I think that is half the challenge. #1 finding the quality that you are happy with and #2 finding the amount and the colors you want

Just to let you know, i went to Pashmina group store right on 7th ave ( on the ctrain line) right beside the big church on 7th and 1st.. and I got 11 pashminas for 100 bucks. doesn't sound as good of a price as pioneer group, however with shipping costs it works out to be the same.. and they are EXACTLY like the ones from pioneer group. same packaging and everything!

Yeah you are right.. i am msure it is completly subjective. I was thinking of doing the same.. bringing a list of music we want played etc.. and take my chances with the resort DJ. You get married a month before I do, Please do keep us posted on your experience with your wedding!

if you are referring to wishlantern.com then you click on the actual lantern you would want, and it lists it there That's where i got mine from.. and i think i listed the size dimensions of the ones that i purchased in one of the above posts, but i am pretty sure once you click on the lanterns, the sizes post.. at least they did for the ones i chose.. I am not too sure if the other ones have the sizes listed or not.

Hey! We are using steel pand band also.. but who did you guys get for a DJ if you don't mind me asking? We were just planning on getting the resort DJ, so we didn't have to pay the vendor fees and what not... but we don't want someone who sucks!! lol... any suggestions?

Hey! for us, we are doing the steel pan band for the ceremony. we will have them playing while people are being seated, playing for us girls walking down the aisle, and then playing during the champagne toast after the wedding... Then for the bonfire we are just going to get the resort DJ.. we just want to make it simple I will be loading a list of Must have songs for the dj.. and if he doesn't have them then i will will have them on my ipod hehehe just in case aside from that i am not too picky

Ohhh Cross Iron hehehehe well i am here to tell ya they have a BIG la Vive en rose store there!! hahahahah they have a sunglass hut kiosk that is having a sunglass sale.. and they are having lots of sales on summer dresses and clothes at alot of stores... so there are lots of good finds for you and the FI!! they have a bed bath and beyond.. so they may have some cool things.. OH and they have a Tommy Bahama store.. if you are looking for beach dress clothes for the FI.. *i was just there this last weekend* lol

Bahahah I am not laughing AT you.. i am laughing WITH you.. as i was in the EXACT same spot you were in last week, and i believe i said those EXACT same words!! hahaha.. I also went to la vive en rose and bought 35 bathing suit bags for my OOT bags, and then came onto these boards asking for an intervention hahahah.. i love that we are all in the same spot though!! we could fill the intervention class though i am sure!! we would probably go and spend the whole class laughing, and sharing all of our good finds for our bags!! lol

Heheh That's cause i haven't posted the other items yet Once i get them all put together and sealed in the bags with the labels and things i will post more pictures of the OOT bags more put together

hahaha i have mine all sitting in my kitchen right now.. i am starting to look like a friggen hoarder!! hahahah but we have to buy a new luggage set so we are waiting to pack it up for when we get those.. lol that and it allows me to look through it once in a while.. lol we are getting married on my Grandma's Birthday too!!! her and i are really close, and she wont be able to go to our wedding as she can't travel anymore. so we are also using her wedding rings for the ceremony.. and honoring her by getting married on her Birthday... so long story short.. it is a pretty special day!

So I saw a post from abother girl on another thread.. and i am going to post it on here cause for all of us Jamaica brides.. i am very curious.. and maybe someone on here will know??? Is it true that if you take a lot of items to Jamaica you will be taxed through customs? How did you handle this issue? I plan to take quite a few things (candles, linen, party favors OOT bags etc)...I am glad that I am aware that there is a possibility of being taxed so I can prepare early. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case?? if so i need to stop shopping for my OOT bags.. like YESTERDAY lol

Thanks Leigh, I love how they turned out also!!! i just wish i had more creative juices to make postcards, and other cool things to add.. maybe i will get some inspiration from other vista print gals! I was thinking of doing the pens and notebooks.. but being that i would need 30 of them... even if i did the free thing.. x30 the shipping will work our to be more than i would want to spend unfortunately i think...

here are some of my vista print creations This is my welcome book cover.. front and back. it is the Brochure on Vista print.. i used one of their templates, and just added my own words and inserted the welcome picture on the front... This is our welcome letter we are putting in all of our OOT bags... this is the RACK cards on Vista print.. again used thier template for the background, and then inserted our picture and what not.. and last but not least, this is the card we are putting in our waterproof room key card holders. this is just the regular business card. So far, this is all i have done.. i wanted to do post cards.. but i can't figure out what wording etc.. to put on them hahaha so i havent done those...

Haha okay cool.. i was thinking of getting the girls the white glasses too but i have one bridesmaid ( i love her to death) who is a bit of a princess and said that all of us wearing white sunglasses with the boys would look cheap and tacky ( i COMPLETELY DISAGREE) but because of her boistrous opposition to the idea.. i got the girls coach bags instead.. and we are just getting the guyshwite glasses as i dont think it is cheap at all.. infact i think it looks awesome and will make great pictures!! i am thinking of buying myself a white pair of sunglasses too..

They are called Pashmina group, and they are in a a bit of a skuzzy section of 7th ave ( on the c-train line) so if you are driving down, you will need to park a block or two off and walk to them.. .. infact the sign to their store is spraypainted hahaha.. but the prices are good and i like them their address is: 129 7 Ave SW Calgary, AB T2P 0W5 (403) 233-8079 i have attached below pictures of the grey one i got for my mom, and the blue ones i got for my bridesmaids.. they have solid ones without the paisley design also... and the "pashmina" label is just a fabric sticker. and they peel off.. they are not sewn to the fabric.. the lighting on these is bad, so i apologise for the poor picture quality, but it gives you an idea anyway

on another topic... we bought our attendant gifts today... I am a little concerned about how the guys will like their gift hehehe.. so i am on here to you lovely ladies to get your honest opinion... so we went to the Balzac Mall just outside of calgary ( LOVE this outlet mall) and we went to the coach outlet store and got a really good deal, and bought my girls coach bags... for the groomsmen, we got them white oakley gascan sunglasses.. we figured it might be cool for pictures and such on the wedding day... we got the FI a pair also, so all the guys have them... i am worried because white sunglasses may not look good on everyone? i dunno!!! lol

Hey ladies, Does anyone happen to have the template for the Pashmina tags? i seen some on here before that said " To have an to hold and to keep you warm in the cold" or something like that... but i haven't had any luck making one... does anyone have one, or know where i can find one???
