I flew Aeromexio in July for a bachelorette party and honestly no complaints!!! They even give you a free meal for coach and the staff was really nice.
-
Cherany- I will probably see you your wedding weekend, we have the same date and my guests and I are staying at Porto Playa which is part of Condohotels (taj) best of luck!! Are you working with Lourdes?

Luis did and I think his staff, they were all so helpful!! Let me know if you want to know the food we tried. I would love any info and especially feedback that you have after your wedding. A month!!! You must be so excited!!!! Can I ask how much the tables and chairs were? Also what are you doing for your set up? Are you using the same chairs for the ceremony? So happy to talk to another Beach Club bride! Best of Luck!

My FI is wearing a suit form Jcrew http://www.jcrew.com/wedding/Wedding_Groom_Groomsmen/suits/PRDOVR~66340/66340.jsp in stone (pants, vest and jacket) with brown leather flip flops or barefoot, the boys will be in the same pants from Jcrew with a white linen shirt and barefoot (we are getting married on the beach) Still havent booked our flights they just seem so high right now and when I went in Jan for our site inspection which is high season it was 450 from Newark, and I went to Cancun for a bach party in July they were really high too but then 3 mos before it dropped to 480 so I think I will wait.

Hi, Its been awhile since I wrote. I wanted to say that when we first said that we were having a destination wedding A LOT of people told us they were surprised we would go that route (not sure why my FI and i LOVE to travel) or we got comments like why wouldn't you just do it here and keep it low key to save costs like do a brunch or skip out on DJ etc. It was SO annoying Why should I skip out on anything and why are you planning OUR wedding! Anyways our parents and siblings (i have 2 lil nieces and they are on board one is 3 at time of wedding the other 18 months) love the idea and are so excited and my friends are coming but some have made me feel bad like basally reminding that they spending a lot to come...which btw i got my BM dresses FOR 40 bucks, and no shoes required LOL i am trying so hard to keep it cheap for everyone. But i have had some friends who fly anywhere in the world and have been really awesome...I am there if anyone needs an extra bm!!!! I am sending our invites first week of Dec or last week of November with an RSVP date of Feb 4th so we have 3 months of knowing exactly how much and what everything is going to be. I just want to know who is coming! we are inviting about 175 and so far we have about 45 booked trough our website/STD

Hi I have been the GC and did my food tasting already if you have any questions PM me. Also I have the best wedding planner she answers my emails within 24 hours and has had the best suggestions and has a ton of patience (i ask sooo many questions) and she knows everyone in Playa (everywhere we went during our site inspection someone knew her) I can give you her contact info

I actually researched both and it was cheaper for us to just go with one in Mexico; plus we loved his work and when we met him during our site visit we just really hit it off.

Hi.. I am a May 4th bride, at Grand Coral Beach Club in Playa! I have booked/completed: Hotel Reception WP Photographer DJ weddingwebsite/STD and just booughtmy dress last weekend!! Bridesmaids dresses MOH dress In process of booking: Videographer Welcome Party location Make up and Hair I was wondering if anyone had any information on sending packages to mexico (our wedding planner said we can mail then to her house) but was wondering if anyone had input or heard about shipping stuff. Also what can and cant we bring down with us? Also when is everyone sending outteh formal invites? I was thinking December and put a RSVP date of Feb? I feel like you know if you going to Mexico by Feb for a May wedding..Plus that way we can get a head count we have 250 invitees we think about 85 will go right now everyone says yes but I will believe it when they book! we have about 35- 40 that have reserved hotel rooms! BTW- all i do is search flights now!

Hi! I am a May 42013 bride, seems so far away! We are getting married in Playa Del Carmen. We were torn between Playa and Turks and Caicos. Turks is our fave place on earth! But Playa was as lot more affordable for both us and our guests; plus we have a lot of single friends and Turks doesn't have a nightlife really. Anyways I am so excited!! We went for a week and Jan and just booked our wedding planner, reception place and photographer.... I think for STD we are just doing a website and sending out our invites (passports) 6 months prior.

Where are you staying for your wedding? All the Condohotels have roof tops, that is where we are staying and using that as our welcome party. They told us you can fit about 25 ppl in each roof top, they 2 that connect so thats about 50 people. You can also hire a chef too cook stuff up and you can buy all the drinks. Hope this helps. I also know La Tortuga has a rooftop rest.

Hi Wanted to share some info on our site inspection; I will keep try to keep it quick and to the point. Feel free to PM if you want more info or any other type of question Our first night was at Petit Lafitte (PLF)- Very cute! a big plus is that you can rent out the hotel and just have it for your guests and you the whole wknd. They also allow children which is a plus for me as I have two little nieces. The staff was actually the nicest people we encountered the entire trip. Con- reallllly bad at answering emails literally waited for weeks. The beach is a bit rocky but def swimmable and very private. Our dinner was 6/10 Our second night was at Le Reve- Jaw dropping literally. Its a boutique hotel again liek PLF (25 rooms) we did a food tasting food was a 8/10. drink 10/10 so delish! Arelnis the WP was a joy, so responsive and attentive listend to us. I cant say enough good things about her and the hotel. Again you can rent it out. They allow kids for the days, if you rent it out only. Also the hotel is geared more towards couples and Honeymooners (we have a lot of single guy friends) so sharing a king size bed was not gonna work. Also I didnt want to have my sister having to switch hotels after a few nights (because she has two lil ones) Lastly deal breaker really for us was it was too small for our wedding party and wasnt the right fit for our friends and family. But i HIGHLY recommend! beach is rocky. Pool is AMAZZZING The remainder of our trip was at Porto Playa Condo Hotels- for the next five days we just got to really exp. downtown playa and as soon as we saw what an awesome town this was something for everyone we just knew this was it. we met with the hotel manager Lourdes, we really liked her, she was not pushy and straight forward. we also met with a WP Maria Tripaldi, she is like the mayor or Playa! she is great and we ended up signing with her. Its only been 2 months and she has responded to every email within 24H. I couldnt ask for more. We checked out Kool, Wickys, Beach Club at Grand Coral, Zenzi, Blue Parrot and Carnival Royale. PM with any questions! We ate lunck at Kool (good 7/10) Wickys we did a dinner tasting (9/10 SOO good) best meal we had in Playa! Also had a food tasting at Beach Club (8/10) We ended up signing with Beach Club due to how beautiful it was, the chef Luis is awesome and the beach is not crowded. Also met with 3 photographers Ivan Luckie (Great nice guy, to the point no BS), Dean Sanders (really nice guy too) and Alfredo from Fine Arts ( we are signing with him, we just hit it off personality wise) My fiance and I really laid back and just wanted someone who got us and we got them, afterall they are spending the day with you! I think its really important to hit it off with your photographer! I think thats it for now....Thanks for reading and Happy Planning
