Hey All, I know alot of people ask all the time on here for templates for the dollar store first aid kits.. i have done alot of searching on the threads and found a few of them, so i thought i would post them all on one place. There is the Oh Sh!t kit, the blue heart template and then the one with the stick men. The one i found had someone's monogram on it, so i just took out the monogram and made it so it is a general template that people can adjust and play with as they see fit.. so THANK You to all the ladies i got these from, but just posting so that they are all in one place Thanks! Have you tried Micheals, or a craft store like that in your area? Micheals, or a scrapbooking store will surely have it Good Luck Ladies!

I got mine at 8seasons.com.. and they were really cheap! i got like 50 key card holders ( waterproof) for like 8.00 or something.. very cheap and they are decent quality! i was happy with them!

Oh cool!!! I am getting married on a Thursday at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach! so i guess right after the wedding reception we can go down to the beach party! woohoo! Thanks for that as i never knew they did that!

Aww Thanks Torilynnesmith!! This weekend i spend what seemed like forever just searching for a good first aid kit label and then changing it to how i liked it.. and because my wedding is more of a starfish theme.. i bought little starfish bookmarks for everyone's OOT and so i made up a little card, that explains the symbolism of the starfish and i am going to attach it to the starfish bookmark box.. just to further clarify as to why we chose that etc... Also, I spoke with the Calgary Lady that works at Jamaica Tourism, and she is not only sending me travel magazines for my bag for free.. she also sent me 3D glasses and a little 3D video on Jamaica.. for EACH person!!!!!! she said they will help pump up our guests and get them excited for the tripand she mailed them to me so i should be getting them in the next few days.. i am pretty excited!!! Krsmith: I am excited to finish the bags, but honestly we do still have lots of time to get them done they are just so fun to work on!!! it is hard not to do it.. i am really enjoying the whole process... My thing is, i havent even started looking for wedding dresses yet. I am doing that this saturday as i suppose i should get my butt in gear! hahah Anyway, if anyone needs my template for the first aid kit.. ( it is the one with the little stick men on it) lemme know!

hey Torilynnsmith, My Mom and i are now thinking about taking a trip to the states... and what stores did you go to? Big lots and the dollar tree?? please let me know as i would be all over getting some of those awesome scores!!

I am sorry you are stuck in this situation.. the Ladies on here are right.. it is soo common with a DW for the Bride and Groom to be to be put in this situation.. which is soo unfortunate.. But have you thought about doing a small city hall type thing. and get legally married at home, and with your parents, and then still go through the DW and honeymoon where you want it? that may work where you can keep everyone happy yet still do what YOU want...

I can't wait to see it either!! soon!!! hahaha i need a spreadsheet that has everything.. infact.. i need all the help i can get period!!

Hey Ladies, I am getting married February, 2012 in Montego Bay Jamaica The travel agent we used was AMA Travel in Crowfoot.. they had the best package prices ( and trust me.. i checked like 5 or 6 travel agents before i chose this one) and the cool thing is. you don't even have to be an AMA member! My only concern right now, is that i have not even begun to look at wedding dresses.. nevermind get one ordered, and we are only 7 months away! so now i am starting to feel a bit panicked! hahah I am hoping that you ladies can help me out with some ideas of bridal shops here in Calgary that are good, with some nice but affordable dresses... I am not wanted to spend 1000.00 or even close to that on a dress... I am thinking like 500 at the most.. if i can... anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Ours is at about 13K-14K, which is higher than i wanted, however most of that is out actual flight and hotels. My FI and i are going for 2 weeks, and so the total for flight and hotel was 7600.00 , and then our wedding package with all flowers, photographer etc... was basically 5K. and then we have our OOT bags, and dress etc.. that ate the rest hahah... ad we are having approx. 35 guests.. so really, i think it still works out to be cheaper, being that we get a honeymoon included in this price. I think we would have spent more than that, or maybe around the same amount, just for the wedding, including no honeymoon had we chosen to do an at home wedding.

I agree!! do Two MOH's, or None and have all just Bridesmaids! it avoids you having to make the tough decision or hurt anyone's feelings! in my case, my sister and i made a vow to each other when we were kids, that when we grew up and got married, we would be eachother's MOH's.. so that's exactly what we did Good luck!

That is kind of how i was thinking too JayKay... I am getting a bit of push back from my Mom on this whole thing though, as we are going dress shopping next weekend.. and she wants to buy my dress, but then keeps making comments like " i thought you were ordering it online where it will be so much cheaper?!.. i am not spending 1000.00 on a dress .. etc.. " so to make her happy i am trying to keep the costs down as much as possible and even offered to pay the difference... I guess we will just see what happens!! hahaha she also wants me to get basically a white sundress.. *eye roll* i like the dresses.. but it is just not what i want for me hahah.. I guess we will see how it goes!!

I have yet to have the discussion on garter toss and bouquet toss with the FI. I am not too sure if we will be doing that stuff yet... we only have 3 single people ( all guys) in the group of guests.. so i am not too sure... i like the idea of the oldest wife getting the bouquet.. that is sweet..

I have a button from my Grandmother's wedding dress ( that my Mom had on her wedding gown) and i also have a button from my Mother's wedding gown.. i don't have my dress yet, but i will be finding somewhere to put them on my dress! That will be my something old... and I am borrowing my sister's tiffany bracelet for the borrowed..

For us we specifically put on our website that we don't want any gifts, as people choosing to spend alot of money coming to our wedding, is gift enough. We have also been living together for a long time now, and we already have our house etc.. so we decided not to register anywhere. I think that if people are so inclined to give us a gift even after we say we don't need or want anything, then they will do it on their own accord whether it be a toaster or money etc... That's just what we are doing though.. it think it is whatever the Bride and Groom want.. it is quite common for people to ask for money rather than gifts now.. the tricky part is just finding the right wording, or way to present it, that doesn't seem tacky Good luck!

Thanks JayKay, I have a feeling i will be spending more than i want too.. unless i try on dresses and styles here in the stores, and then order something online... I am just so nervous about ordering online... hahaha

Good scores on everything Torilynnsmith! i agree.. Canadian Brides definately get the short end of the stick when it comes to prices and variety... I unfortunately will not be taking any trips to the states before my wedding, so i am going to have to order everything ( pepto, advil etc... ) online..
