  2. Hey Ladies, I just wanted to let you know that Vistaprint.ca is having a big Canada day sale, and you can get rack cards and business cards etc.. for Free!! just pay the 4.00 shipping or what not so now would be a good time to print out your welcome letters or what not!!
  3. I realize that my wedding party is travelling a far distance etc to attend our wedding, however We chose not to buy their dresses. I did choose a dress that was under 100.00 and i bought their barefoot jewellery and i am buying their hair flowers. I also bought them a really nice attendant gift ( a coach bag) .. and honestly.. i think that is just fine! I don't think it is taboo to not purchase their dresses and i don't think that it is rude or what not.. i think it is personal choice based on your budget, your wedding etc.. i don't think any which way is the right or wrong way these days.. I mean unless you are making them buy your own, and then choosing an expensive dress etc etc... If they are true friends and love you.. they won't mind buying a dress for your special day.. and they will be happy to stand up there beside you. If they are solely focused on how cheap or expensive their gifts you give them are.. or complain about those little things, then maybe it is a matter of re-evaluating who you have stand next to you... just my two cents
  4. I am not too sure.. I know i sure wish i could view them alot sooner.. maybe it is just to ensure you aren't a spammer or something? i dunno.. heheh
  5. Great job! those are so cute! i chose to do the message in the bottle theme, but had i not done those, i was going to do the passport invites.. i just didn't think i was talented enough to pull them off!! hahaha
  6. Yeah they are quite cool! apparently they are big in Japan and china and such, for celebrations.. and they are apparently starting to get big here too! Here i was thinking we were pretty smart and doing something soo cool and original, and then lately all of these movies have been coming out where they are doing it! hahah oh well! i am still quite pumped about them
  7. I was under the impression that the vendor fee covered them for coming onto the resort, i would like to know if that is not the case too!
  8. Wow he is awesome!!! we are doing steel pan band through the resort, we were thinking of having us walk down the aisle to it, and then he can just keep playing after the ceremony.. for the hour or what not... Does he get booked through the resort or do you have to contact him seperately? he is really good!!
  9. I think a beach reception and dinner would be beautiful! i too would be worried about the wind or rain.. Maybe you could set it up with the resort to have the beach reception, but a back up plan in place in case it is windy or raining? that way you have a back up plan and you can gage what you will do, on the fly depending on the weather? Good luck!
  10. I agree also! you have to remember.. it is YOUR wedding!
  11. I am much the same! I could care less either way if i have one.. So i figure that whatever happens, happens! if someone wants to have one for me, then i will be okay with it.. if no one plans one, then i am okay with that too! I do agree though with the other Brides on here.. You do only intend to get married once! so live it up and embrace some of the fun stuff that goes along with getting married! let people spoil you if they want to
  12. Wow! that is amazing!! I have 30 OOT bags to make, so i would think that would be quite expensive to do ? Such a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing
  13. That is a nice idea! i love the bonfire on the beach idea.. so nice! I haven't fully decided what we will be doing, it is likely that we will just have a cocktail hour type thing. i will still have to figure that tid bit out
  14. Like this thread for example http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/63452/a-ton-of-templates
  15. Hey Ladies, I am having a really hard time trying to find a bridal place here in Calgary that will have good affordable dresses... I used to be engaged years ago... and i went to Ethos Bridal and bought my dress, however they are all so expensive there. I don't want to spend 1000.00 on a dress.. infact below 4 or 500 would be ideal... Bridal centre i heard is also very expensive... Does anyone have any good suggestions? my wedding is 7.5 months away and i have not even started!! i am starting to get antsy about it, as everyone is telling me i should go immediately! ( however like most brides i am sure, i am trying to hold off as i have been losing weight, and will continue to do so.. ) as i don't want to have to get it completely re altered and changed, when i lose more weight.. *sigh* any help/advise would be appreciated!! Thanks Ladies!
  16. I like #1, it has a lighter flowy look to it, and would go beautifully with your dress, but having said that, i think neither one is a poor choice. they are both really nice!
