figured that a destination wedding may work out quite nicely for us. NOW, he is freaking out about the costs it will take guests to get there and guests taking time out of their schedules to come to our wedding. He acts as if the wedding is unworthy. I keep telling him that this is for us. My parents (who are footing the bill) and friends are totally psyched to be given an opportunity to take a vacation. His family is getting mad that they don't get to choose where they vacation and how much money it will take to get there. His family takes vacations EVERY year, usually multiple. I have been on three vacations with them in the past two years which I have dutifully paid the flights. Yet, they are mad because we choose to have a destination wedding in Cabo. I realize that it is a bit more expensive to get to Cabo but I feel as if their reasoning is unjustified. On top of this, his family is important to him (which I treasure) but they are totally swaying him to change his mind on a DW all together. EEEK.

That sounds great! The experience vastly differs between the people going there so perhaps the week of keg stands was just an exceptionally partying crowd! Ambar just emailed me back with quotes from Melia and it seemed as the open bar was a separate expense. Was that case? It seems odd to have an all-inclusive and pay extra for an open bar. Teresa from Vacations 4 Less is getting back to me room block quotes. She told me that Melia is closer to San Lucas than Dreams (by just a bit). My FI and I went to Cabo last year and stayed at the Villa del Palmar and felt that it was a perfect distance to San Lucas. Is Melia closer to the San Lucas or further? I am getting so excited and so glad people are responding so quickly!

Hi all! I have posted in a few other threads but wanted to officially say hello! I was officially engaged last weekend and we are hopefully going to be married in Los Cabos the week/end of Thanksgiving of this year (November 24th is the Thursday)! We have been getting quotes from Dreams Los Cabos, working with Teresa of Vacations 4 Less (thanks Tammy!), and also want to look at Melia Cabo Real, and Barcelo Cabo. I just started looking at Barcelos last night but it looks amazing but reading reviews on here for wedding planning sound awful!!!! Dreams Los Cabos definitely seems like the most organized and most reputable but also the most expensive for guests which is what my FI is concerned about. Teresa indicated that Melia Cabo Real is a step down from Dreams but the pictures and reviews seem equally as good (just not as many as Dreams). I know that there are so many threads to look at for each individual one, but could anyone share their experiences of searching and finally picking the resort? If I'm also not mistaken, does Melia Cabo Real have the balcony with the black iron benches for a ceremony site (which I love but can't recall which post I saw it)? I am also open to any resort suggestions! Final question as a newbie - does anyone think it's possible to plan a wedding in Cabo in a little over 4 months?! Or, am I just crazy? Thanks for any input! This site has already helped me tremendously!

Thanks for your reply LeeLee! I have not reached out to Vanessa as of yet but will do so ASAP since I'm working on such a tight timeframe. My FI is really concerned about costs for other guests and just reached out to Tammy and she said Dreams may have limited night/rooms available so may be looking more towards Melia. Did you feel that Melia was more of a nightclub/party scene? I think it would be fine for my friends but not my family!
