Nice shots!! i agree with Beach.. try and see a whole wedding... but it looks good!! so the 2000.00 does that include a TTD, and ceremony and getting ready pics etc?.. also what is included in the package, IE: do you get a hard covered album .. or digital copies of ALL pics she takes ? and is that including her travel fees and what not also? sorry for all the questions hahah..

Just a question for all Past and future brides... when it comes to tipping.. do you plan on, or did you.. tip the wedding coordinator and your photographer? We chose a photographer that owns her own company, but she is still working hard ( i hope) hahah so i am confused on whether or not to tip these people, and if so.. how much should we tip? Obviously the minister and bar staff etc.. DJ and what not are no brainers... but i am a bit torn on the WC and photographer.. so any insight would be very helpful!! Thanks ladies!

Hey, i inquired about this for my wedding, as we are getting married on my Grandma's birthday.. and she is not able to make it, so i thought it would be cool for her to watch it at home through skype or youtube or something... .. and Silvia told me it is not possible because you can't get wifi on the beach... if you use iphone or something like that, you could, by using your 3G.. BUT then the roaming charges for us Canadians is Reeeedonkulous! they really should look into getting something set up... being that so many people want that option...

Hi Krysta, I am sooo sorry you are going through this so close to the wedding... that is horrible... and i hope they get what is coming to them... that is aweful... but the brides on here are right.. it WILL work out for you!!!! I get married in one month.. and i am using Misha Earle.. she will work with your budget.. and she is absolutely amazing to work with so far.. her work is beautiful.. and she has a way to make you feel really comfortable etc... i am soo happy we picked her.. so maybe give her a try too!! she has a website... so google her

Ok.. i just have to share.. 34 days until i leave.. and this past weekend.. i worked my butt off and my mom and i finished the last of my projects!! wooohoo!!!! i guess now that i have pictures of everything i should start my planning thread! lol i will say though... after my wedding i will be happy to sell all of my leftover starfish and what not.. ( i still have tons left over after all my DIY's) and my big starfish i am using for wedding decorations.. cause although it is going to be beautiful and i can't wait to see it all come together... i am getting Starfished out! lol now all that i have left to do is my last dress fittings and get my jewelery shined and polished.. and PACK PACK PACK!!! lol

You can, if you rent out the steakhouse for a private reception.. if you are having semi private or non private then no, you can't.. you can only have basic decorations.. Hope this helps!! eiik!! can't believe i am leaving for Jamaica in just 38 days! lol

Hi There, That was the case if you got your tickets before september.. Air Canada has changed their baggage allowance.. so unfortunately.. this is no longer the case... now, you can have only 2 bags up to 70 lbs per bag, per person.. still alot more than other airlines

Oh no !! i could totally see why you would be panicking!! when did they say your dress would be finished?? have you had dress fittings yet prior? or have you not even had a fitting yet? as for the maracas... can the company you ordered them from expedite you some new ones? and the wedding band... did they give you an ETA?? don't panic too much yet hun... it will all come together!! the music and the brochures and luggage tags can get done in a day or two of working on them YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! and just remember.. in the end... the most important thing is that you guys will be married... i mean the dress.. the ring and the shoes are the top priorities.. but everything else after that is just little stuff! i know it doesn't seem that way now... but... it truly is!! I am starting to get panicked a bit myself.. as i get married shortly after you.. and i keep thinking that i am forgetting something.. but it will all come together!! xoxo

Hi Jennifer, For clarification; by semi private our interpretation would mean for 1.5 hours your group will be the only ones in the restaurant, which means closing out the seating that immediately follows yours allowing you to do toasts, and personalizing this. This would have a charge. However, based on your comments this is not what you want which is fine. We can have the dinner that comes with the package with the standard set up for your group at no charge with other guests in the restaurant, for 1.5 hours with minimal décor, and personalization Sorry for the misinterpretation Silvia McNeish

Okay so we have been talking back and forth about how the beach location told some of us that we have to rent the steakhouse and what not based on numbers.. and didn't communicate to us that we could not have a semi private dinner... When this was all happening, and i was told the same thing by Silvia, i emailed her back asking why we couldn't have a semi private dinner, being that there was no mention of that in any of our paperwork. She just wrote me back.. a One liner email stating the following: Hello Jennifer, Of course you can have it semi private for 1 hour and a half for a cost of $400usd. Regards, Silvia McNeish Can any past or current brides please tell me if you are also being charged 400 USD to have a semi private dinner?? All of the paper work i have states that a semi private dinner is free?!?!? are they that hard up for money, or what is going on? This is soo frustrating.. and i am not really sure what to do here... This is what i responded: Hi Silvia, I thought that it was free to have a semi private dinner? I didn't read anywhere that there is a charge to it now. Is this something new? I thought we could have the following based on all of the paper work i received from you: Semi private dinner for our 38 guests (FREE) bonfire on the Beach for reception for 2 hours (500.00) DJ for the bonfire reception (150.00 per hour x 2 hours = 300.00) Open bar for everyone (over 15 people included in the bonfire price = 7.00 per head) Why am I now being told there is a 400.00 fee to have a semi private dinner? Oh no! that is horrible!!!! I am sure she would probably feel the same way!!! they clearly state one wedding per day... i would definatly email Silvia.. or even phone!! and ask her what is going on... make her explain! cause that is not right.. for you or the other bride! we pay top dollar to be the only brides.. but it is definately worth an email or phone call to the wedding coordinator. please let us know what comes out of it!!

*sigh* you guys are lucky!! i just got an email from Silvia at the beach.. ( as i sent her my final wedding details sheet) and i have told her several times what our plan was prior to this... and she said nothing.. Now that i put on the final details that we wanted there is an issue! So i put on there that my total number of guests is 38, however my photographer is bringing 3 people, which puts us to 41 people. I told her i wanted a SEMI private dinner, with a bonfire. she then responded and told me that we have the numbers to rent the steakhouse, and to consider this because they cannot accomodate more than 30 people for a semi private. ( which doesnt make sense to me!!! as what do those who have more than 30 people.. but less than 40? they can't eat?!?!?!) ugh! Anyway.. i wrote her back and stated this was not n option for us. we want the semi private dinner as stated.. along with the bonfire on the beach. renting the steakhouse and having the bonfire is NOT in our budget. and so i wrote her back and told her i wanted semi private. and if they won't let me then i stated i want to know what the other options ASIDE from renting the steakhouse.. is. I will keep you posted.. but this is stupid!! they have not communicated this prior! now 6 weeks before my wedding they are claiming i will be forced to rent the steakhouse..( pay ALOT extra than our usual plan) so frustrating!

If all else fails, i know there are a few ladies i found on etsy, that will write on the sign whatever you like.. so what you could do is fign a style of sign that you like on etsy, and then contact the seller and see if she would custom make one for you to say what ya want... like instead of saying " Thank you" that it says " Here comes the bride" worth the ask anyway And Congrats to you girl on your upcoming big day! ( 46 days) eiiik!!!!!! you are right... it is soo hard NOT to stress.. but we do have to remember what the other brides who have done it already keep saying..

Yeah.. it is disappointing.. i am hoping that she makes it right.... and if she does.. i will be the first one to post on here to say so... and that it is all cleared up.. but unfortunately i don't have high hopes of that happening.. so be warned Ladies.. if you do go to sell something... just get the payment first... i won't post her name on here as i see her on here quite frequently...but just be careful selling or buying for that matter i guess!... IF i do see her wanting to buy anything though.. i will be sure to raise the red flag to anyone who is thinking of selling anything to this person... Just so someone else doesn't get burnt..

Yeah we decided to do the steel pan band for the ceremony and the champagne toast, DJ for the beach... the steel pan band for the bonfire will be awesome too!!!

Yeah I told them the price they said okay! just let me know when you ship it and i will email transfer you the money right away.... they never did.. i would send messages.. and they would respond stating they would send it that day etc... and they never did.. they confirmed they received the stuff, and then finally over two weeks after they received the product, they kept communicating and responding to my messages telling me they would email it to me again and stated they sent it.. but i never did receive it. I explained that and then gave them my mailing address so she could mail me a cheque.. and i haven't heard back from them since... ( this was November/ begining december). so finally over a week ago.. i sent them a final message stating i have given up on them as i am tired of trying to chase the money... and stated how disappointed i was.. They come on here regularly.. and they post messages on here ( probably reading this one as i send it) but they have not responded to my final message. Some people just have no conceince i suppose... it is unfortunate.. but.. i guess it was my fault... as i tend to trust people to much i suppose.. lesson learned People like that get under my skin too... but it is over now.. and maybe so,day that person will make it right... who knows.....

I am getting married next month, and when i return ( March 6th) i will be selling all of my wedding decorations... i know there are buy sell boards, however i wanted to give my Canadian Friends a heads up first.. as i know how expensive shipping can be ( as i paid it for all of these items..) So if I can make anything easier for some of my other fellow brides.. and save you the conversion and international shipping charges etc... then why not! that list will include : a ton.. ( i have a LOT) of starfish in varying sizes.. ( from 3/4' up to 8-10 ' ) 60x organza chair wraps, in two colors.. Turquoise and royal Blue 10 yards of Royal Blue Huppa or arch Organza Material 10 yards of Light Blue Huppa or Arch Organza Material 10 yards of Turquoise Huppa or Arch Organza Material black and white canvas totes etc etc etc... ( will have a more complete list later) I can take pics of everything.. and unfortunately.. i was burned by another Canadian Bride whom "purchased" some items from me, however never ended up paying me.. so i will require payment in advance.. but inbox me if any of these things sound interesting to you, and you don't need them until after march.. I am doing mine as follows: 38 Guests Ceremony - 4PM champagne toast to follow on the beach. and then will get photos taken. Dinner at 6:30PM at Tony's Steakhouse 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM bonfire on the beach with an open bar and DJ Hope that helps!
