Hi! Yes.. the Turquoise and the Light blue material has been SOLD. To be honest i am don't remember how wide it is.. i would say approx 24' ?? but this is seriously just a guess.. lol

Thank you so much sgreen99, it was actually perfect.. i am biased of course.. but there is NOTHING that i would have changed.. and i am being completely honest! well except for the wind.. hahaha it was a little windy for day.. not that it was super bad, but it was a challenge when my hair and dress kept blowing all over the place.. so it was hard for some photos lol.. i got the sky lanterns from weddinglanterns.com as they seemed to be the cheapest pertaining to shipping to Canada etc.. all the others had a ton for shipping.. so that is why i went with them It wasn't too bad actually.. they had the resort staff standing guard and trying to prevent people walking behind us and what not.. so we didnt really have that as an issue.. i guess one guy had snuck through but one of my guests shooed him away.. i didnt even notice! someone told me about it afterward hahaha.. but all in all it wasn't bad at all! My ceremony was at 4:00PM and we did that to allow us enough daylight to be able to get photos taken before sunset

Iforgot to mention.. the cake was not complete in this photo.. i cant find the complete pic at this point hahah.. but it turned out gorgeous when it was all complete. Also to answer the ladies above, the resort had no issues with the lanterns, infact they brought lighters and tiki torches on the beach to help us get them lit they were great!!!!

Well Ladies, We have been back for a few weeks already... Hard to believe next weekend we will be married a month already! hahahah so i am just quickly logging on to post some "after photos" I must say.. everything turned out PERFECT!!! more than perfect infact!! My wedding coordinator was amazing.. Hotel was amazing.. Photographer ( Misha Earle. A-MAZING) please see below for some pics This is my wedding cake.. the resort made the cake, however i made arrangements with the Wedding coordinator and chef, that my aunt would be decorating my cake.. she brought all of the cake decorations including fondant and molding chocolate.. in her suitcase with her heheh.. honestly this picture does not do the cake justice.. just setting up the decoration These were the highlight of alot of people's night.. honestly, people are still talking about this!!!! lol highly recommend the sky lanterns! another shot of the decoration on our arch.. Our steel pan band that played for our ceremony.. they were booked through the resort.. and were awesome!!!! they even let me step in back with them and play! lol they sounded ALOT better than i did.. thats for sure! but they entertained me nontheless lol. and now here are a few sneak peak professional pics i got from my photographer tonight.. ( Misha Earle) i will get the rest of my pics in a couple weeks.. but she gave me some teasers hehehe I will try to add more later but this is an idea.. and if anyone has any questions.. please do not hesitate to ask!!!

Hey Poddoc, Soo i can't honestly tell you now what the vendor fee was, because my photographer had it in her contract that she covered visitor fees and vendor fees, so she paid it! so i am not too sure if they charged her 75.00 or 100.00 on top of the day passes. Sorry i couldn't be of more help! I did post a planning thread.. and i will try to post a review with pics, i am waiting however for my professional pics to come in before i do that!!

OMG!!! I saw you come over to the beach getting photos taken!!! i thought you looked soo pretty!!! infact the last pic you posted, had a guy sitting on a beach chair in the background hahah that is one of my wedding guests and friends!! hahahaha If i had known it was you i would have come up and said hello!! Congrats girl!! I was just a few days behind you! we got married at the beach, and much the same as the suites, i recommend it to everyone!!!!!

Hey! Okay so this may be answered in a later post .. ( i just got back this morning fro my two week wedding/Honeymoon at IBRB, and it was amazing.. Kymoya is FANTASTIC!!!! they have eery email you ever discussed on file ad so don't worry about the whole transfer from Silvia to Kymoya.. this girl knows what she is doin!! I was worried before i left due to sometimes emails not getting answered etc.. but trust me.. you have nothing to worry about.. in person they put you at ease and everything will be exactly as you request.. whether it was with Kymoya or Silvia.. they will decorate for you for a non private.. we had that and they set it up really nicely with my decorations, table runners etc... i am not sure about lanterns though as i didn't have any... hope this helps!

We booked our well in advance, as i a a planner, and i know that these resorts book up fast.. It was only a few months ago on here that one bride was devestated because half of her wedding group hadn't booked yet, as they were waiting for a lower price, but in the meantime ALL THREE Iberostar hotels were fully booked for the week of her wedding and half her guests didn't get a room... I couldn't handle that stress so we booked early.. lol But good luck to you ladies to wait!!!! 4 ore days and i fly out!!! 7 ore days and i will be married! eiik!!! Now if i can just get rid of this stupid massive head cold i have, i will be good to go!

Thank you soo much to all of you ladies for the support and well wishes!!! It is seriously so hard to believe it is just around the corner.. and i remember reading other ladies planning thread thinking it would be a million years before i had to do one! hahaha.. tuna, i got my chair tie wraps from two places actually.. the turquoise ones, i bought them from a fellow BDW bride.. and the royal blue ones i found on ebay.. i just did a search and found a company out of china.. that is where i ended up getting my starfish charms, and the fabric for the huppa too, because believe it or not they were super easy and nice to deal with.. they shipped quite fast.. and they were very affordable * all of this stuff will be for sale when i get back * lol Steal away!!! i got it from another BDW bride on here.. so i wasn't my idea to start off.. Steal away!!! I would have been completely LOST without the BDW brides and all of their ideas.. i got so many ideas and inspirations from this board... i am glad i can finally pay it forward!! Oh my gosh Ladies.... I am one week away from leaving!!!! BUT... whatever i missed i will add when i get back!!!!

We don't have a flower girl, or Ring bearers, so we decided to order two of these... my Mom will hold one set of rings ( my Grandparents rings) and my FI will hold the other one, with our wedding bands on it. And now for my dress and accessories. I don't have pictures yet of my shoes, and my barefoot jewelry, but they are really pretty! I am wearing the barefoot jewelry for the ceremony, and on the beach.. the shoes will be for the dinner etc... For shoes i wanted something very laid back and simple, so i am just wearing white flip flops with some bling on the top ( i will get pics soon!) As for the Bridesmaids and groomsman... Here are the Bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal.. I don't have photos of the groomsman outfits yet, as all of the guys live long distance from us, but i will post one after the wedding, when we get photos of them.. The Groomsman outfits are turquoise blue Guayabera shirts, with natural linen color Linen pants. My Fiance is wearing a white Guayabera Shirt with Natural Linen Pants. And here is my Dress!! I didn't want anything too heavy, fancy or anything with a train to drag in the sand.. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money on a dress... Sorry the photo is a bit blurry... and my face is a little "over happy" .. my bridesmaid taking the photo was making fun of me for looking so serious.. so i was lie " fine!! how is this!!!" lol The back is a tie back... and Now for the OOT Bags, and everything in them... Here are the canvas bags, along with what we are putting in them. here are the holy sh!t kits put together These are the snack packs we are also putting in the bags Along with these, we are adding some flip flop notebooks, bathing suit bags we got from La Vive en rose, a beach ball, a welcome letter rack card that we made with vistaprint. Unfortunately i didn't take a picture of the rack cards, or the welcome booklets before i packed them... but i will add those pics later.. The welcome books are full page books, with information on Jamaica, pictures and information on our guests, summary of the events for the week, and then a games section with puzzles and crosswords about my FI and I. So for the most part, this pretty much sums it up!! Sorry this is so long, and i am almost positive i am missing some things.. , however i am a bit of a scatterbrain right now.. so i will add whatever i miss when i get back! If anyone has any questions about where i got anything, or what i paid etc.. please feel free to ask!

Here are our wedding Bands.. the first ones are ours.. and the 2nd ones ( the yellow gold) were my Grandparents rings. When we got engaged, My Grandma gave them to me. My Grandpa passed away a couple years ago, and she wanted to make sure the set stayed together. she asked if we would take them and want to get married with them. So that is exactly what we are doing. we are encorporating them into the ceremony, and will be wearing them on our right hands. We are also getting married on my Grandma's Birthday.. she couldn't travel to Jamaica to be with us.. but we are very close.. so we thought this would be a great way to honor her. Sorry the lighting was really poor when trying to take photos of the rings. This is the fabric for the Huppa, and the chair tie wraps.. they are light blue, turquoise blue and Royal Blue These are the starfish we are tying to the Huppa. We have small ones, to tie on the backs of the chairs, on the bows of the chair wraps.. These are the table numbers, the bag tags, for the OOT bags, and the name cars for each plate at the table that my Mom and I made... As for table decorations.. we wanted to keep it very simple. so with the name tags, the table numbers and the starfish wedding favors, we are just adding some seashell glass votive candle holders, and some seashells spead on the tables, and that is it!

Wow!! first of all i just have to say, i can't believe it is my turn to do this thread!!! It seems like just yesterday i came on this board for the first time and thought.. wow! my wedding is not for another 11 months! seems soo far away. I am now One week away from leaving for Jamaica!!! I don't really have it al together so i am kind of winging it, so i do apologise if i am kind of all over the place. I just have so much on y mind right now.. as i am sure any of you ( if you haven't yet already) will go through too!!! Okay. so here we go!! The Engagement So my FI and i had been together for 4 years, living together for over 3... and he is not the "romantic" type guy.. so it was St. Patrick's day, and i was at home after work... eating my Chili.. when he came home ( from his massage appointment.. which i found out later was infact out for dinner with my parents, asking the permission ) He was acting kind of rushed and strange when he got home.. and so when he walked into the kitchen, i heard him moving the kitchen chairs around.. i still didn't think too much into it.. He asked me to come in the kitchen and check out something, and when I walked in... he was on one knee and then asked me to marry him.. I was completely beside myself!! I was still holding my bowl of chili!! hahah He did it in his own way.. and although it was in our kitchen, and nothing crazy or romantic to most.. it was still so perfect! I was completely suprised, and had no idea it was coming. he picked out the ring and everything on his own, without me knowing at all.. i wouldn't have changed a thing! The planning So we decided on Jamaica, and it didn't take long before we decided on the resort. We chose the Iberostar for many reasons. One of the main reasons though, is that they only do one wedding a day. That and they had great reviews Then we went through the motions of choosing invites, a theme and colors.. these were our invites.. from hansonellis.com These are the favors... from hansonellis.com My Flowers Below are the coach bags we bought the bridesmaids for the gifts.. I don't have pictures of the Groomsman gifts, but we got them White Oakley sunglasses. We got these to put in the OOT bags, it is a bottle opener, a sewing kit and chapstick. We got this wish pot for the reception, as we are releasing sky lanterns and we thought it would be neat to have a wishing pot where people could write down wishes and put them in the pot. Our Guestbook.. cheesy.. but i LOVE it! heheh This is our cake topper.

Yayyy you are back!!! we thought of you and mentioned best wishes lots while you were away welcome back and congratulations again!!!! so happy you had great weather and everything was perfect!! I used Kim McCrae with AMA Travel ( you don't have to be a AMA member) she has been great, and the prices were better than the other TA's i researched.. the AMA office is in Crowfoot.. but we dealt via phone and email.. and we had guests in Kelowna, Calgary, Toronto, other places in BC. and it all worked perfectly!! I leave for my wedding in LESS than 2 weeks now!! woohoo!!
