We are getting married on May 4th and getting the license on 3/26 (we have to wait 72 hours, and then it expires on 4/26) so we will go to Town Hall on 4/19.

I actually bought the frame with no glass! Great question I have been to weddings that have both. We are using an old window frame and having cardstock hang from a clothes pin(1 paper for each table) with the names of each guest printed on the cardstock..Table 1 and then under will have the names of those guests. etc. We will display it at the entrance

how about PLF, or any of the condohotels in Playa?

I am having one too. I think its fun and part of being a bride (to me that is) is going thorugh all these fun events leading up to your big day (shower, bach, wedding). I agree with what other people said too, some pple cant make our destination wedding (we are not doing AHR) so they want to celebrate our wedding with us. My mom and sister are throwing it (& paying for it) I wouldnt expect my bridesmaids to especially since they are all travelling to Mexico. We also registred with honeyfund (we have been together 7 years and have most of the stuff we need already) that way people can give as little or as much as they way or nothing at all just celebrate with us!!

off topic, but does anyone know the norm for tipping? I am trying to figure it out to add it to our budget and I keep seeing different answers. For example hair and make up (they are coming to our hotel)? DJ? etc Any feed back would be great.

I think they will go down, generally its 3 months out (for Caribbean and Mexico when they are the cheapest) At least that's what I saw on MS NBC a while back and seems to have worked for me every timeI have traveled to those places! (including this year when I went twice)

Hi Our wedding is 5/4/13. We did a electronic STD 13 months in advance 4/4/2012 and I just mailed our invites today 12/4/12; so 5 months in advance with an RSVP date of 2/4/13-3 months before the wedding but giving everyone 2 Months to think about it Hope that helps! Happy planning!

Hi, we just reserved ours for our welcome party Bleu Magic. He picks us up at our hotel and brings us to the Port and then its a 4 hour excursion (snorkeling, open bar and snacks) we rented the whole catamaran it fits up to 85 people I think.

I have a random question, most of our vendors are pay the balance in cash the day of. (That's a lot of cash to bring down and makes me feel nervous) Does anyone know if there are American banks in Playa/Cancun area? Such as Chase or BofA? If not any suggestions on taking out that much cash when you are down there?
