This is the final details sheet i was referring to that shows the charge.. if you look on the page that talks baout the options for the non private dinner, it is at the bottom of the page.. Nonetheless, a 7PM dinner and 8:30PM Bonfire would be perfect only a couple more days! yayy!!!!!! Have FUN and we can't wait to hear all the details and see some pics!!

Hi Cloned, On my final wedding details sheet.. for the Beach, It states right on there that the non private dinners are to last 1.5 hours.. if they go over you will be charged 200.00... Soo i would just plan for it to be 1.5 hours. I am doing the same, so i have my dinner at the steakhouse starting at 6:30, and then the Bonfire to start at 8pm-10PM

Being that you have so much time, take this opportunity to read these boards and soak in as much info as ya like for ideas... decorating ideas, and determining what projects you would like to take on etc.. Ie: welcome kits or OOT bags etc.. the more projects you decide to take on, the longer it takes, so you will be thankfully for all this time! I know it is hard to guesstimate this early, on numbers.. however maybe start a list of things you would "like " to do, and then you will know what things you can do and work on now, and what things you can wait on.. trust me.. it goes by soo fast!!!! I remember when i was a year away, and now i am 7 weeks away.. goes sooo quickly!!!

When we first started planning we did just that.. I sent out Save the Dtes, to tell people we were getting married in Jamaica, and the date of the wedding. That way they could start planning and saving. I just put on the Save the Date that more information is to follow on the formal invite. We also put on the save the date, the address to our wedding website ( we created a wedding website on ewedding.com) so that people could check there for any info or updates. I then made sure to keep it updated with package info and quotes, and any other updates... it worked out great! and then the pressure was off to make sure i have every detail nailed down..

Yeah i hear ya! That is why when i heard about all of these increases with the other resorts, i had to verify with Silvia, because i am the same.. i am already MAXED on my budget also hahah.. Thankfully it is yet to be changed.. so that is awesome.

After hearing that they doubled also, i emailed Silvia at the Beach.. as i am getting married in february and budgeted based on the prices i was given.. she wrote back and advised that there have not yet been any changes to the wedding package prices at the Beach... I can't speak for the other resorts but so far.. the Beach prices are the same!! *whew* crossing my fingers it stays as such!

Hahaha sorry if i made the decision hard for ya... i know.. i am struggling too.. it is such a beautiful song.. I almost feel like i need to use it in my wedding somewhere hahaha...

Hey Ladies, Just wanted to share something else here... My FI and I are not having flower girls or ring bearers, and we are getting married with two sets of rings. ( our own wedding bands, and then on our other hands, we are putting my Grandma and Grandpa's wedding rings. My Grandma gave them to me to use when we got engaged.. my grandpa has passed and she wanted the set to stay together etc..).. We wanted to use our own rings. but wanted to incorporate my grandparents rings too.. we are afterall getting married on my Grandma's bday! ( we are really close ) So we came up with the idea that it might be cool if we did something where our Mom's could be involved somehow.. so we found these!!!!! They are Nautilus Shell Ring pillows!! i found them on Etsy from a Lady named Jennabean23 .. ( she is soo nice.. great to work with, and she will customize them to whatever color you want etc.. ) Anyway, we bought two of them and so we are going to have my mom hold one with my Grandparents rings in them, and my Mother in Law will Hold the other one with our wedding bands in them. Then when they ask for the rings they will come up with the shells and give up the rings I just love them! Eiiik! LESS than 2 months now till we leave for Jamaica.. time is flying!!

I know hey!! we are having " We are Man and Wife" by Michelle Featherstone as our wedding song... and Chasing cars by snow patrol has always been " our song" so i am having the DJ play that song when we are releasing our sky lanterns... and now i am trying to think what i could play this song for!!!! lol maybe a final song before you "exit" ?

There is a place online called Henkaa . com... it is a really pretty convertable dress... there is only one dress on the website, however it is one that you can convert to several different dresses... nice site!! ad a friend of mine used these dresses her for wedding and they were perfect!!!! i had already boughten my bridesmaid dresses from Davids bridal before she told me about this site, otherwise i think this is where i would have gone.. good luck!

Hi! We only had the small birth certificates also.. with no father's names on them, ad i was told by the WC we needed the long version ( the larger certificates) with the fathers name.. so we just went online and ordered them through the provincial website... depending on what province you were born in etc.. it is actually quite easy... My FI was born in BC and we live in Alberta, so for his we went on the website and ordered it... came in one week. With mine, because we live in the same province I was born, i just had to go and order mine through a registry office.. Good Luck!

Hmmm well please let me know what she responds!! she told me mine was a no go.. that we could have the open bar, the bonfire.. but no dj.. as the beach party has a dj on the beach and they can't have two going at once.. Please let me know if she says yours is a go.. cause if yours is not an issue i will definatly be bringing that up with her again!!! *fingers crossed*

Yup... which is unfortunate... we are getting married on a thursday, and we wanted soo badly to have our dance and what not, on the beach with a dj and a bonfire... but we cant because of the beach party being n the same night.. The wedding coordinator said to keep our fingers crossed because closer to the wedding they may change the night of the beach party.. so we have been hopin!!! but so far it has not yet changed..

I Love your bag tags!!!! I havent started my bag tags yet.. and i am at a LOSS as to what i should do for them....

My flowers were under 500.00 but i told Jodi-Anne my budget.. and then she worked with me to help me stay within my budget. having said that, i am pretty simple. all i am getting is 3 bridesmaids bouquets, a groom boutineere, 3 groomsman bouts, and a brides bouquet. so it depends on the types of flowers, and what you want.. ie decorations etc... if Tai Flora is not responding to you, then send an email to your WC, and tell her that... after i did that.. Jodi-Anne responded to me promptly lol... it is like the WC's have poking sticks hahah.. Good Luck!

Hmm although i understand some of where she is coming from .. i would never tell my guests they are not allowed to snap pictures... i think part of being a professional photographer is knowing how to snap around the guests and such... that kind of is what you are paying them alot of money to do... take nice photos but without ruining the other guests time... i will never tell my guests they can't snap photos.. but that is just me. I think putting a seperate communication on your info packages to state when they can and cannot take photos is snooty... again.. completely my opinion and my opinion only Good luck Girl!

I actually encountered the same thing with her... which was unfortunate, because at the time I really wanted to book with her.. but never got a response on her even sending me her package pricing etc.. i had sent her like two emails.. possibly even three ( can't remember now for sure) and didn't get a response.. so i ended up moving on and booking Misha Earle.. I love her work.. and she worked within my budget.. and she ALWAYS gets back to me right away.. she is awesome!!!! The thing with me was.. although they are really busy.. it is still a business.. and you have to go with who makes you feel the most comfortable.. we as brides have ebnough to stress and worry about.. not getting responses is one of my pet peeves.. and i don't need that to worry about, on top of everything else i need to worry about lol I would maybe send her one more emial to follow up..and in the meantime.. look at other photographers.. and just choose the one that makes you feel the most confident and comfortable.. There is alot of talent in Jamaica from a Photography stand point.. and several of them are around the same budgetary wise.. so you have some choices! like: Misha Earle, Stacey Clark was another one i heard good things about, and Marcia of course also.. along with some others!! so you have some choices!!
